Chapter 5 Unforseen Disaster

Ava's P.O.V

Ceo Cold walked into the hospital room and told me I was discharged so after I was done with my soup we headed to my house. The drive was quiet but soothing. When we finally arrived by my home, I got off the vehicle only to realize CEO Cold got off together with me. He said that since I was just discharged he would accompany me to the door.

We walked past the front gate, and I realized that the front door was slightly opened. I frowned CEO Cold who seemed to have been aware oh my unease asked

" What's wrong?"

"The front door is slightly open, my mom never leaves the front door open and especially not at this hour, I just fine is strange," I said with a forced smile

"If you suspect there is something wrong, I will enter first you stay here"

CEO Cold then walked in front of me and entered through the door, I followed behind him.

The house that usually looked bright seemed to have turned creepy, in the mere few hours I was gone. Upon entering the living room, I realized that it was in a mess. I started to feel scared

"Mom!" I shouted, " where are you?"

I ran to the other rooms but my mom was nowhere to be found I started to panic.

I rushed back down the stairs with teary eyes just in time to see that CEO Cold hang up his phone. Looking at my panicked face he said

"I've already contacted the police they will be here soon."

He asked if I was okay and all I could do was nod no "my mom is missing and our house has been ransacked what is going on?" I said with tears in my eyes.

He walked towards me and hugged me and said "Everything is going to be okay."

I searched my purse for my phone and tried to call my dad but he didn't pick up. I kept on calling but to no avail. I started to panic more. What is going on? Why isn't he picking up?

Mason's P.O.V

Today really hasn't been the best day ever. After she was discharged, I dropped her home and who would have known that when I accompanied her to the front door, we would discover that her home had been ransacked and her mom is missing. The first thing I did was call the police whilst she searched through the entire house looking for her mom. I know I'm her boss but when I saw her panicking like that I couldn't help myself. I went up to her and gave her a hug. I even shocked myself, why am I doing things for her that I've never done for other women.

Anyway, the police arrived soon and went in to investigate, Ava just stood there blank so I kept her into my embrace and dealt with the police. I couldn't leave her in the house so I stuffed her back into my car and headed to my home.

She stayed silent the entire way and I could tell that today was probably the worst day of her life.

When we arrived at my home, we both got off the car and she followed me in. I brought her to the leaving room and allowed her to seat. Then, I went to the kitchen to pour her a cup of hot milk.

She took the cup of hot milk and drank it all and she rested her head on me. After a few hours of her nonstop crying and my continuous coaxing. She fell asleep, you can guess what happened next. I carried her to the guest room, and when I laid her down on the bed.

The silly woman frowned and kept on searching for what she had just lost. I stood there amazed by this woman. I covered her up and left the room.

I'm really curious about her, I want to figure out what I feel towards her and why her out of all the women out there.
