Chapter 5 5

Brianna runs into a restaurant perspiring heavily. The restaurant, however, is empty with no soul in sight which was very suspicious. Although this wasn't the best restaurant, it certainly had customers so why was it empty today? She became agitated.

'"Why...but...they said it's here. Why is it empty?" confused, she entered the restaurant looking around in worry. Dave, her nephew was in danger and she couldn't find him. What was she to do?

While she was lost in thoughts, the restaurant's door suddenly closed and the scenery changed. She saw that she is now in a large, spacious room that had no furniture but blood spattered on the wall.

3 men appeared before her looking very strange and dressed in black t-shirts and red trousers. On their foreheads were skull crests which made them look scary. Brianna was a bit scared when she saw them.

"Who...who are you guys?" she asked with a shaky voice. What the hell was happening here?

One of the men was just 1 meter tall while the other two were 8ft each. The trio had holes on both ears and on their noses and they also looked feminine. The short man amongst the three grinned and clapped.

"That was pretty fast of you. I admire your speed" he said in false praise.

"Don't beat around the bush. Tell me, where is he?" she gathered some courage to speak. She couldn't be weak at this moment. If Dave was in their hands, he was in great peril. She won't let anything happen to him.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't be too harsh. You know what? I must admit you look better when angry. That's a tip!" said the short guy with a meaningful smile.

Brianna wasn't here to play. "Where is he?" she asked again.

"Easy girl! You don't need to be so harsh. I say it's bad for your health you know. Oh, right! We don't even know each other. I am Pokemon or you can call me Pokkey" said the short guy.

The first tall man introduced himself.

"Call me Satanic"

"And call me Redwolf," said the second tall man with a smile.

"You're Brianna. Very pretty! Dave was right about you but sadly, tsk,tsk,tsk...he's gone" Pokemon said it lightly.

"You..." Brianna placed her hands in her pockets with a smile.

"Well then, since he's dead, I have no business with you anymore " she then turns around to leave calmly.

"Hey wait! You can't go just like that. You came to negotiate right?" Pokemon said.

"I obeyed your command to come alone without involving the police" Brianna turned back and flatly replied.

"Oh that's good," said Pokemon. He pulls a chair from the magic ring on his right ring finger and sat. Then he crossed his legs and made a kissy face which looked rather disgusting to Brianna.

"You must wonder..why we look so girly right?" asked Satanic.

"Byebye!" she turned to leave after hissing.

"Hahaha, " Pokemon laughed evilly and clapped again.

"Wow, guys! She sure is tough. I like it" he commented and then turned to face his two buddies

"What do you think we should do to them?" he asked.

"But she's the only one here," said Redwolf.

"Shush! I'll be serious now" Pokemon sneezes and rubs his palms together.

"You win Brianna, you win. Your beloved Dave is indeed not dead. Put your hands together for our new elites" Pokemon said with a smile and at once 12 men appeared. Each of them was chewing gum. They looked like girls and tough nuts at the same time.

"Whoa! Good job!" Pokemon praised and one of the 12 men who just appeared walked to Brianna with a smile.

He has pale brown lips, indigo hair, and a nose ring. Brianna stood her ground looking calm yet uncertain of what to do or what would happen next. These people had some weird powers and abilities. She wouldn't doubt if they said they'd killed Dave. Ah, what kind of people did Dave meet. Yes her nephew is annoying but he's never brought trouble that she can't fix. This time she's unsure of what to even do.

The pale brown-lipped man named Asher went on one knee and brought out a slightly large red box. When he opened the box, Brianna saw a dead snake and two human hands. She then gasped in fear. Whose hands were those? It couldn't be Dave's right?

"You.." her body trembled and she was close to tears at this point. "That's not...they aren't Dave's right?" she asked.

"Actually.." Satanic muttered and 3 more men appeared. One of them was on his knees and bound in chains. He had been beaten black and blue and Brianna recognized him.

"Dave?" Brianna called out in shock.

"Sister?" the young man in bruises called out to her weakly.

"Dave" Brianna called out to him again in distress. She wanted to run over to him but she was stopped by one of the men who had pink and yellow hair that reached his waist and was made into a ponytail.

"Don't you move, young woman coz any mistake and boom! I'll blow his head off" Pokemon said balefully.

"Tell me, what do you really want? Please let him go" Brianna cried.

" We are the Graceful knights. We can't be called assassins but more or less like it. Dave here has eagle eyesight which we find very useful. Also, his body is very flexible. I bet Soffie Dossi is still a baby in terms of flexibility compared to Dave." said Pokemon.

"I think he's cute too like a little bunny. All we just want is simple stuff. Let Dave join us then you and that old bag of bones can have enough to live a good life," said Redwolf.

"No...no take me instead. Let him go..." Brianna pleaded close to tears.

'Sister...do not agree..." cried Dave

"Dave, I promised aunt Ama before she left that I won't let you get hurt," replied Brianna.

"I've lost my hands. It's no use if you join them " said Dave who was crying from the 'stinging pain'.

"Let him go... I'll take his place." Bianna firmly said to the evil men.

"Really?" Pokemon raised an eyebrow indifferently and smirks.

"Yes. Please let him go." Brianna nodded quickly. She would do anything so long as he's alive.

"It's a pity," said Asher as he threw a dagger at Dave whom the two men had left to his own fate.

"Noooooo" Brianna ran as fast as her legs could carry her to take the shot but was a hairbreadth too late. The dagger ended inside Dave's chest.

"Oops! Sorry...that was an accident. Anyway since you chose to take his place he's no longer useful" said Asher.

"You..how dare you?.. Dave..." she made him lie on her laps. Blood kept gushing out of Dave's chest. He was now pale and weak. This was not the energetic Dave she knew.

"Sister...it's not your fault. It's all my fault..." Dave struggled to speak.

"Dave... don't leave sister"

"Brianna..." Dave coughed out blood

"Brianna...please... don't cry...take...take care...of...of...Grandma...do not tell her I'm gone...and... and...and...take care...of...of...of...yourself. I love you big sis...I...also..." Dave's head fell low and his body became rigid. He had expired.

"Nooo...Dave...Dave...your alive right? Dave this is a joke, right? Dave...Dave...wake up...wake up..big sis is here... Dave..." Brianna began to cry while hugging the corpse.

"I think Dave did well. This is truly real. I'll compensate him later handsomely" thought Pokemon and then he said to Brianna:

"He's gone. Get up and let's negotiate. Enough of this lovey-dovey scene"

"Why should I? What do we have to talk about?" Brianna asked in anger.

"Easy there lassy. Don't be so harsh. You see... I'm an epileptic and also have leukaemia.." said Pokemon

"You..." no words could leave her mouth and she ended up coughing.

"Eish! if you want your old hag to live a few more months get your ass here right now," said Satanic.

"You killed Dave. Kill me too. He's all I have." she yelled.

"Wow, another ruthless babe. Say how about you serve us all *licks his lips* you sure have a great booty." teased Pokemon.

Brianna closed her eyes to calm herself down.

"I don't want them to find out my weakness. But I won't let them hurt grandma."Brianna thought.

"Hey! Are you praying? Who are you praying to? Mother Ganges? Krishna? Nuwa? Buddha? Siva? Or is it Saraswati?" asked Redwolf

Brianna remained silent with her eyes closed.

"This would have been a perfect scene if she were in a meditative pose," commented Satanic.

"Bro, doesn't tell me you're soft-hearted now?" said Redwolf who shook his blonde hair in disgust. Brianna, however, continued to remain silent. Her eyes did not open.

Seeing this, Satanic scoffed. "So what? Are you disappointed? Brianna..."

"You all are evil," Brianna said with her eyes still closed.

"We are Graceful knights. Though we are not much we can promise security," said Asher.

Brianna opened her eyes irritated. "Enough! You can guarantee security? Mr Pokemon, why don't you just say you can easily kill your mother?" Brianna barked.

"Hey, don't you dare drag my Mama into this. Do you hear me?" a pissed Pokemon warned.

"Wow. Now you have a big mouth lassie." said a blue-haired man who had just appeared. He lit up a cigar and nodded at 2 members who were twins and had rings on each side of their noses. He then continued:

"Brianna, Dave is gone. Your grandma's next. We're giving you 5 days. Just 5 days. Oh and one more thing. My little brother can't wait to taste you."

"Don't worry I will give you an answer that satisfies you all," said Brianna as she gently put down Dave's head and rose.

"Till then we can only help you keep your beloved Dave in a coffin. Don't worry, he won't stink or rot. Remember..." said Pokemon.

"We love you" they all chorused and blew her kisses in unison and the scenery changed back to that of the Ice fever restaurant that was still empty. Brianna was no longer shocked considering the abilities those men had shown her earlier. So what was she to do? Dave whom she tried to save had died and her Grandma's life was on the line.

"Ahhhh" she yelled and pulled her hair in frustration. She sat on the floor for a few minutes before slowly picking up her purse to leave. When Brianna had left the restaurant the so-called Graceful knights who had been watching her through their magical window portal, sighed.

"Tsk. Tsk. Bag of skin and bones. Atchoo! Atchoo!" Asher started to sneeze all of a sudden. "Sorry! Atchooo...Atchooo"

"Asher, stop sneezing. You can poison the whole of Asia with it." snapped Pokemon

"You guys, if you don't mind can you please recall I have a stomach ulcer?" complained Redwolf.
