Chapter 4 4

Somewhere on a lonely road.....

A black, cheap-looking car runs madly on the lonely road. Inside are two people; one silent and irritated, the other young and cheerful.

"Big bro, ride faster! this is too slow" the little girl mumbled unhappily.

"This is the limit of the car," replied her brother, Andy.

"No, no it ends at 300km/h. Can you increase your speed to 280? Please!"

"No, no way! I said no. Or maybe...you can get out of the car. I have a meeting to attend. It would save me time." Andy spoke with a deeper hint of irritation.

"Big bro, how can you be like this to me. Fine! I'll get down. After all, trekking is even faster than your riding" the little Amanda threatened.

"Your welcome princess," he said indifferently.

There was rumbling from the sky which had suddenly turned dark.

"Big bro, it's going to rain,'' the little girl looked concerned.

"What's with that face? Nothing will happen anyway. I forgot to tell you that..." * suddenly he starts coughing heavily*

"Brother are you okay? You better not play tricks on little sis," she spoke in a quivering voice.

"Amanda I..."

He coughed more heavily and it seemed he was getting weaker by the moment. His face became very pale and Amanda became very frightened.

"Stop the car" she screamed in fear. "Andy, stop this thing"

Just then Andy fainted with his head on the steering. Little Amanda began to hit Andy out of frustration.

He had promised her a ride but what was this? She got very anxious and scared that something bad might happen.

"Amanda, this is just a little warning. Just because you are a princess at home doesn't give you the right to pester and order this king around. Cry, Cry! Humph!" Andy thought with relish.

Seeing his evil stepsister in a dilemma made him happy. Little Amanda cried as the car swerved to the right, middle and left Also at this critical moment, a truck was coming.

Amanda's heart nearly leapt out of her chest and her wits were scared off.

"What do I do now? Big bro has fainted. Also, I've always wanted to drive. No, what am I thinking? It's all Andy's fault for fainting. I don't wanna die yet. I know what to do" Amanda looked at Andy one more time and opened the door. This was a dangerous moe but she's not gonna throw her young, beautiful and precious life away when she hadn't even seen the world enough yet.

"I am sorry but I have to get out. Please do forgive me and rest in peace or pieces," she sniffed and jumped down out of the car quickly. She rolled on the hard, rough road for a while and then stopped when she hit a boulder.

"Ouch! Ow! it hurts" she sucked in her breath "I'm sorry big bro. Forgive me. I'm sorry, I had no choice." she cried out loudly. It was her fault. Maybe if she hadn't persisted in him taking her on a ride. Maybe...

She couldn't bear to look as the car sped towards the truck. If Andy died, she would be forever guilty.

But surprisingly, the car in question swerved to the right and avoided the incoming truck and then sped away at unbelievable speed. The supposed fainted Andy had gotten up and started texting who knows. The car was self-drive series. He just never told Amanda.

Amanda opened her eyes wide in disbelief. For once, she felt so stupid.

"This man is he really my brother? He...how can he do this to me and flee? Doesn't he have a conscience? What to do now? Oh right! Why didn't silly me think of that?" she brought out her phone only to find that it was broken.

"Andy-y-yy-y-y-y-y you'll pay for this. You won't go free." as she spoke, a heavy wind blew and lightning struck out of the blue. The environment became chilly fast.

"It's so cold here. Rain, please don't fall yet" she cried.

Unfortunately for her, the rain did not listen to her but instead poured down. Amanda who did not even find a tree to hide under got drenched by the rain.

"Andy, if I survive, i won't let you off. I'll deal with you" Amanda swore as she hugged herself shivering uncontrollably.
