Chapter 2 5 years ago (Beloveds' death)

Thud!

It happened so fast, Mr. Smith didn't catch her on time. Luckily, he was able to protect his daughter's head to prevent from landing onto the concrete floor or else the consequences would be unimaginable. He can't afford to lose her. Life would be meaningless for him.

Izzabelle is the only one left for him. He had to do something. Back to his senses, he quickly lifted his daughter in his arms and brought her into her own room. Placing her carefully in the middle of the bed, he tucked her in gently while kissing her forehead. He observed her for a few minutes and slowly retreated to his own room to take some rest.

"Izzy you need to be strong honey, take care of yourself and also your dad. Your brother ang I will be leaving you for a while, be good okay? We love you Izzy..!" Her mom speaks to her lovingly, while caressing her cheeks.

"I will mom..! But where are you guys going? Mom..! Mom..! Mom..! please wait!" She shouted desperately on top of her lungs. Her hands on the air waving, trying to reach for something but can't find any.

On the other side of the house, Mr. Smith was awakened by Izzabelle's loud yelling. He jumped from his bed and run to his daughter's room to check on her.

There he saw his princess sobbing while sleeping, and shakily raises her hands trying to reach for something. Seeing his daughter weeping, his heart clenched painfully. He knows she's dreaming with his wife and son.

He tapped his daughter's arm slightly to wake her up from her dreams.

Izzabelle opens her teary eyes slowly and cried even harder seeing her dad in front of her.

"Dad please tell me, I'm just dreaming right? Mom and Inzo are just outside right?" She pleaded looking into his eyes, trying to convince her father.

Mr. Smith just hugged her tightly while rubbing his daughter's back to soothe her and kissed her forehead repeatedly to calm her down.

"Shusshh princess, everything will be okay.., We still have each other remember? I'm always here for you baby, we will get through this together okay?"

He tried hard not to tremble his voice to pacify his freaking out daughter. Deep inside, he's also grieving for their loss. But he have to act naturally to assure his daughter that everything will be fine.

They stayed for half an hour comforting each other, trying hard to accept the fact that they lost their beloveds forever,and their life would never be the same again.

Months passed in a blink of an eye.

Mr. Smith is trying every means to find out the real cause of their tragic death but failed. He can't do anything aside from hiring some investigation team. He always ended up frustrated, dissatisfied and disappointed with their performance. He won't stop until he got what he wants for the sake of his family.

Meanwhile Izzabelle was also trying hard to control her emotions not to affect her studies. She always cried her eyes out every time she misses her mom and brother. Attending in school could fully divert her attention from thinking of them.

Until one day, she's crying silently under the big tree beside her classroom, unknown to her, someone is watching her from a distance also feeling her sadness.
