Chapter 3 Victoria's pov

CHAPTER THREE

After yesterday's drama,I pretended as though nothing happened even when Anna asked me I just told her it was the drink but she wasn't convinced

but she did not push it which I was grateful for.To avoid any conversations I skipped breakfast and I told the matron I was having a headache so she allowed me to stay in the room.

My elder brother called me to check on me and we spoke for like 5 minutes and it wasn't hard to guess that we did not have the normal siblings relationship but we are getting there.

At around 12pm,Anna entered with Daniel tagging behind. I tried to pretend I was sleeping,but it was too late as Anna already saw me.

''Look what we brought." Anna said showing me the nylon she was holding and I noticed Daniel looking at me intently

"Yay ice-cream." I said with fake enthusiasm

"And I thought you would be happy." Anna pouted.

"I am happy.Hi Daniel." I greeted not looking at his face.

''Oh I want to get something from the tuck shop,I'll be right back." Anna said before rushing out the door.

"So you want to talk about what happened yesterday.I'm sure you were mad at me." He said sitting down on the bed close to me.

''No.I was drunk, nothing else."I told him repeating what I told Anna.

''You don't hate me do you?'' He asked again

''Of course not,why would I hate you." I said before mumbling ''I couldn't even if I wanted to."

''Sorry I did not stay by your side as I promised." He apologized with a small smile.

''I'll forgive you on one condition."

''Oh no''

''You won't say anything to Jason and Gideon about last night."

''Come on something else."

''Nope,that's it."

''Okay fine." He said after a while

''Thanks''

After the hard part was done,Daniel came closer engulfing me in a hug as if his life depended on it , not that I was complaining.

"Is it safe to come in now?"Anna asked peeping through the door.

"Yes." I answered.

''What a sight."She said referring to the way Daniel and I were sitting.

''Daniel said you can date Jason." I told her ignoring what she said.

''I did?''

''He did?'' The both of them asked at the same time.

''Yes Dee,you did.''

''Thank you." Anna said happily.

''I never said you could date him,i only promised not to say anything about the party." He clarified and Anna excitement dropped

''Same thing.Or would you rather she dates someone you know nothing about?'' I asked.

''I'd rather she don't date anyone."

After countless reasons and promises,he finally agreed but he had his own conditions not that it matters.

"Thank you so much,I don't know what I'll do without you." Anna said later that night after Daniel had left.

''You'll do just fine."

The next morning,we were fully dressed when the matron was spending us out for breakfast so we won't be late for class.

"What are we even having this morning?" I asked as we went towards the cafeteria.

''Rice I think."

''I'll pass,see you in class." I said I still didn't want to see Tessa and Daniel together.

''Are you sure you are not coming because you don't like Rice or another reason?'' she asked, narrowing her eyes at me.

''I don't like Rice and I want to read before class starts''.

''Ok.Let's pretend i believe you so see you later." She said waving me goodbye

''Eat for two."I yelled after her

Of course.

DANIEL'S POV

I couldn't wait to see vee this morning after yesterday's apology and all.I did not say anything to Jason much to their surprise but I told him that if he hurts my sister,he'll have me to deal with.

''Where's Vee?'' I asked when Anna arrived alone.

''She said she'll pass and that she wanted to read before class begins."

I still have the feeling she was avoiding me but I wasn't sure why.Anna sat between Jason and I and she was smiling shyly at him,''I really don't want to see this." I thought

''Can you not do that here?''I asked

''Do what?" Jason asked smirking at me

I wasn't in the mood for story so I just stood up to leave.

''Babe you did not eat." Tessa said

''I'm not hungry,see you in class."I told her turning back before she could say anything else.

''Call Victoria in ss2 for me." I told a junior as I went.

"OK Senior."

VICTORIA'S POV

"You don't mean it." I laughed loudly as I listened to the new girl talk about how she stood up to one of her teachers and got expelled.

"I do,I mean he was asking for it." she said.

''Hmm...eh...Senior victoria the games prefect is calling you." A junior said cutting the gist short...''seriously now of all time Daniel way to go." I thought.

''Ok thanks."

''Are You in trouble?'' Liz the new girl asked.

''You don't know the half if it."I told her

''You sent for me." I said as I got to where Daniel was.

''You skipped breakfast." He said stating the obvious.

''I did not want to eat rice."

"So you are not avoiding me?"

"Why would I?We settled everything yesterday."

''Thank God.He heaved in relief.Can he get any more cute?'' I thought

''I got you this since you did not eat." He said giving me the nylon he was holding which turned out to be my favorite snack "New yoker chocolate" and a drink.

''Thank you,you're the best." I said hugging him.

''I know right.I'm happy you finally agreed with me." He said with a smirk on his fine face.

''You're such a dork." I told him, hitting him on the arm.

The bell rang for classes to begin and I was a bit disappointed I had to leave.

''See you at lunch."

''Of course."

''Now hurry up or I'll have to punish you." He said jokingly or not.

''Yea I'd like to see you try." I said but started going in case he was serious and it wouldn't be funny.

''Bye." He said laughing.

In class,I introduced Liz to Anna who just smiled to be polite and I also showed her the biscuit Daniel got me.

''I'm so jealous,i shouldn't have eaten maybe I would've gotten one too." She said,"but I'm taking from it." she added

''Of course."

''Me too.Is he your boyfriend?'' Liz asked curiously.

"No." i answered but deep down I wished he was.

''Is he handsome?''she asked again

''Hmm...I don't want to listen to you guys talk on if my brother Daniel is handsome or not." Anna murmured she never had a problem when I talk about him.I thought

''Wait,your brother as in Senior Daniel...Daniel?'' She asked

''Yea." Anna replied in a bored tone

Something is definitely wrong with her.

Before I could ask her what was wrong,the teacher came in.''I don't trust her." She whispered

''You don't know her,give her a chance." I whispered back but she did not reply she just shrugged.

''Is that a yes?'' I asked but the teacher turned back to look at me sternly.

"She'll come around,liz seemed like a nice girl." I thought as I concentrated on what the teacher was saying.

At lunch,Liz sat with us and she wouldn't stop referring to Daniel in all her conversations which was starting to annoy me.Tessa was also irritated but kept quiet nevertheless.

''Daniel,you barely touched your food. Is there something wrong with the food?'' she asked.

''No and it's Senior Daniel to you."He said sternly

''But she calls you Daniel." She pouted '"Is this one okay." I thought.

"Because I asked her to." Daniel said standing up.

''Don't go I'm sorry." she shouted after him.''Did I do something wrong?'' she asked me...so I now exist huh.

''Go after him." Anna advised as I saw Tessa standing up.

''Go back." Tessa said."I'm already going." she added

''But I have to talk to him." I argued

''I'm sure he doesn't want to talk to you."

''You don't know for sure." Why can't I just keep quiet.

Before she could say anything else,I dashed towards the direction Daniel went and I could hear Tessa yelling profanities at me

"You know,too much sweet isn't good for your health." I asked when I found him.

"Tell me something I don't know"

"I'm really sorry about liz,she's just happy she got to sit with you." I apologized

"Don't worry about it.So why are you not eating?"He asked

"I came to see if you were okay,and Tessa said you wouldn't want to see me.I'm sure she hates me."

"She doesn't." He said

"Oh she does,you just don't know." I argued

He wanted to say something when the bell rang stopping him."I won." I laughed happily.

"Yea sure." He said laughing.He had such a beautiful laugh I could watch it all day long.

"I'm going now,before you decide to punish me.Byee." I yelled,but I could still hear his laughter.

''I told you I don't like that girl." Anna said when I got back to where she was but liz already went back to class.

"She's just happy she got to sit with the amazing Daniel,I mean who wouldn't?"

''Me." she answered

''That's because he's your brother and you'd prefer to sit with Jason huh." I said which made her blush but if she goes anywhere near him,I'll eat her head.she threatened.

"Calm down cave woman she knows her limit." I told her

" Better."

In class,liz was already sitting down and writing something In her book so she did not see us enter

If she says or does anything stupid,I'm changing my seat.Anna said and this time I agreed.

''Oh Victoria,you guys are here. I'm really sorry about lunch, I just wanted to make a good impression." She apologized.I raised my eyebrows at Anna as if to tell her"see she's nice" but Anna just shrugged

''It's okay liz just tone it down next time."

"Sure."

The next two lunches we had,Daniel did not come and I think he's still recovering...just joking,he said he was planning an inter-school competition but even though he wasn't saying it I knew he was avoiding Liz.Tessa also skipped once and I couldn't help but wonder if they were together.Jason finally asked Anna out even if it was totally against Daniel's wish so they were the happiest when he didn't sit with us as they could be all mushy with each other.

Gideon on the other hand was just been a flirt as usual but nothing serious.

''What are we doing this weekend?'' Gideon asked as we ate today.

"Don't know,what do you want to do?'' Jason who had his arm around Anna's shoulder asked.

''Let's go to Isaac's party even though I don't like the boy but I can't spend my weekend sitting around." Gideon suggested but I knew I wasn't going as I was sure Daniel would be there and I did not want to see him and Tessa kiss again,I was still trying to get the image out of my head.

"You look like you are in a deep conversation with yourself." Jason said

"I'll pass,I need to do some things." I lied

"You sure." Anna asked

"Of course"

''How do I look?'' Anna asked as she dressed up

''Beautiful, I'm sure Jason would have a hard time keeping his hands to himself."

''Are you sure you would be okay by yourself?''

''Yes I've been by myself a number of times you know."

"I know but I don't want to leave you alone." She said with concern.

"Just go and make sure to have fun for the both of us."

"Trust me on that." She winked as I pushed her outside."Crazy girl."I thought as I smiled to myself

Now what to do....
