I remember what Evan said again. What I hated the most is being forced to do something against my will. His words... I don't like how he sounded at that time. I felt like he would do something... For what reason?
Was it because I rejected him?
There's a lot of girls ogling for him! A lot of women like him so he has a lot of options to date, right? Why would he stick to someone like me who shows no interest at all? I am not interested, that's I'm sure.
"He said something though..." I told them. I chewed the food slowly, then looked down at my shoes as if it was the most interesting view I have ever seen. "I'm not bothered or anything," I lied.
"What was it?"
I shook my head before looking at them, waiting for me to spill the tea. I smiled and stood up.
"Let's just go somewhere else. I heard my new stall near the mall, I just don't know what it is. Come, let's check it."
I walked near the trash bin and discarded the food container. I got back to the bench and grabbed my hand sanitizer inside my bag, then poured enough on my hand before rubbing it together, looking at my friends who fixed their hair.
"Is it coincidence or not?" I heard Miles.
"Prolly not... He's been following her since earlier."
My brows shot up when they looked in one direction. Slowly, I turned my head and found out what they were talking about.
Evan... He's not alone though. He's with a girl... She was clinging to his arm as if she would be lost once she let go of him. Unconsciously, my eyes went to study her from head to toe.
She isn't even that tall. Her eye makeup was heavy and dark... The shining red lipstick she wore stings my eyes. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it but at this kind of place? I shook my head mentally and just said nothing.
"Let's just go..." I averted my gaze and ran my hands to my shirt.
"Yup, we should go," said Miles while nodding her head repeatedly.
We started walking. I couldn't help but glance in their direction which was a bad move. The girl was staring at me with her blazing eyes as if I did something that angered her. I stopped on my track, confused at her reaction.
"Continue walking, Gia..." Kieth said firmly but I can't seem to move my feet.
"Why was she staring at me like that?" I asked them with a knotted forehead. "Psycho..." I whispered and was about to walk again when suddenly, she raised her hand and pointed her finger at me.
"You!" She walked fast near me with gritted teeth. "Why are you staring at my man?!" She was angry!
"What are you talking about?" I fired back.
Her man?! Was it Evan? Yup, it's him. I saw him walking in our direction, hands inside his pockets. Then, she stopped behind her tilted his head while eyes fixed on me.
Damn it... Why can't he just grab her girlfriend away and just let me be in peace?!
I looked at him lazily. "What do you need?" I glanced at the girl who's still fuming mad. I raised my hand in the air, held her finger, and slowly turned it down.
"Why are you looking at my boyfriend?!" She shouted angrily.
Seriously? Did Evan like this kind of woman? A nagging and jealous girl?
"Excuse me?" I did not remember looking at him earlier. If I ever did, it wasn't long. Maybe I caught a glimpse of him but can't this woman just let go and let us leave? I don't want trouble.
The woman blinked and folded her arms. I couldn't help but look at him. She's Evan Walker type? White, short, and... the jealous type of girl, yes?
"I saw the way you seduced him through your stares! Don't flirt with him, girl! Can't you see? The girlfriend is here, hello?!" She tapped the back of her hand to her chin a lot of times, emphasizing her appearance. "I'm here, duh! We are together yet you can't take your eyes off of him!"
"Seriously, girl..." I uttered in disbelief. "I have no intention of seducing your boyfriend. He's yours for fuck's sake. I don't even know him." I rolled my eyes.
I looked at him feeling annoyed who was quietly watching me behind her. He needs to stop his girlfriend from making a scene but why was he just standing there, staring at me intently?
"Do not lie! I saw it with my own eyes. You were trying to-" I cut her off by raising my plan in front of her face.
"Please, shut up..." I tried to be calm. "I am six weeks pregnant and the father I am carrying is a vampire! So can you move away? You're blocking my way."
He stumbled upon what I said. I just finished reading the book I borrowed from my former classmate. It was a vampire's romance and I got hooked with the way the writer delivered the male lead character which happened to be a vampire.
I'm still in love with the vampire until now.
"If something goes wrong with her pregnancy, you are responsible..." It was Kieth who talked.
The woman backed away slightly.
"Get out of my sight..." I looked at her seriously, trying my best to look mad. "I will remember your face, jealous woman. My baby will come back for you soon, so run and hide." With that, I left.
