Chapter 2 Zoo

Lexi's Point of View

I felt little hands smack my face as I lifted my head from Lily's lap. She signed that she has to go the bathroom. I cleared my throat as Jace, the asshole drove. He kept his eyes on the road as he asked me, "Did you say something?" I sighed, "Lily needs to use the bathroom." He groaned as he pulled off the highway, "Of course."

He pulled to a little diner as I walked Lily to the bathroom. Leo asked me before I took her, "You guys hungry. We have like another three hours to go." I nodded as I smirked, "Yeah. Grab some grill cheeses." He nodded as I walked off to the rest rooms.

I let Lily into the bathroom when I waited in the hallway. Jace walked down as he smirked, "She didn't fall in did she." I shook my head, "You would like that, wouldn't you. Then you won't have worry about her getting pieces of your business." He tensed up as he faced me when he growled, "So, that is your plan. You just like the rest of them."

I tilted my head as I rolled my eyes, "You really have no clue why I agreed to this stupid trip." It wasn't about getting anything except for my mother's necklace that was found in the plane crash. I swear my mother knew what was going to happened.

According to Leo depending on the events of our lives that the will was to be adjusted. I just couldn't understand what my mother was thinking marrying Kevin Davis. They just met then they was married.

Thankfully, I had months of vacation and sick time stored away at work. Doctors at a hospital didn't normally took six months off all at once from the job but the hospital made exception since my mother died. They gave me the time I needed.

He bowed his head as his hand went to my hips. My hands went to his rock – hard chest. Why does he have to be a god? He lifted his head up to met my eyes as I looked into his dark brown eyes as he smirked. I tilted my head to him as I pushed his chest, "Jace?"

His lips dipped down as his teeth went to my shoulder. I gasped at the contact as it turned me on. My own body already betraying me. I knew this would happened. I told Kim, my best friend that I would want to sleep with him, if he wasn't up tight asshole.

He lifted his head as his lips ghosted my neck. I breathed heavily as he got to my ear when his warm breath hit my skin, "Checkmate, your move."

My eyes widened as he let me go then walked to the bathroom. What the fuck? How does he know about this game? I never thought of having it as a teasing game like he just did. It was just way that my mother and I motivated each other to achieve our dreams after my father left us.

The bathroom door opened as Lily exited it. I walked her to the car as Jace came out of the diner, "Leo, why don't you sit in the back with Lily." Leo shrugged his shoulders as I finish placing Lily into her booster seat, "Works for me."

I rolled my eyes as I got into the SUV. I stripped off my tee shirt as I had a tank top underneath. Jace's eyes darted over to me as he started the car, "If you need the a/c on, I can turn it on for you." I shook my head as I laid my head back with my tee shirt behind my head, "No, I am good."

No, not really. It is freaken hot at the end of June. I am just stubborn to let him know that. We are going to be in Maine until new year. This stupid agreement. I decided to only bring summer clothes then pick-up winter gear when it started to get cold. That why, I don't have all this crap I need to help me take care of Lily. Leo handed out lunches for everyone as he signed with Lily. I smirked as I laid my head back and took a bite of my grill cheese. Leo was a sweet man. Leo and I got along just great at the funeral. He was caring and concern about Lily and I. Unlike his brother Jace. I am shocked that they was brothers. I was completely shocked.

We drove by the zoo as I perked my head up. Jace tilted his head, "You never been?" I shook my head as he smirked, "No. Have you?" He nodded as he turned his directional on, "Maybe Leo and I need a trip down memory lane." I looked back at Leo as he smirked signed to Lily telling her that we are going to the zoo. We got out of the car as I stretched out my legs. I noticed that Jace was staring at me as my tank top lifted over my small stomach. I tilted my head, "What?" He shook his head when Lily grabbed his hand. His muscles tensed up then relaxed as we walked to the entrance of the Zoo.

I leaned over the railing to look down into the tiger exhibit as Leo took Lily to check out the elephants. I tilted my head to Jace as he focused on the tiger. I turned my back towards the tigers as I crossed my arms, "You know that I am not happy with all this." He tilted his head to me, "I can't tell. You seemed so happy when you was told you was on a free vacation."

I rolled my eyes, "What made you so bitter?" He chuckled as my fingers slid against his, "I am not bitter. I am cautious with people that marries someone they just met." I nodded as my fingers traveled up his arm as I noticed his breathing started to get heavy.

Got him.

My breast brushed up against his chest when my fingers reached his neck. His arm moved around my waist as he reached for the railing. My eyes traveled to his eyes as his muscles tensed up from my touch. I leaned up on my toes where he so freakishly tall as my lips touched his neck softly.

I tilted my head towards his ear as my lips was inches from his ear when I gave a slight blow then whispered, "Checkmate, Your move." He chuckled as he looked down at me as he dipped his head closer to my lips, "Baby girl, you got to do more than that to make me beg."

I shrugged my shoulders, "What said I wanted you, too?" He stared into my eyes as he pulled back, "The thing is, you will be on your knees begging me before I break."

I tilted my head to him, "And what exactly am I going to be begging for?" He moved his body so I am trapped between the tigers that sat behind the glass that could rip me to thousand pieces and the man that looks like he about to rip me into thousands of pieces.

Fuck.

Why did I have to take the challenge?

I bowed my head. His finger went to my chin when he pulled hard forcing my chin up to meet his eyes, "You know what you are begging for." My eyes darted around avoiding his glare, "Are you sure about that?" He chuckled as his lips went to my ear, "Care for me to find out how wet you are right now?"

I shook my head as I breathed heavily, "No." He chuckled as he lifted then walked away, "Checkmate, Sweetheart. Your turn."

What just happened?

Why am I playing this game with him? Fucking asshole.

I swear.

I am going to have him begging then leave him with blue balls.
