Chapter 5 Beast at Night

I drove really fast, as it was already 9, meaning the party has already started.

Finally reaching Ava's place, I quickly got off the car with the cake. I could hear loud music and voices of people talking.

I directly went to the kitchen first to put down the cake and asked the helper about Ava's whereabouts, then went out to look for Ava in the lawn. I met familiar faces along the way, mostly of them were our friends from the university and trainers from the same hospitals as us, both in fields of nursing and doctoral.

Finally I found Ava under a tree, she was on a phone call I guess ... Ava I called out to her. She turned around really fast, here you are ... said Ava looking anxious. What's up? I asked.

I was trying to call you, where is your phone?

My phones battery was low so I put it on charge in your room ... why what happen?

Oh ... that's the reason you were not picking up, I thought something happened to you

That's better, did you get the cake?

I did ... though it's not the same cake which you ordered, laughed Sara.

Not the same cake, what do you mean? Ava had a confused look on her face

Well the cake you ordered had an early death when I went to pick it up, to put in more simple it fell down and was all ruined but fortunately a really kind person (hot also I added in my mind) gave his cake to replace the murderer cake instead.

Anyways I will tell you the details later ok.

Okay story time later for now I glad that we actually do have a cake to cut, the rest doesn't matter. Thank you sweetie for all this... ava said while hugging me tightly.

Let's go ... Sid & his friends are already here, last time you were not able to meet him due to your workshop which lasted for 1 months in that old village type of place, thank god it finished before my birthday party, and I got this awesome opportunity to show-off my boyfriend to you, let me tell you he is really good-looking.

We directly headed towards the lawn, where everyone was gathered.

Here comes the birthday girl and beauty, I heard Mango teasing. Mango is also a trainer at the Coco-lo Hospital like us, she is a nursing student. She is both Ava and my friend.

Thank god Sid you are here, look at this people teasing me, saying I look like a beast ... complained Ava in a sweet manner, hugging him back.

No one noticed Mango going over to a good looking guy who just entered the lawn

Seeing the way they interact, I felt happy for Ava. Finally she also found someone to be happy with like how I have Ethan in my life I thought.

Hello, finally I have the honour to meet you Miss Sara, Sid said with a big smile on face while offering his hand.

I don't know why, I felt that the big smile on his face was because of something else, like he was teasing me for something. It also somehow made me feel like I did something wrong.
