Chapter 2 2. Would you like to stay with me

Stacey's p.o.v

For a week I couldn't focus at work, every day I went to check on the man in the clinic.

I sat in the doctor's office calmly as I listened to her words.

"So you want to discharge him, why can't we wait for a while, his family might show up?" I said pleadingly.

I had no were to take him, my house was definitely out of question.

"Miss Mier this is a clinic, everyone who gets better is always discharged, I'm not suppose to say this but, how about you take him with you, you are the only one his warmed up to this past week" she answered softly.

Was the doctor for real, I wasn't the man's family!.

"And I advise you to take him to a mental institution where he belongs, " she said.

I angrily stood up feeling somehow confused.

Was she even a professional doctor? How could she say such crap, yes the man was a total weirdo, not only did he talk to air and at times a pillow, he laughed and clapped for nothing, so the man might have been crazy, and he scared me somehow, he was tall and huge in a good way, his beard and scruffy hair contributed to my fear, he looked like a rugged criminal!.

"Can you at least give me a few more days?" I asked Softly.

"No, he leaves with you today" she answered strongly.

"Are you really a doctor?" I asked loudly.

"Lady, I am, do you want some evidence?" She asked in a warning tone.

"Evidence. Who says that, are you like some wanna be cop turned into a doctor?" I asked mockingly.

She stood up angrily and pointed at her door.

"Get the hell out of my office miss, now, " she said seriously.

I glared at her angrily then walked out, she was so damn unprofessional and immature, were doctors nowadays this stupid and rude, everyone was now acting like they owned the whole world, it was becoming so stressful to be around them.

I walked into the male ward slowly, the man was sitting on his bed and talking to the pillow that was against the wall.

I stood for a few minutes watching the weird man talk like a baby, it was getting a little creepy to watch. I cleared my throat to get his attention, but he wouldn't turn or look at me.

"Sir" I called.

He continued to talk and laugh with the pillow-like I was invisible, I took in a deep breath then released it.

"Hey!" I called loudly.

He turned and looked at me then pointed at the pillow.

"Can't you see that I'm talking to my mother?" he asked seriously then laughed.

A cold shiver spread throughout my body the second he got serious, something about his voice got my attention, not that his voice was bad, no it wasn't, it was actually deep and husky, if it was on the radio I would have fallen for his voice without a second thought.

"Damn Stacey, keep it together" I whispered to myself.

"Um... Sir, how are you, what's your name, do you know where I can find your family?" I asked seriously.

The man looked at me from head to toe quietly, I shifted a bit in fear, he stilled scared me.

"Can't you see I'm talking to my father here, dad tell her, why is she bothering me, I don't like her" he whispered as I bite on my nail to calm myself down.

He just said he didn't like me!, What the hell, it was dito to him too, I didn't like him at all.

"Hey, I'm asking you about your family, where are they? You mother, perhaps your father?" I asked loudly.

He tensed for a minute them stood up with tears in his eyes.

"Family" he whispered.

"Yes, your family, who can I talk to?, Do you remember anyone's phone number, Do you have your fathers line?" I asked as he angrily pointed at me.

"Shut up!" He screamed instantly startling me.

I watched in fear and shock as he cried and laughed at the same time.

"Sir, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to anger you" I whispered while breathing heavily in fear.

He laughed loudly then moved to the bed and slowly sat down, he picked up the pillow and embraced it while crying.

"Father didn't I tell you?, I will never leave you" he whispered as my tears threaten to fall.

Seeing the man crying made my heart ache in pain, he looked sad, lonely, and vulnerable, I knew trusting a stranger would bring a lot of regrets in my life, but for once in my life, I wanted to trust my heart and believe that the man was hurt somehow, although he was acting crazy, he looked hurt emotionally.

"Hey" ti whispered then moved closer to him slowly.

"I'm sure you will never leave him, and he knows that too, so why don't you stop crying, if you continue to cry, he will become so sad too, he might even leave you alone" I whispered.

"Lair!, you want to take him away from me like that lady wanted to, I won't let you, he is my father and he doesn't like to be touched by girls!" He yelled while squeezing the pillow tight.

"I won't take him away from you, I promise, hey look at me, please, " I said as he did.

"How about you come with me, where I live its a beautiful palace, there you will be a prince, how about it?" I asked softly.

"And father, Will he come with me?" He asked.

"Yes he will, and you should know my name, I am Stacey, what is your name?" I asked.

He laughed loudly and clapped.

"Name, name, name" he sang over and over.

"Hey, how about prince, prince will be your name because Where we are going there is a big palace waiting for you" I lied with a smile.

"Prince! Prince! Stacey, Stacey" he said happily then stood up and jumped up and down.

I moved backwards and watched in shock.

He was like a mad little boy, how was I to live with such a man, I was mostly busy with work, as it was I already had pressure because I had to look through the manuscript of the finale section of the documents, also next month was the launching of Becky's clothing line and I had to go through a lot of portfolios for the theme and next topic of the fashion section for her, if I had known about the trouble I was about to go through, that night I wouldn't have picked up Becky's call.
