Chapter 4 Chess piece

Marco's POV

I looked up and saw her, my mind was full of my angel's face, and I felt like she was standing in front of me. I immediately dragged her to my room, in my jet, and fucked her, thinking that it was my angel, and I kept on saying "my angel" while making out with her.

And that girl also didn't oppose it, if she had done that, I might have come back to my senses, but once I was done, venting out on her, I saw her face, I was shocked, I shouted angrily "get out."

She got up slowly, put on her clothes, and walked out, I never liked it making out with my employees, and I was pissed at this moment.

I called the jet manager, and said, "Fire that assistant, giving her three years advance salary, I don't want to see her in my company, once we touch the land."

At first, the manager was standing frowning, trying to understand the situation, but after seeing my room's condition, he realized something and nodded before leaving.

I wouldn't say I like it, how can I lose my control over me, it never happened before; my angel was making me crazy.

After we arrived, I directly went to my office to address the issue.

In some days, everything settled, I gave my angels photo to Andrew and asked him to get it framed.

Soon Andrew brought the frame with my angel's photo; I kept it on my working table, I had already ordered him to investigate her name and background.

But he didn't have any luck, all the bookings in the hotel were by her brother's name, and apart from that nothing came out.

I like seeing her smiling face, every morning when I come to the office I always wish her saying, "Good morning my angel".

Three years later

Author's POV

Jane was sitting in her bedroom, holding her mother's photo frame tightly, and her tears kept rolling down, she remembers every word her mother said before her death.

She still can't believe it, that her father could do such things with his own wife.

When Jane's mother married her father, he already had a daughter of three years; Her father, Anthony Gilbert, never treated his family like family.

He just treated everyone as a chess piece to grow his business.

Jane doesn't know what she needs to do after her Mum's death; she felt it was only darkness around her without her Mum.

Her room's door opened, and her elder sister came in and sat beside her; they were stepsisters and didn't have a good relationship, but today's expressions on Amelia's face were different.

She hugged crying Jane and let her cry in her arms for some time.

When Amelia saw that Jane did not stop crying, she said, "Are you planning to attend my engagement banquet with your puffy eyes?"

Jane never understood Amelia's behavior towards her, she was always cold to her, but there were many times, she protected her, Jane doesn't know it was intentionally or coincidently.

Hearing what Amelia said, Jane wiped her tears and tried to calm herself down.

She sat straight and looked in Amelia's eyes blankly, Amelia looked at her, and said, "are you done with your packing, we are flying to Chicago tonight."

Today was her mother's funeral, but her Dad had arranged Amelia's engagement very next day with some billionaire from Chicago, Jane had no mood to attend this banquet, but her Dad threatened her, that if she, as the younger daughter of Gilberts don't attend this banquet, he will not let her see her mother's grave.

Amelia packed Jane's luggage; Jane was sitting on her bed, motionlessly. Her mother's words were still lingering in her head when she was in Goa three years back for vacation.

On one of her calls, she said, "June, baby you have to be strong, Mum cannot be with you forever" at that time June scolded her for saying these words and started crying. Her Mum coaxed her with sweet words.

Jane never thought that her Mum would actually leave her all alone in this cruel world.
