Chapter 7 How Long Will You Hide

"Mommy?" Marvin turned his head to look at the frightened woman, his black round eyes filled with confusion.

Celia withdrew her gaze from the man and looked at Marvin. She nervously grabbed him with both hands and looked around his body. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"Mommy, I'm fine..."

As soon as Marvin finished speaking, Celia suddenly stood up and stared at the man not far away. "You snatched the child under the broad daylight?"

Staring at her with his sharp eyes, Richard said, "Miss Celia, please watch your language."

Celia had already lost her mind. Regardless of fear, she retorted angrily, "What do you mean by 'watch my language'? What's wrong with my wording? He is my son. Why do you take him away by force?"

No one could take Marvin away. This was her son!

Before Richard opened his mouth, Celia warned, "You'd better stay away from my son. Otherwise, I have to call the police!"

Richard looked at her. This woman was different from her when she was nineteen years old...

"Call the police?"

"Marvin, have I ever told you not to communicate with strangers? What happened today?" Celia looked down at Marvin with a serious face.

When she came over just now, she found that they had a very friendly time!

She knew that Marvin didn't talk much with a strange man, but today he was so close to the man in front of him.

"I'm sorry, mommy. I won't do that again. Don't be angry, okay?" Then Marvin held Celia's leg and pouted.

She raised her hand and rubbed Marvin's short hair, and said in a softer tone, "I'm not angry."

Richard walked up to the two of them and asked, "Who is your son's father?"

Celia's heart thumped violently as she clenched her fists.

"Ha... Does it have anything to do with you who is my son's father? You are so strange! It's ridiculous."

Celia held back the panic in her heart. Was it this man who had sex with her that year?

He wanted to take away Marvin?

No way!

"Ridiculous?" Richard repeated her words, "Do you want me to expose what you have done in the past here, Miss Celia?"

Hearing this, Celia's face instantly turned pale. She grasped Marvin tighter, pretended to be calm and looked at him, saying word by word, "Are you insane?"

The second time, this woman insulted him for the second time!

"Keep hiding. Let's see how long you can hide."

After saying that, Richard turned around and left angrily.

The woman's reaction told him that the identity of Marvin was not simple.

After Richard left, the police arrived. In order to avoid some unnecessary trouble, Celia told the police that the matter had been solved.

Celia's nervous heart did not relax much. She looked down at Marvin and said, "You are not allowed to have any contact with him in the future!"

Marvin looked at her and nodded heavily.

"Good boy..." Celia squatted down and kissed his fair face. Then she stood up and took his hand to walk forward.

Along the way, Celia was thinking about the man just now. What if they were really father and son? The sudden fear made her restless.

"Mommy, what are you thinking about?"

Suddenly, Marvin held Celia's face with his little hand.

When Celia came to her senses, she raised her hand and pinched his handsome face. "Nothing. Mommy is just worried about you..."

"Is it because of the fake daddy?"

"He is not your daddy. Don't call him like that anymore, okay?" Even a child could see it, let alone him.

"Okay."

Marvin was very sensible. For so long, he had never asked anything about his father, because he knew that asking this would make Celia sad.

"What did he say to you?"

Marvin opened her big black eyes and looked at Celia sincerely.

Then Celia didn't asked him anymore. The driver drove the car to the door of the apartment and the two got off.

On this day, the face of the man who appeared today kept flashing through Celia's mind! She couldn't fall asleep all night. She got out of bed and took her laptop.

She searched for the E Family.

She had known about Richard.

He was the overlord of J City. He possessed endless wealth and power! He was a man of action, the CEO of the YY Group and the commercial leader of Asia.

Seeing this, Celia was on the verge of breaking down.

If he was really the man four years ago and he insisted on taking Marvin away, how could she fight against him?

Why did she meet such a person?

Celia turned off the computer and collapsed on the bed. It was dark outside the window.

Tossing and turning, she got up on the second day with two dark circles under her eyes.

She went to the bedroom to see if Marvin had got up. When she saw the bed was neat, she closed the door.

"Mommy, you got up late today."

The voice sounded behind Celia. When she turned around, she saw a glass of milk in Marvin's hand and walking towards her.

Celia squatted down and took the milk from his hand. "I'm sorry. Mommy got up late and made you prepare breakfast by yourself."

"It doesn't matter. I have grown up. I should take care of mommy!" Then Marvin gave a comforting smile and said, "Mommy, hurry up. I'm going to be late."

All of a sudden, Celia came to her senses. She raised her head and drank up the milk in one gulp. She put the cup on the table and took Marvin to leave.

When the car passed the YY Group on the way to the kindergarten, Celia tightened her grip on the steering wheel.

A car suddenly overtook her and turned a corner. Startled, Celia quickly stepped on the brake, but she still crashed into it.
