Chapter 27 The strange man

Kim stopped him from going out as his final meeting with the investors has been rearranged at 6 pm. He couldn't control his outburst and he began to walk through the room restlessly.

Kim approached him and motioned him to sit on the chair. He ignored her even though he got seated on the chair. suddenly he felt the warm fingers massaging his templates and it was a great relief to him. He thoroughly enjoyed her massage and thanked her before getting ready for the meeting.

Kim was delighted and she kissed her fingers as if she was kissing Gang. She was so happy that she has forgotten to accompany her boss to the conference hall and when she has regained her consciousness the conference was about to finish.

Jia has no interest to attend the party and she chose a light peach colour gown that reached till her knees. she wore light make up to hide the paleness of her face.

She reached the old mansion before time and she found granny's friends and relatives gathered in the main hall for the function.

The old mansion was the ancestral house of Gang and his granny and Gang would visit the mansion occasionally. They have employed some servants there to keep it clean since the interior of the mansion was decorated with expensive imported handicrafts from different countries. They were very expensive and Gang had already tightened the security measures around the mansion.

Jia was appalled to see the decorations. It was a thanksgiving a party and from the arrangements, she was damn sure that Granny has perfectly planned the event.

" it seems like granny has planned it before weeks and she didn't tell me anything about it! I know I don't have any commitments nowadays but it doesn't mean that she can invite me to such functions in short notice. She knew that her grandson doesn't like me to attend such events and now he is gonna torture me whole the night. Why did granny always invite me before the commencement of such functions? Oh, God!! Please Save me!"

" Excuse me, Miss! Madam is looking for you. She wanted you to meet the CEO of Zimoga enterprises. Please follow me!"

Jia came to her senses when Granny's bodyguard asked her to follow him. She followed the man and he brought her before a well-built man who has a perfect athletic body with strong muscles. But she finds the man to be creepy hence instead of praising the features of that man she tried to run away from there. But she was stopped by her granny who was chatting with this man.

" OH, MY dear! Where are you going? I wanted you to meet our business partner, Mr Jerald! Jerald, this is my granddaughter in law!"

The man turned to shake his hands with her and Jia was startled to see such gestures from a strange man! He used this opportunity to place a kiss on her hand. He watched her amusingly and licked his lips as if he was waiting for years to quench his thirst.

" HI! I am Jerald from Zimago Enterprises! It's my pleasure to see you, Mrs Gang!"

" THANK YOU!!"

Jia quickly withdrew her hand from him and she knitted her eyebrows at him. She didn't like his attitude and something about this man was making her insane!!!

Granny knew that Jia is uncomfortable so she smiled at Jia and she patted her shoulder as if she is trying to pacify her. Jia smiled at her granny.

" Jia! Why don't you hang out with Jerald! My friends are waiting for me to distribute the gifts for them. You can also join me once you helped Mr Jerald to cop with the surroundings. He has accepted my invitation exclusively to see the limited and rare collections of handicrafts from many parts of the world. He is doing some kind of research in the handicraft. I think you are the better option since no one has enough knowledge in this matter. Am I right?!"

" Yes! Granny! But Gang has not arrived yet and I need to ask him something! "

" Oh come on Jia! It's just a call and you can make it afterwards! I have already contacted him and he is busy right now! So you just listen to me and entertain the guest!"

" Okay, granny!"

Granny hugged Jia and whispered to her!

" Don't worry! I will tell him! You don't have to worry about his anger! I can manage him very well. Enjoy this moment!"

Jia listened to her granny and she smiled awkwardly at Jerald who was watching her curiously!

" Well! What do you want to know about these sculptures! I have little knowledge of them!"

" Hmm! Did you miss your father?"

" Sorry?"

" Don't be! I know everything about you and your toxic relationship with your husband. I think I can help you!"

" Why do you want to help me?"

" I have some unfinished business with your Dad and I need your help! I can settle things between you and your husband!"

" Are you kidding me? Why would I help you? I will never betray my husband and don't even think about that! There will be a million problems between us but I will not let outsiders settle things between us!"

" Okay!!! But I thought you loved your father more than your husband! It's not easy for everyone to sign the contract marriage with a man who is in love with another woman! You have sacrificed your life for him!"

" Who told you this and why do you care?"

" Your father requested me to bring his daughter to him! He wanted to say something to you and it's very urgent. It's very confidential and he didn't want to share it with others. So please come with me!"

" But! How did you know my dad and why are you helping us?"

" your father helped me during the tough times and its because of him I had become the CEO of Simogo enterprises! I didn't know that he was in trouble. I couldn't help him when you people were bankrupted and he took the big decision to offer your hands to Gang for his company! He didn't know that Gang is gonna torture you like this! He didn't know that secret of Cheng's family too! But now he came to know the reason behind this marriage and your husband's indifferent attitude towards you. He just wanted to explain everything to you!"

" Cheng family's secret! What do you mean? I know the reason of my husband's anger and I am sorry! I don't think that I can meet him!"

" you can meet your father! I will bring you to the hospital and no one will know about it."

" BUT!!! Gang will come to know about it and I don't want to irritate him! Please inform my father that I am not in a state to meet him."

" BUT! He wants to share his last words with you!"

" I know! But I am helpless! Please, tell him to send a message with you!"

" Come with me! I will bring you to him and you people can spend some time together! It's your father's last wish! He is waiting for you and I have promised him that I will take you to him! If anything happens to him you can't forgive yourself for not fulfilling his last wish!"

" Oh, God! What should I do now! Don't do this to me, Jerald!" " Come with me!"

" NO! what will I tell to granny? Gang could be here at any moment and I don't want to take any risk!"

" I will handle it! Just stay with me!"

He pulled her hand and they were about to exit the house through the back door but someone was standing at the backdoor and she was startled to see him. Blood drained out of her face turning it into pale. His eyes were burning with anger and his fierce eyes were fixed on her hand that was caught by Jerald. She released his hands off her at once without looking at him.
