Chapter 6 Keep Her For Now

The elevator the three of them took stopped at floor 21. As soon as the door opened, a person came up, as if she had expected them to arrive, and waited here specially.

"Hello, Miss. Patty. I'm Mamie Zhang, the Executive Secretary General of the OLY Group. Welcome you to headquarter in China." Mamie stepped forward and immediately recognized Patty. She bowed respectfully to Patty.

Patty took off her sunglasses and looked at Mamie up and down. Mamie was wearing a black Jumpsuit with cropped pants and a pure white suit coat, which made her look very tall. She was wearing a pair of black pointed high-heeled shoes, standing with her feet together. Her short hair was neatly tied behind her ears, and with a light make-up on her face, she looked capable and steady. In fact, Patty deliberately came back half a day earlier than usual, but she didn't expect that the Secretary General would be here on time to welcome her. With a slight smile at the corners of her mouth, Patty said in a gentle tone, "I have a document here. Please have a copy. Each department director of all the brand lines has a copy. Thank you." Then Patty took the document from Lucy's hand and handed it to Mamie. "Then you ask someone to sort out the orders and cooperation plans made in the past few years and send them to my office."

Mamie took the document and led Patty and others into the CEO's office. As soon as the door was closed, Mamie took action. Patty had just taken office. No one could figure out what this new president was thinking, and they just needed to do the best.

The CEO's office was large. There were sofa and tea table on the right side of the door. There was a huge desk in front of them. On both sides of the desk, there was a simple landing bookshelf, on which there were some business books and magazines, and some company information. The whole office was in a simple and modern style, with some abstract decorations hanging on the wall. All the items were well arranged. It was obvious that they were left behind by the former CEO. There was a door on the left side of the desk, and the opposite side should be the lounge. Patty didn't push the door open to check. After entering the room, she looked around and walked to the French window behind the desk. With her back to Randy and Lucy, she didn't speak. Not long after Patty entered the office, Mamie brought two workers with cases. Obviously, she had been well prepared for Patty's arrival.

Two women, dressed simply and pretty, followed Mamie. They entered the office with Mamie, one on the left and one on the right.

"Miss. Patty, these are the orders and contracts of some companies that the OLY Group has received in China in the past few years."

Mamie put a stack of documents on the desk, asked the person next to her to put down three cups of coffee, and asked another person to take a document and put it on the side of the material just now.

After putting the things away, Mamie said, "This is the list of the company's personnel that the president ordered to prepare before you came. These two are Janice Yan and Adah Sun in the Secretary's office. If you have any problem, you can call us at any time." Mamie was experienced and steady, and always did things well. In just a few minutes, Randy admired her. But since there are capable people in China, why would they lose?

Obviously, Patty also noticed this. She walked from the window to the desk and leafed through the documents on it. Obviously, it was not easy to get so many documents for a moment. Before Patty came, the secretary general should have expected that she would check these files and asked someone to prepare them in advance.

Patty smiled at the crowd formulaically. She was very satisfied with Mamie's performance. She needed such a smart person like this to stand firm in the market. "Thank you. These documents are very helpful to me. If I need anything, I'll call you again. You can go back to work. Besides, inform all department directors to hold a meeting on time at 4 o'clock in the company's meeting room."

"Okay." Mamie nodded respectfully and was about to leave the office.

Obviously, the other two women were not as experienced and steady as Mamie. They were stunned by a woman like Patty. Mamie glanced at the two absent-minded secretaries and nudged the two secretaries with displeasure. It was not until then that the two of them came to their senses. They answered and left the office with Mamie.

As soon as the three of them left, Randy burst into laughter in the office. He really didn't expect that Patty was so charming that the two girls were stunned.

"Patty, you're awesome. You can be a take-all now." Randy laughed so hard that he couldn't stand straight.

With a cold glance at Patty, Patty changed her usual smile and threw the list that Mamie had just brought to her on the table, "Investigate these people." Randy didn't dare to say anything more. He coughed awkwardly and took a sip of the coffee brought in by Mamie. Then he looked at Patty's Cup thoughtfully and said, "It seems that this woman is not simple. I can't believe that she can find out that you only drink black coffee."

Lucy, who was standing next to them, also looked at the cup curiously. She picked up her own cup and took a sip, adding sugar and milk.

"Has she asked? It shouldn't be a big deal." Lucy didn't think so.

Randy sneered, "Then why does she know that I like to drink the Yirgacheffe Coffee with half a spoon of milk?" Among the friends, he was the one who was the most picky. He also drank other kinds of coffee, but he only liked the Yirgacheffe Coffee with milk. This cup of coffee was just baked at the right time. Whether it was water or milk, it was his favorite. In fact, it was good, but Randy had to consider whether Patty should keep such a woman? Sometimes, being too smart was not a good thing.

"Keep her for now." How could Patty not know Randy's scruple? But she thought, 'Now it is the time to need capable people. This woman just wants to please me. Why don't I keep? Anyway, if she does something that she shouldn't do in the future, I will be rude to her.'

Lucy was completely confused by the conversation between the two. When Randy saw that Lucy was staring blankly at the two, he felt both funny and angry. He really didn't know why he had chosen this innocent girl to be Patty's assistant. Although Lucy was diligent and rarely made mistakes, she was like a piece of white paper for their world. He remembered that Patty always said that he was innocent, but in fact, Lucy was the most innocent one.

"Why don't you go?" Seeing that Randy hadn't taken action yet, Patty was a little unhappy and scolded him. Although she had known the general situation here before she came here, it was far away from here. She couldn't find some documents when she was in Britain. She came back half a day earlier than the agreed time in order to see these documents as soon as possible.

Randy had no choice but to leave the office with the list.
