Galen felt a little embarrassed and said, "I also wanted to help you, but my friend always said that my Cantonese has a unique accent. I'm afraid that it will not be standard."
"It doesn't matter," said Melody, waving her hand casually. "It's not an English test of level 46, so you don't have to be so strict. Besides, you are the hero and I am the heroine. When you teach me Cantonese, you can take it as the dialogue between us. Isn't it killing two birds with one stone?"
"That's a good idea," said Galen. "Well, if you don't mind, I'll be your teacher in Cantonese."
That night, Galen went to the YN entertainment company because of work. When he got out of the car, he happened to meet Ryan who went home from work and walked out of the building.
"Ryan." Galen greeted him and walked up to him.
When Ryan saw that it was Galen, he immediately thought of the audition of Melody and asked, "Is the leading actress of 'On the Morning Star' confirmed today?"
"Of course, the leading actress must be Melody," said Galen, who seemed to have expected it. "It's just that Director York made a small request. He asked the heroine to speak in Cantonese."
'Cantonese?' Hearing this, Ryan frown, "I haven't heard that the heroine need to speak Cantonese."
"It's probably set after director York read the script." Galen replied.
"I don't think Melody can speak Cantonese..."
Galen cut in, "Don't worry. I've promised that I'll teach her Cantonese. After all, I'm from Hong Kong."
After returning home, Ryan went straight to Melody's bedroom and knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Melody put down the half eaten apple and pricked up her ears.
"It's me..." There seemed to be a hint of displeasure in Ryan's cold voice.
When Melody opened the door and saw the icy face of Ryan, she shivered and asked, "Are you okay? Why do you look so bad?"
"I heard in the company that you got the role of the leading actress. And you also learned from Galen and asked him to teach you Cantonese?" Ryan came straight to the point.
"Yes," nodded Melody, "is there any problem?"
"Why didn't you discuss with me about letting Galen teach you Cantonese?" Ryan asked word by word.
Melody felt that Ryan was unreasonable and said helplessly, "Why should I discuss this with you? Then do I have to report to you what I did eat with him?"
"Are you still having dinner alone?" Ryan caught the key words.
"I invited him to eat hot pot in a private room." Melody explained in detail.
Ryan's face darkened. He lowered his voice and said, "The fifteenth term of the marriage agreement says that you are not allowed to have too much private contact with any other man except me. You have violated this rule seriously now."
"Come on! Galen is just my friend. Aren't you two on good terms in private?" Melody frowned.
Ryan ordered, "I've helped you refuse Galen. From tomorrow on, I'll teach you Cantonese at home."
"Why do you have to make the decision by yourself? He is my friend. We have cooperated many times. Why don't you let him teach me Cantonese?"
"Have you forgotten your identity? You are different from before. Now you are my wife."
Melody asked, "So what? Galen and I are just colleagues."
"Aren't you afraid that the media will exaggerate your relationship? Maybe your dinner today will hit the headlines tomorrow! You are different from before. You have to keep a certain distance from men in private. Be careful not to be exposed by the reporters!"
Melody was speechless. She admitted that she didn't expect this, but she didn't want to be taught Cantonese by Ryan with strange temper at home every day. So she said, "I see. I don't want you to stay at home and teach me Cantonese every day. I'll find a professional Cantonese teacher tomorrow. Is that okay?"
"You're smart." After finishing, Ryan walked out of Melody's bedroom and closed the door.
After a week of devil training, Melody could speak broken Cantonese. One day, she got the staff list and script of 'On the Morning Star'. The scriptwriter and investor were all written with the name of Ryan.
"What's going on? Are you a scriptwriter?"
Ryan said casually, "You don't have to make a fuss about it, do you?"
"I just didn't expect you to be a scriptwriter." Melody told the truth.
Ryan chuckled, "There are still many things you don't know. Don't question me here if you have time. Go and read the script. Time is running out, isn't it?"
"It's you. Why don't you tell me this story?" a thought occurred to Melody. "I'm still wondering if you have the ability to make up stories."
"Are you sure you want to listen to it?" Melody nodded. Then Ryan said, "The story happened three years ago..."
With his hand under her chin, Melody listened quietly.
"That year, the boy met the destined girl. He was attracted by her unique temperament and was deeply infatuated with the dimples when she smiled. With a lucky coincidence, he ate up all the food she cooked, which everyone thought tasted terrible. And from that day on, he felt that his heart had been filled with this girl. From then on, he deeply fell in love with simple and cute her."
"Why did the boy eat up such terrible food?" Melody expressed her confusion.
"Because... It's rare for me to be so profound. Can you stop interrupting me first?"
Melody nodded and gestured for Ryan to go on.
"The boy had a crush on the girl for three years. During these three years, he didn't express his love to her, but silently guarded her by her side, not allowing her to be hurt at all. The girl didn't know all this. Time passed quickly. Three years had passed. He still treated her as the apple of his eye, but the girl suddenly found a boyfriend and went out with her boyfriend every day. The boy was heartbroken, but he couldn't bear the secret love in his heart. What he couldn't accept was that the girl excluded him and even deliberately kept a certain distance from him. "
"A cruel story..." Melody exclaimed. Then she stuck out her tongue and said, "Please go on."
Taking a sip of coffee, Ryan continued, "The boy's heart is as sharp as a knife. He saw her figure no longer belong to him alone, and she gradually faded away from his sight. In the end, he finally chose to give up and fulfill her wish. That night, the boy brought the girl to the highest rooftop in the city. He pointed out the brightest star and told her, "There is my longing for a person..." Then, Ryan looked at Melody and asked, "What do you think of this story?"
"Although the story is sad, it seems to be real. Now, I finally know the real meaning of the movie. I didn't expect you to have the potential to be a writer."
Ryan smile. The serious look on his face suddenly became warm. "What do you think the real meaning of this movie?"
"Maybe it's a kind of eternal, longing and sincere love. This should be what you want to express, maybe..." said Melody in a long voice.
Raising his eyebrows, Ryan gestured for her to go on.
"Maybe this is a real story. In your heart, you have always loved a girl. This is the story you wrote for her. Who is she? Your first love?"
Without looking back, Ryan stood up and said, "The story is just a story, not life."
After closing the door, Ryan locked himself in the bathroom, letting the cold water wet his shirt. A bitter smile appeared at the corners of his mouth. He said to himself, "Silly girl, don't you feel that the girl in the story is you? I don't want the ending of our story to appear ending in the story..."
