The door was only half closed, as if it was half closed by accident.
The living room was large, and the decoration style was simple and elegant. The color was light, and the bedroom was constantly filled with the ambiguous voices of a man and a woman, which shocked Ella's unconscious head.
She grabbed Charles's arm and pinched it hard with her nails. Charles couldn't help but snort.
The people inside didn't care about the noise outside, and their screams seemed to be more joyful and bigger.
"Carla, Carla..." It was Raymond's voice.
Ella trembled and couldn't move at all as if her feet were glued.
If she had known... If she had known that Raymond really came to find Carla, she would rather stay with the ruffian Charles than come all the way abroad to listen to a live love-making show.
Scarlett looked at Ella sympathetically. No matter how bad this woman was, Ella really loved her brother. Her love for him was really true.
Charles was the only one who didn't feel embarrassed at all. He stood beside Ella, patted her on the shoulder and said, "Let's go home. I'll take you home."
Ella looked up with tears on her eyelashes, looking pitiful.
She opened her lips and wanted to say that she was fine, but she found that her throat was dry and unable to speak.
Seeing the two of them leave, Scarlett had no intention of staying here any longer. She followed behind Charles and Ella.
On the way back home, Ella didn't say a word. Whether she could sleep or not, she closed her eyes.
After that, Abbot specially called Scarlett and apologized, saying that what she had done was all what Carla asked her to do. She thought that Carla and Raymond were a miserable couple so that she chose to help her.
Scarlett thought for a while and didn't blame anyone. On the contrary, she had an intersection with Abbot because of this matter.
That night, after Scarlett left, Ella seemed to have changed into another person. She held Charles's hand and asked, "Will you marry me?"
The smile on Charles's face almost couldn't hold back. He touched her forehead and asked exaggeratedly, "Are you sick?"
"You don't want to marry me? You want me to be responsible for you, don't you?" Ella said seriously. She was tired. She was only twenty-three years old and didn't want to give her whole life to a heartless man.
Some people married because of love, and some married only for marriage. She chose love at the beginning, but in the end, she was deeply hurt.
She thought that Raymond had a good intention in love, but she didn't expect that his heart was all on another woman. They had just divorced, and he couldn't wait to meet with Carla again.
They loved each other so much. Why should she hold the past tightly?
Charles narrowed his beautiful eyes, half squatted, and held Ella's hand and asked again, "Ella Sheng, I'm not a man who can't be joked. I'll take it seriously if you say that again."
"I want you to marry me and hold a formal wedding ceremony in a grand way."
Charles nodded solemnly, "Okay."
"Nothing else. I'll go to sleep." Ella withdrew her hand, and the watery light in her eyes faded little by little. Tiredness made her look more fragile.
"You don't ask much." Charles laughed. Somehow, a strange feeling grew in his heart.
With a foxy smile, she replied, "You can't find such a good woman in the world. There is only me."
When she smiled, she was actually very beautiful. Her voice was as gentle as water, and her eyes were curved like the crescent moon. If she didn't force herself to do that, she would definitely be gorgeous.
The news that Charles and Ella were going to get married in a month spread all over the city in the second day.
No matter how much the media exaggerated about the remarriage of Ella, it didn't affect her at all. As usual, she read the parenting books and made plans to go back to work after giving birth. Although Charles wasn't in any one of her plans, Charles didn't idle either. Wherever Ella went, he followed her. He didn't allow her to carry the bag, and served her when she was drinking water.
As time went by, the media turned their heads and began to praise how Charles had spoiled Ella.
As soon as the wedding date came, it was not as magnificent as what Ella said. In the end, she chose it to be simple. Wearing a simple white dress, with the witness of the officiator and relatives and friends, Ella became Mrs. Charles from Mrs. Raymond.
When they returned to the villa in the evening, Ella was so tired that she just wanted to lie on the bed. Charles shamelessly wanted to stay close to her and refused to leave. When the two of them were playing, the phone rang.
Looking at his phone, Charles looked a little flustered.
Ella teased him on purpose. Holding his tie with one hand, she asked in a soft voice, "Charles, is it a call from your secret lover? Why are you so nervous?"
"......" Charles felt like weeping but had no tears. He asked the person on the other end of the phone, "What's the matter? I'm going to enjoy my first night of my marriage life."
After a short silence, Raymond said, "Take her away from there."
Hearing his nervous tone, Charles became serious, "Let me tell you, Raymond, if those people dare to blow up my villa again, I will definitely run the old business and kill them!"
As soon as he finished his words, he felt something was wrong.
With a cold face, Ella put her arms around Charles's neck and said in a really mild voice, "Charles, you are still busy on your wedding night. You are so annoying!"
The person on the other end of the phone had already hung up. Charles's eyelids kept twitching. He slapped away Ella's hands and said, "He has already hung up. No matter how well you act, it's useless. Change your clothes and run away with me."
After thinking about what Charles said, Ella felt that something was wrong. Charles hurried out of the master bedroom. When she was about to change her clothes, the window near the place where she was standing was suddenly broken.
She raised her head and saw a big hole in the wall.
Ella was shocked. Did these people really come to burn the villa?
What on earth did Charles do outside?
She lifted her dress and wanted to run away. She swung her high heels and pulled the door handle, but only to see a cold knife in front of her, pointing at her neck.
Ella pinched herself to calm herself down.
The man's face was covered and he was dressed in black. He spoke fluent English and asked Ella to go with him.
Ella's one hand were handcuffed with one of his hands by the man in black. When they went out, there were fighting sounds in the corridor, and Ella squatted down in fear.
In the sound of the fight, someone approached them step by step. The man in black dragged Ella back. In panic, her closed eyes opened suddenly and then she raised her head. The person she saw in the front was actually Raymond, who should have been abroad.
He was in a leather jacket, fully armed, and his long legs were strong and every inch of them fell on her heart.
Ella had never seen him like this.
She knew that his voice was harsh, and he was particularly frightening when he got angry, but she didn't know that he was so cold and bloodthirsty when he was not wearing a suit.
There seemed to be a lot of companions of the man in black in the bedroom next to them. They kept throwing secret darts to Raymond but he dodged them one by one.
Ella trembled and couldn't speak, but she still called out a voice, "Raymond..."
