Chapter 7 Something Happened

In a twinkling of an eye, Cindy had fled several streets.

The sun was burning. Cindy felt dazzling. She squatted down, crossed her arms and buried her head in it. Tears welled up in her eyes.

Why did the god treat her like this?

Cindy's mother kept talking, but she seemed to sense something wrong from her heavy nasal voice.

There was a sudden silence on the other end of the phone.

"Mom, I'm fine." Cindy calm tone implied her strong forbearance.

"If nothing happened, at least tell me that you are safe. I can't contact you for a day. Don't you know that I will worry about you? Jason is in hospital. I don't want anything bad to happen to you."

"Mom, I'm really fine. Why are you looking for me in such a hurry? Is Jason..?"

Her heart sank. It was obvious that her mother was in a hurry through the phone.

As expected, something happened to Jason.

Amanda asked Cindy to go to the hospital as soon as possible. Before Amanda could finish her words, she hung up the phone in a hurry.

It seemed that there was the voice of Jason's attending doctor on the phone.

Leon stepped on the gas and the car sped up.

He didn't say anything, which meant he acquiesced.

The Bentley stopped quietly in front of Cindy. The door was just opened a crack. A taxi came over quickly and made a detour.

"Miss, where are we going?"

"No.2 People's Hospital of J city." Cindy opened the door and got in the taxi. Before she finished her words, she had already left.

Cindy's words slipped into Ethan's ears. "Follow it."

The Bentley followed her quickly.

The moment the car started, Ethan caught a glimpse of the medicine box that Cindy had just fallen to the ground.

"Wait!"

Opening the door, Ethan got off the car and picked it up.

The word "Mildeen" came into view.

Ethan frowned. There were advertisements of this medicine all over the street, so he knew its function.
