Chapter 10 Too Tired

Cynthia was right.

The man was Steven Shen.

Not only in J City, but also in the whole country, as long as in the medicine industry, the name of Steven Shen was like thunder.

As the future hostess of No.2 People's Hospital of J City, Cynthia must know something.

Steven put down Cynthia's feet, took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his hands gently.

"Miss, I don't care your problem with this miss... lady. It was not good to beat people like this in public. If there is anything that can't be solved between you two, I can call the police on behalf of you."

Cindy squatted down, and Steven couldn't see her face clearly. He didn't know whether he called her right or not, so he quickly changed his address.

Cindy let go of her hands and looked up. There were only two people in the room, she and Director Ye.

The red palm print was so conspicuous on Director Ye's fair face.

Director Ye smiled bitterly.

Cindy felt a little sorry for her being beaten because of her. And now she was asked to leave so she had no face to continue to entangle with Director Ye.

At the door, there were still people looking inside.

Cindy stood up, straightened her back, pressed her lips and walked out firmly.

Outside the glass window of the corridor, the lights were already on.

In a twinkling of an eye, it was dark.

At the end of the corridor, a big glass window reflected the shadow of Cindy.

Cindy was still wearing the wedding dress of yesterday. Last night, she was taken away by Ethan directly, so she had no time to change her clothes. Her hair was a little messy, and a long strand of hair fell at her temples. She stepped on the ground with bare feet.

Cindy could not see her face clearly through the glass window. But she has already been clear of her statement.

No wonder people passing by her couldn't help but look at Cindy.

She smiled bitterly.

Without no improvement on Jason's medical fee, Cindy didn't dare to go back to the ward because she was afraid that she would meet her mother's hopeful eyes.

She wandered around in the hospital without any purpose.

On the lawn of the hospital, there was a bench under the street lamp.

Cindy walked over and sat down dejectedly.

She didn't wear shoes, and the cold ground through the soles of her feet occupied every nerve of her.

Cindy couldn't help shivering.

She picked up her feet and put them on the chair. She bent her legs and pulled the hemline of the dress to cover the coldness. Cindy lowered her head on her knees and closed her eyes.

She really wanted this bench to be a warm bed. She could sleep on it soundly.

She was too tired.

It was dark when Steven came out of the operating room.

He stretched herself and pinched the back of his neck.

It took him more than two hours to perform the heart bridge operation for the wife of the mayor of J City.

The operation was a success.

If it weren't for the medical rescue plan of the poor mountain village in J City, he wouldn't have come all the way from the Li City by a few hours' flight to do such a simple surgery to please the mayor.

The president tried to persuade him to stay and wanted to have dinner with him, but was refused by Steven.

Now for him, it should be a very comfortable thing to go back and take a hot shower and lie on the sofa to watch a movie. Steven sneaked out of the surgery building and walked briskly towards the parking lot.

The night was as cold as ice.

Peace, tranquility, and the situation in the ward were two completely different worlds.

In the cold night, under the street lamp, there was a person sitting on a bench.

It was a woman.

She buried her head without making any sound.

Maybe her family was in hospital and she came out to breathe some fresh air. Steven had seen a lot of this kind of situation in the hospital, so he was not surprised at all.

When he passed by, he saw the woman's bare feet. Her skin was white and tender. Under the light of the street lamps, it emitted a slightly warm luster.

However, there seemed to be a nail sized red mark on the back of her feet.

Not far away, two men in black were holding their breath and watching the scene behind a big tree.

Seeing that Steven walked past Cindy without any hesitation, the two of them seemed to be relieved.

"I'll stay here. You go back and tell the boss." One of them ordered in a low voice.

Exhausted, Cindy sat on the bench and slept soundly.

She didn't notice it at all.

After a long time, a tall man in black came to Cindy.

This woman seemed to have gone through a lot of hardship.

The man in black slightly bent down, put his right hand behind Cindy's neck, and stretched his left hand under her legs. Then he gently lifted Cindy horizontally.

Perhaps something interesting happened in her sleep, Cindy smiled, her lips and cheeks quietly blooming the flower of poppy.

The man in black was stunned and left quickly with Cindy in his arms.
