Chapter 4 Memorize The Script

When Dylan heard this, he raised his head and saw Cassie.

Her pale, oval face earlier now looked much better after applying a little blush on her cheeks. As her large eyes blinked, he noticed that her nose was actually quite cute. Her long eyelashes drooped like wings of butterflies.

Her hair had been combed and spread over her shoulders, making her look like an innocent, pure angel. Her eyes were slightly swollen and the dark circles under her eyes had been covered with some foundation. Seeing that her appearance looked more suitable for later, Dylan nodded with satisfaction.

He bent his arm towards Cassie while his chin pointed downward slightly.

Understanding what he meant, Cassie took a step forward and held his arm.

As soon as they walked out the room, a strong gust of air blew against them. It was a cold, winter day, and she was only wearing a thin dress. She couldn't help but shiver and shrink her neck because of the cold.

When Dylan noticed this and looked at her, she smiled at him sheepishly.

By the time the elevator reached the first floor of the building, the reporters were still waiting there.

The whole city was aware that Dylan had always been a cold man who did everything he could to avoid being part of any kind of gossip. He was also known to refuse to associate with any woman. If it weren't for the news that came out just recently, all the girls in H City would have continued to think that he either was a gay or had a sexual dysfunction.

Since such a scandal suddenly came out of nowhere, naturally, all the reporters had to take this opportunity to get it to the headlines.

When Dylan saw the reporters crowding around, he took off his coat and wrapped it around Cassie himself.

On his face, there was a gentle smile that the public had never seen before. He whispered in her ear, "Put it on so you don't get cold."

The reporters screamed at the sight of the two of them and they took countless photos of them. They crowded around them with the clicking sound of the cameras and flashing lights.

"Mr. Lu, is this woman really your girlfriend?"

"Mr. Lu, can you please answer my question. Mr. Lu!"

For a moment, Cassie looked at everyone in a daze, utterly stunned from the sight of all the people. Affectionately, Dylan whispered in her ear and said, "Five million dollars."

After hearing those three words, Cassie smiled sweetly and said, "Thank you."

Nodding his head with satisfaction, Dylan then held her into his arm. He stretched out his other arm to block the flashlight that shone directly into Cassie's eyes.

Simon, Dylan's secretary clapped his hands loudly with a smile and said, "I'm sorry, everyone. Mr. Lu will not be accepting any interviews today. Whatever the identity of this woman is, I just hope that none of you make wild guesses or false claims. Mr. Lu will make his announcement only as he chooses to. I hope that you could give him some personal space for now."

A luxurious Rolls-Royce was waiting for them outside. Like the gentleman that he was, Dylan opened the door for her and used his hand to block the roof of the car, making sure that Cassie wouldn't hit her head.

All of Dylan's female fans waited at the entrance of the building as soon as they heard the news. As soon as they saw the two of them walking out of the building, the fans all screamed at the same time. "Ah!! Dylan, I love you! ! Dylan! ! I love you! !"

In the CEO's office of the ST Group on the other end of H City,

there was a middle-aged man sitting in the chair as he watched the video of the intimate couple. He frowned tightly from the sight of them. He dialed a number on his phone, and as soon as the receiver picked up, he sternly said, "Find out what is happening immediately. What the hell is going on here? "

'Shouldn't he be with Sunny? ? What is he doing with this strange woman?'

Back to the car where Dylan and Cassie were sitting in. With a cold, indifferent look on his face, Dylan sat in the car silently with a straight posture. There was an awkward silence in the atmosphere.

At some point, Cassie couldn't stand the air anymore and broke the silence. "Where are we going? And..."

Before she could finish speaking, Dylan glanced at her, as if signaling her to be quiet.

Cassie slowly closed her mouth, looked down and remained on her seat silently.

Damn it. She wondered, if she continued to speak, did that mean that he would refuse to lend her the five million dollars? ?

He pulled out a bag of files and handed it to Cassie. In a low, mellow voice, he said, "You need to memorize this script and all the information in it. If you make any mistake..."

Immediately knowing what he was going to say next, Cassie intercepted and said, "I know! If I make any mistake, you're not going to lend me the five million dollars. I will do my best to memorize it."

Cassie opened the file and read through the pages carefully. The file contained detailed information about Dylan.

Dylan Lu, 28 years old. The richest man in Asia.

He was a Capricorn, born in 1990. He graduated from a key domestic university. He was a CEO that was believed to be worth more than 100 billion dollars. He was the youngest man in the list of Forbes World's Billionaires, ranking fifth at the age of 28.

The most interesting aspect was that he had founded the HY Entertainment while he was still in college. Eight years later, he honed the small company to what it was today, making it a legendary empire in the entertainment industry.

'But... Wait a minute. Why does this name seem so familiar?' Cassie wondered.

Moments later, she had a major realization. 'Damn it! Isn't this the name of the leading man in my new book? '

Cassie had always been the kind of person who chased the stars. Of course, she had heard about the HY Entertainment in the past, but she didn't know anything about Dylan. No wonder she found the name to be a little familiar when she was still writing the book. She didn't expect that it turned out to be the same man that she had sexual engagement with last night.

Cassie pointed at his name on the piece of paper and asked in astonishment, "Is Owen Lu your brother? "

Glancing at her indifferently, Dylan answered casually, "Yes, he is."

Owen Lu garnered fame after debuting through a famous talent show. He didn't want anyone to think that he had relied on his brother's money and power to get where he was today. Therefore, he put a lot of effort to conceal the truth about his background from the public.

Cassie's previously gloomy face turned bright with smiles. She held Dylan's hand and said, "You know what? I am really fond of your brother!"

Seeing the cheerful look on her face, Dylan frowned at her and teased, "You're suddenly so optimistic."

Just a little while ago, she was crying like a lost kitten in the hotel room. Now, she was smiling so happily after realizing that Owen Lu was his brother.

'Women are so difficult to understand.'

With a smile, Cassie said, "I'm never going to cry again."

Anyway, Alice probably had been waiting for her to cry publicly after what happened. She couldn't let the two of them get that kind of satisfaction and live happily ever after with each other.

The shiny, black Rolls- Royce slowly drove out of the hotel. In the next intersection, it was a red light.

The driver then turned around and asked, "Mr. Lu, where are we heading to?"

After a short pause, Dylan turned his head to look at Cassie and asked, "Where do you live?"

Cassie stated her address and soon enough, the driver stopped at the gate of the community where she lived.

There was no driveway to her house, so she had to get out of the car already.

The community where she lived had a very long and important history. Cassie slowly got out of the car and said, "Thank you."

After that, Dylan followed her out of the car and said, "Show me the way."

"Excuse me?"

For a few moments Cassie froze from surprise, but eventually came to her senses.

She took Dylan towards her home. On the large iron door of her house, there were four words painted in red paint: "Pay off your debt."

Dylan frowned from the sight of this, while Cassie looked for the keys in her bag. She opened the door and said, "There you go. This is it."

As soon as they entered, she saw that the living room was in a complete state of mess.

The living room had always been clean and tidy, but this time all the family's belongings were all over the floor. The tea table had been thrown to the ground and the glass containers, which were originally on the table, had been knocked over and broken into pieces. There were still water stains that were left on the wooden floor and the garbage can had also fallen on to the ground with everything that it had contained now scattered on the floor.

Dylan glanced around in the small room and stopped in the middle of his step.

Cassie quickly went inside and attempted to tidy up. Awkwardly, she said, "I'm sorry for the mess. Maybe take a seat first and I'll get you a glass of water."

Rita, who lived next door, happened to hear her voice and came inside the room.

She asked with uncertainty, "Is that... Is that you, Cassie? "

After seeing her face and making sure that it was really Cassie, Rita hurried over and said, "Cassie! You're finally back! Do you know? Those men who were trying to collect your mother's debt took away your father!"

On the wall of the narrow living room hung a family photo of the three of them. When Cassie turned her head to look around, her eyes fell on the photo. Her eyes suddenly welled up in tears.

Now, memories of her father's last words before he was taken away intertwined with the happy memories of her childhood. She felt like her heart had been stabbed repeatedly and endless bitterness gushed out.

Her thin body trembled ever so slightly. She was choking from her sobs and said, "I... I know, Rita. I..."

Holding Rita in her arms, Cassie couldn't say anything and could only cry out in desperation. After a long while she said, "Rita, do you know... Do you know where they have taken my father?"
