Chapter 9 Meet With Victor

The sunshine passed through the thin window gauze in the room and fell on the man sitting on the chair. The light was gentle but not dazzling. The man's eyes were closed, and the outline of his side face was perfect like a sculpture made by God. His delicate hair was scattered casually at the corners of his eyebrows, his nose was distinct, and his thin lips were slightly raised. Clearly, the man's skin was as fair as a baby.

Sophia seemed to have an illusion of seeing an angel.

No, how could he be an angel? He was a shameless devil!

"Come here." Suddenly, a low and husky male voice got into her ears. Shocked, Sophia looked at Victor unconsciously.

Victor had already sat up straight, and he was looking at her with his sharp eyes. Although he was just sitting and she was standing, Sophia felt that his aura was so overwhelming that she could hardly breathe.

She tried to pretend that she did not hear him. "I'm here for JH Group..." As Sophia was trying to find proper words, a sense of shame rose in her eyes!

She recalled the time they were at the hotel. That night, he also looked at her like that! He forced her to have sex with him regardless of her resistance. In addition, he even told her his name haughtily!

How could she negotiate with such a person!

"What? Are you afraid that I will eat you up? Come to me if you want to save the JH Group." The smile in Victor's eyes faded into mockery.

Meanwhile, Sophia's mouth twitched. There was no way back for her!

A sly smile tugged the corners of Victor's mouth. He lowered his head and stared at her collar. His eyes were deep and unfathomable.

"Shame on you!" Sophia covered her collar with her hand, her eyes blazing with anger. "I heard that you like men. When did your preference change?"

A strange smile tugged at the corner of Victor's eye. "Oh? Then let me tell you again what I like."

Sophia was shocked. She felt something bad was going to happen again. Did he want to... Oh no! Not again!

"We are in the office, Victor Xiao! How dare you-" However, before she could finish her sentence, Victor pressed his lips against hers domineeringly.

Surprisingly, there was a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

Sophia was totally imprisoned in his arms. She tried to struggle but to no avail. She was resisting his violence, but her movements seemed to cooperate slowly, as if she had been hypnotized. The chill in Victor's lips, mixed with the smell of tobacco, made her feel inexplicably mesmerized.

"Close your eyes!" Victor ordered commandingly to Sophia while staring at her.

As she closed her eyes obediently, she heard him giggle. As though she suddenly woke up from a trance, she opened her eyes and raised her hand to slap the man in the face.

'This bastard dared to command me. But most importantly, I followed him!'

"You are the first woman who dared to hit me!" Victor grabbed her hand and tried to figure out what was going on.

"Shame on you!" Then, Victor forcefully made her lie on the sofa.

Sophia's anger made her face redder.

"If you move even a little bit, the JH Group will be over!" Victor gasped, trying to suppress the sound in his voice. He stared at her until her struggle lessened and her breathing became rapid.

Sophia recalled her intention of coming here. She wanted to keep the JH Group and retrieve her mother's photo. The JH Group was the result of her so-called father's painstaking efforts.

She closed her eyes reluctantly, but her nails were deeply embedded in Victor's clothes. It could be seen how angry she was.

A cold smile appeared on Victor's face. He lifted her up and carried her to the lounge inside the CEO's office.

Meanwhile, there was a moment of silence outside. Nobody else had ever stayed in Victor's office for such a long time! Although the employees were curious, no one dared to discuss it unless the person did not want to survive in the city.

Sophia tidied her shirt, but the red hickey on her neck could not be concealed. If she walked out like this, all people in the YS Group would know what Victor had done to her.

Sitting on the sofa, Victor laughed as he watched Sophia's movements. "Do you still doubt my sexual orientation now?"

Sophia's feelings overwhelmed her. She raised her head and glared at the man sitting. Her eyes were full of disgust and revulsion. She did not want to talk to this man anymore.

"Miss Sophia, please don't worry. I will give you a satisfactory reply regarding the JH Group." Victor then walked up to her and stroked her hair with a look of satisfaction.

She looked at him with intense coldness as if he was a demon who devoured others in silence.

"I hope you can keep your promise." After finishing these words, Sophia walked out and closed the door behind her.

A sinister smile crept on the corner of Victor's mouth. He stared at her back until she was out of sight.

Facing the strange eyes of the YS Group again, there was no time for Sophia to think about too much. She rushed out of the building immediately.

"Did you see that? On her neck! It seemed to be a hickey! Really?"

"It seems so! Our CEO must be very happy just now! Were they..."

"Hush! Don't ask too much about our CEO. Go to work now!"

Fortunately, Sophia was too far to hear the gossips. Little did she know, Victor deliberately made sure everyone knew that she was his woman.

Inside the office, he sat on his swivel chair with a sly smile. Jian family.

Sophia had hardly entered the room when she heard Stellar's voice.

"Are you really going to make Sophia go to the company? She knows nothing. It's useless for her to work here!"

Hearing this, Sophia got back to her feet. She wanted to know what kind of attitude Caspar had. He had promised she could work in the company and even take an important position in order to save the JH Group. Now, she wanted to see if he kept his words!

"Of course she will. If she can really protect the JH Group, that would be great," Caspar replied.

It comforted Sophia to hear this. Even though her father did not treat her well, he still fulfilled his promises.

"But Jenny has never worked in the company before." The discontent voice of Stellar was heard again.

Huh! When the company was in trouble, Jenny was fooling around with Peter! Standing outside the door, Sophia was disappointed. However, she didn't move. She wanted to know how much Caspar favored Jenny!

"I know what you are thinking. I asked her to work in the company just to comfort her. In the future, I will find a reason to drive her out of the JH Group. Don't worry about this. I already know what to do." It was so easy for Caspar to make such a decision.

Hearing the laughter from inside the room, Sophia felt bitter. After all, no matter what she did for the family, it was just reasonable and normal in their eyes. Should she just let them continue exploiting the rest of her value?

The idea of running away from home came back to Sophia.

"How is it going? What did Victor say? Did he agree to let go of the JH Group?" As soon as Sophia stepped into the room, Stellar asked her right away.

"Yes."

Caspar, who got Sophia's reply, heaved a sigh of relief.

"That's great! Thank God, the JH Group is finally saved! Now I can go play cards at ease." Stellar clasped her hands together and smiled.

No one in the family cared about Sophia. They never asked her what she did to be successful.

Meanwhile, her so-called father prepared to go to the company for a meeting with an excited look on his face.

"Are you going to return it to me?" Sophia asked coldly while staring at Stellar, who was full of joy like a survivor from a disaster.

Stellar looked back at her with a disdainful look. She took out a photo from her handbag and put it in Sophia's palm. Then, she glanced at Caspar, who did not seem to see what they were doing, and said in a low voice, "Oh, it's just a photo. Who cares? Take it!"

Sophia took the picture and held it. She then turned around and went upstairs right away. When she was finally alone in her room, she stared blankly at the ceiling. At this moment, the tears that had been held back for a long time streamed down her face. At the same time, she buried her face on the bed and let out a cry.

"Mom, I miss you so much. I don't want to stay here anymore!" sobbed Sophia while touching her mother's face on picture.

Her mother in the photo was smiling happily, as if she was looking at her lover.

"Mom, Dad doesn't like me at all. I can't feel any warmth here. I want to leave here now." While Sophia cried, she talked to her mother as if she was still alive.

"Today, I even... I offered to that man my body in order to protect Father's company. But Dad never asked me anything about it, Mother." At the thought of what had happened in the office, she felt that she was now dirty and impure.

Sophia lived with her mother when she was a child. They suffered a lot, but it was the hardships that made Sophia's mind strong.

The leaves rustled as the wind blew. It was like a comfort from Sophia's mother from afar.

In this family, her father was emotionless, her sister was selfish, and her stepmother was so domineering. All these suppressed Sophia's breath. She could only have her freedom if she escaped from this place. In this way, nobody would control her again.

She wiped her tears, and tidied up her clothes. Once everything was set, she opened the door and walked out.
