Chapter 8 Randall Jia

Without any doubt, Leona took the tray from Olivia and walked towards the table that Olivia had pointed at. Four young men were at the table, and one of them was Randall Jia. His eyes sparkled when he saw that Leona was walking towards them. One of the other three young men, who looked like a certified playboy, sat down next to him. Seeing the expression on Randall's face, the young man said maliciously, "Randall, she is definitely more beautiful than Joyce. Don't tell me..."

Before the young man could finish what he wanted to say, Randall Jia looked at him, smiled knowingly, and nodded. When Leona was already near their table, Randall Jia deliberately shoved the tray on her hand.

Crack! A loud sound reverberated around the bar when the expensive bottle of wine fell to the floor and was smashed into pieces. At the same time, the golden liquid splashed on Randall Jia's expensive trousers.

"I am her boyfriend. Tell me, what do you want from her?" York was never afraid of Randall Jia and the three young men on the table.

"She broke the bottle of imported wine we have ordered and stained Randall's pants. She has even accused Randall of doing it on purpose. Since she has no money to pay for everything, Randall just requested her to drink a glass of wine as a sign of apology, and she will be forgiven. But she directly refused Randall's kindness. The scene in front of her made Leona finally understand why Randall Jia wanted her to drink the wine. Fear surged up in her heart at once. If York didn't show up in time, she couldn't imagine what could have happened to her in the hands of these four despicable young men.

"If I ever see you do such an awful trick again, I'll beat you up to death," York warned as he looked at the young men on the floor again. Then, he took Leona's arm and walked out of the bar.

With a sullen look, Randall Jia silently watched York's and Leona's receding backs. He then took out his phone and called someone. "Buddy, this is Randall. I need you to do me a favor."

York accompanied Leona to the dressing room of the bar to change her clothes. It was already eleven o'clock and it was the end of her shift, so they decided to get out of the bar.

"York, thank you for helping me. I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble tonight. But I promise you, I will pay the money you paid to them," Leona said haltingly, with her head down. They stood beside York's car. She couldn't express how grateful she was to him.

"You don't need to pay me back for that money. But I hope that you quit your job here. This place is too dangerous for you. If I hadn't come here, I couldn't imagine what could have happened to you," York earnestly said, taking Leona's hand.

"But I really need this job. Don't worry. I will be more careful next time. I won't let this thing happen to me again. Besides, my manager told me just now that he won't allow those guys to enter our bar again. Starting today, they are banned from entering here."
