Chapter 10 Meeting Greg In The Bar

For the first time, Cynthia stayed up all night. It was because when she checked Jonson's phone, she accidentally read a message that drove her mad. It said, "Jonson, it's been years that we haven't seen each other. How is our daughter?" Although the sender was unknown, Cynthia knew who it was. It must be Bess Shen, Leona's biological mother. After all, aside from her, Jonson only had a daughter with Bess Shen.

Cynthia hysterically bickered with Jonson about it. She didn't stop until Jonson couldn't stand it anymore and left her, slamming the door of their bedroom. Sitting alone in the bedroom, she got more furious. Bess Shen had almost ruined her family. But since she didn't know where to find Bess Shen, she could only vent her anger on Leona for now. She would let Bess Shen know that Leona was in her hand, and Leona would never have a chance to live a happy life as long as she was alive.

Cynthia rushed over to Leona's bedroom. But much to her surprise, Leona wasn't there. It only meant that Leona was not home yet. She got more pissed off as she murmured, "You are just as dissolute as your mother. You are both good at seducing men. At such a young age, you've already learned to stay out all night?"

When she went out of Leona's room, she heard a faint sound from the small gate in the backyard. She looked towards the small gate and saw Leona coming in. Cynthia madly rushed to the door. She couldn't wait to slap Leona across the face. As soon as the door opened, her right hand landed on Leona's face heavily, and she shouted, "You bitch! You are really as dissolute as your mother. You are too young, but you already know how to stay outside all night. You are just one of those bad girls on the street!"

"No, Aunt. I..." Cynthia had misunderstood her, so Leona wanted to explain. She wanted to let Cynthia know that she was not able to come home early because she had an accident.

But before she could even finish her words, Cynthia yelled again, "Shut up! And don't you ever call me Aunt. You must call me Mrs. Ling. Your mother is a shameless woman, and you are just like her. Well, why should I be surprised? You even look like her. And you know what? Both of you like to flirt with men!" Cynthia then grabbed Leona's hair and started beating her. It was not until Leona fell to the ground with blood all over her body that Cynthia stopped to gasp for air.

Tears streamed down Leona's face as she watched Cynthia's receding back. In her mind, she couldn't help blaming her mother, 'Mom, why did you have to give birth to me if you didn't want me? And Aunt Cynthia always says that you flirted with Dad. Why did you do such a thing?'

After the incident with York, Leona still went to the bar to work. But this time, she always felt nervous while shuttling from one customer to another in her sexy pink bunny suit. These past few days, she had been very busy. She had two jobs in the evening while she went to school in the daytime and spared some time to visit York in the hospital. Every time York's mother was not around, she would sneak in to see him. She needed to do it because she was sure that his mother would not allow her to even take a look at him. As a result, Leona had lost so much weight in just half a month.

This evening, two tall and handsome men entered the bar. They were so good-looking that almost all the women there paid attention to them. It seemed that the two men had totally different personalities. One of them always had a smile on his face. He had a pair of beautiful eyes full of tenderness. His fair skin could make any woman amazed.

Even though he was only wearing a casual white shirt, his every move exuded a noble aura. He was Evan Mu, Greg's best friend since childhood. The man next to Evan Mu had a firm and masculine face. His thin lips were pressed so tightly as if they were frozen. People couldn't help wondering if he even knew how to smile.

But his deep-set eyes showed that he was a man who seldom smiled. Wearing a formal Armani suit and a stern look on his face, he quietly followed Evan Mu inside the bar. If Leona was there, she would definitely recognize him. He was Greg, Jasmine's boyfriend. Evan Mu looked at the female manager who was walking towards them and said lazily, "Amelia, prepare a room for us."

"I'm glad to see you again, Mr. Mu," Amelia greeted Evan Mu with a courteous smile. He was one of their regular customers, so she was already familiar with him. She immediately led the two men to a private room.

Tonight, Evan Mu only dragged Greg to this bar. Greg didn't really like going to this kind of place. But when his eyes caught sight of a beautiful figure holding a tray on her hands and serving wine to the customers, his interest was suddenly aroused.

He recognized the beautiful young woman at once. She was Leona, the second daughter of the Ling family and Jasmine's younger sister. Greg remembered the evening he had an encounter with Leona in the backyard. It was already late at night, and she smelled cigarette smoke all over her body. Now he knew why. This time, he couldn't help wondering if Leona was working here in order to hook up with rich men.

Greg's train of thought was interrupted by Evan Mu's voice, "This way, Greg. I usually come here whenever I want to relax. This bar is nice, especially their beautiful waitresses." Evan Mu's gaze swept the whole bar, and a playful smile appeared on his face.

When they were inside their private room, Evan Mu ordered a bottle of wine. Sitting leisurely on the couch, Greg pointed at Leona, who was standing near the door, and said, "Let her in to serve us."

Amelia turned her gaze to look at Leona. Then with an embarrassed look, she said, "Sir, she is just a waitress here, not an entertainer."

"Cut the crap. We just want her to bring our wine. And ask Olivia to come here too," Evan Mu interrupted her. He noticed that Greg had been staring at Leona, so he knew that Greg was interested in her. As for Olivia, he met her when he came here last night. She was the reason why he decided to come here again this evening.

Since Evan Mu was a regular customer, Amelia didn't have a choice but to grant his request. She went to Leona and asked the latter to bring a bottle of imported wine to private room No. 1. Leona hesitated at once. One of the policies in their bar was only entertainers entered the private rooms. Waitresses like her were just responsible for serving the orders of the customers in the hall.

Seeing the hesitation on Leona's face, Amelia immediately said, "Don't worry. You will only serve the bottle of wine to our customers there. And Olivia will go with you."

Somehow, Leona felt a little relieved when she heard that Olivia would be with her. She took the tray from Amelia's hand and walked towards private room No. 1. The moment she opened the door, she indistinctly saw two men sitting on the couch. The private room was as dark as the outside, but it was much quieter and more luxurious.

Leona was hesitant to enter the room at first. But when she saw that Olivia was already sitting beside one of the men, she decided to walk inside. However, she still felt strange. She and Olivia were both waitresses. They were not supposed to drink with customers. Why was Olivia sitting and drinking with the man?

'Maybe they are friends,' Leona thought inwardly to discard the strange feeling that rose in her heart. Without thinking too much, she put the bottle of wine on the table and turned around to go out.

But all of a sudden, a big hand grabbed her arm from behind and pulled her. Before she could even know what was going on, she heard a familiar voice, "Little wild kitten, I didn't expect to see you here. It seems that we are really destined to meet."

Leona felt nervous in an instant. She only knew one person who called her such a pet name.
