"She's fine. You came unannounced-hope everything is alright?" Felix asked, his eyes narrowing slightly with suspicion as he waited for Caine's explanation, inwardly hoping he hadn't come for the same reason.
Caine couldn't possibly tell him that he had paid someone within the Night Walker Pack to secretly watch over Ellen day and night, reporting anything unusual to him.
"Alpha, I have come to take my Luna home with me. I mean, we both know she is feeling much better now than before, so please, can you allow her to return to the Coinage Pack with me?" Caine asked confidently, assuming that Felix's earlier approval meant consent. Little did he know Felix had only said those words to get Damien out of his pack.
"No! I said no! None of you is taking my daughter with you. She is going nowhere-do you hear me?" Alpha Felix growled, anger and disappointment evident on his face. He was completely taken aback that Caine had come for the exact same reason.
"But Alpha, I thought we-" Caine began, but he was abruptly cut off.
Damien burst into loud, mocking laughter, the sound echoing through the hallway in a way that made Caine feel belittled.
"I came to take my Luna with me... which Luna? How dare you stand before me and call my mate your Luna? She is not your Luna, and it's either I leave with her or no one does. As you know, I do not share my belongings with anyone, and she belongs to me. I will never share her-not even with my own children, talk more of you!" Damien snapped as he stepped closer to Caine like a wounded lion ready to strike.
"Get one thing into your dumb head-she will never want someone as fragile as you to be her mate," Damien whispered into Caine's ear, a cruel smirk playing on his lips.
In an instant, Caine lost control and shifted into his wolf form, lunging towards Damien, who was still in human form. But Damien swiftly stepped back and shifted immediately into his massive black wolf.
They clashed violently, their canines snapping and claws slashing as they fought with raw aggression. The intensity of the fight shook the surroundings. Caine's wolf slashed its claws across Damien's face, but Damien managed to pull back just before the attack could fully tear through his skin.
With a powerful leap, Damien lunged forward, sinking his sharp canines into Caine's face and dragging down towards his neck, following the motion with rapid, brutal claw strikes.
Alpha Felix knew better than to interfere between two enraged wolves. He understood that trying to separate them could easily redirect their fury toward him. Instead, he mind-linked his Beta, instructing him to ring the pack bell.
Moments later, the loud sound of the bell echoed through the pack.
Both wolves froze.
They stopped fighting almost immediately and shifted back into their human forms, breathing heavily, their bodies covered in bruises and minor wounds.
"Now both of you should leave my pack this instant!" Alpha Felix thundered, glaring at the two naked men standing before him, both looking like they had just run a world marathon.
"My Beta will bring clothes for both of you, but before he arrives, get this straight-my daughter is going nowhere as far as both of you are concerned," Felix added firmly before turning and walking into the room where Ellen had been lying, silently watching everything unfold.
Shortly after, his Beta arrived with clothes, which both men wore before finally leaving the pack.

"Caine, how did it go?" Simon, Caine's father, asked immediately upon seeing him enter the house.
"Dad, I can't believe this happened. I mean, I was the one who helped bring Annabel back to life, yet here I am, fighting Alpha Damien of the Blue Moon Pack over my own mate!" Caine snapped angrily, his frustration spilling over as though his father were responsible.
"What?! You mean to say Felix stood there and watched all of that happen?" Simon asked in shock, standing still as he tried to process what he had just heard.
"Yes, Dad! Yes! Your so-called best friend in the entire universe made me look like a fool in front of that arrogant Alpha!" Caine continued, pacing the room restlessly, his anger evident in every step.
"Don't worry, my son. I will go and speak to him about this, alright? Just calm down," Grand Alpha Charles said, trying to soothe him.
"You better, or else you both won't like what I'll become, and trust me-you won't find it funny, neither will he," Caine warned before storming off to his room, his anger still burning fiercely.
This is the first time in my life I've been rejected in such a humiliating and disrespectful way. Alpha Felix has taken more than he can handle-I will make sure he pays for it. I must have my Luna by my side, Caine thought as he slammed his door shut.
...
Alpha Damien stood in his study, his expression dark.
This is the first time in my life that I have ever been turned down in such a disgraceful and embarrassing manner. Alpha Felix has taken more than he can chew... I will help him chew it down. I must have my Luna by my side, Damien thought as he stood up and walked towards the door.
"Hey," he called out to a guard standing nearby.
"Greetings, Al-" the guard began, but Damien cut him off sharply.
"Call Victor now!" he ordered, his voice thunderous.
The guard immediately ran off.
"You called for me, Alpha," Victor said as he entered the office, noticing Damien reviewing some documents.
Damien looked up slowly.
"Victor... I need your help," Alpha Damien said, stepping closer to him, his tone low but dangerous.
