Chapter 4 : Searching For My Mate

Dominic's POV

I never knew I would be this desperate to find a girl that I don't even want. I had waited to turn around and leave so Dwayne would search for her, but something in me just wouldn't let me leave, I just want to find her and make sure she's okay.

What the hell is wrong with me?

Why cant I just leave?

I had my men combing through the woods, searching every house, every corner, searching for her. I did not stay back like I earlier intended, I went along with some guys, searching for her.

With the way I'm searching for her, you would think I have other motives for searching this hard, you'd never know that I simply want to put an end to her miserable life send her to the afterlife.

That's why I'm searching for her, right?

I do t even know anymore. This whole thing is messing with my head, I need to get rid of her so I can get my head back in the game. Something big is coming, there is a war coming and I need to be ready for it, otherwise our entire population would be forever subdued by the lycan. I don't need any distraction right now, and that is exactly what a mate will be to me, a distraction.

We searched every fucking hangout spot but I couldn't find her anywhere, if I didn't know better, I would say that she had left this pack long before I showed up here. I would have believed that but I made sure nobody knew that we were coming. I made sure our attack was a secret. No one knew we were coming, so there is no way she could have escaped this packs territory, besides, I've placed some guys around their borders for a while now, they would have reported back to me if someone had tried to escape.

I'm sure she is somewhere in this lack, and I'm going to find her. As I went around the pack, searching every house, I realised that the people were not being honest with me, their we're not cooperating with my warriors and I, so I resorted to threats and torture, just to get them talking. It's obvious that they know exactly where she is or at least, they have an idea on where she could be, but they are hiding her location from me because of their loyalty to their Alpha, a misplaced loyalty, if you ask me. I'm going to be the Alpha king , so they should have more respect for me because their loyalty and allegiance belongs to me, only me.

I turned a blind eye to their plight as my warriors forced them to tell the truth about the whereabouts of the Alphas daughter. It had taken a while, some were tougher than the others and they refused to say a word, but after a few minutes of threatening and torturing them they finally budged and someone finally gave me the information I was looking for. Don't give me that look, I didn't torture them that much!

I'm not a monster, okay.

I don't go around killing and maiming people for nothing. Yeah that's a lie, I did kill some people, a lot of people, but it's all for the grater good and I only killed those who wouldn't fall 8n line even after hearing my plans for our future. Right now, my warriors are not torturing them that much, They did more of threatening, than torture. These people are my people, when I finally defeat all the remaining Alphas, I would be their king. I want them to fear me, not hate me. It would be unwise to create hate in all the pace I conquer, they may end up coming together to fight against me, and that would not be good. It's true that I want every pack to come together, but I don't want them to fight against me, No, I want to be their leader so I can lead them to victory when the lycan king comes to force us under his rule. We can't defeat them if we are separated, but together, we would succeed and win our freedom.

I had stood aside and watched, while Dwayne supervised the warriors as they rounded up the Alphas warriors and questioned them. When one of them finally agreed to talk, I focused my attention on him and that was when he said the words that got me so pissed that I kicked at everything in my path, using my boot to scatter everything in my way. The truth is, I don't even know why I am this pissed but I just am, and here's the funny part, I can't stop this anger within me, it's so upsetting that I just can't control it.

The stupid Alpha just got on my last nerves!!!

The warrior just told us that Alpha Rowley had betrothed his daughter, my mate, to a mutt named Carl. They have been for a while now and they planned to get married a few months from today, can you believe that?

He gave my mate to another guy, a low life, and I know certainly that she is still with him right now. She must have gone to spend the night in his house, for all I know, he could be fucking her this minute. That damn weasel, I'm going to fucking kill him. I could feel my anger rising as I pictured that angel, that beautiful damsel that I had just seen her picture, I pictured her in his arms and it's so fucking infuriating. My blood was boiling as it flows through my veins, I was seething in anger. How could he hand her over to another man, no, wrong question, why did that guy come for my mate, or better yet, why had she accepted to mate wilt that dick head, that weasel.

All these questions kept turning and churning in my head as I led my warriors and matched to his house, while Alpha Rowley's warrior led the way, leading us straight to Carls house. I'll deal with Alpha Rowley later, but right now, I need to find her right now, before that carl guy does more damage than he had already done. I'll fucking kill him for laying his filthy hands on my mate, he is so fucking dead, he just doesn't know it yet.

The snitch pointed at Carls door and I smiled in appreciation for his help, then I walked up to him and rid him of all his weapons and crest that identifies him as a warrior. "What is your name?" I asked him fiercely, staring deep into his eyes as he shivered in fear at my presence.

"My name is Blake Williams, my Lord." He stammered out shakily, with fear radiating off him in waves.

"Do not call me your Lord Blake, never in your life. As of today, I rid you of every privilege of a warrior, neither you nor anyone from your linage would be allowed to serve a warriors because No snitch is fit to be a warrior under my service. I released you from your service Blame, go now before I kill you where you stand." I spat out fiercely, watching as his face got drained of all color.

"B... B... But, I obeyed you, I told you what you needed to know, I was loyal to you, Alpha...

"You betrayed your Alpha, you snitch." I yelled at him, cutting his silly excuses short.

"A true warrior would never betray his Alpha Blake, but you just did and now I can't trust you anymore, I mean, if you can betray your Alpha, who is to say that you won't betray me someday if the tables are turned. Get out of my sight Blake, you disgust me." I let out disgustedly before turning to my warriors. They have been standing behind me for some minutes knocking on Carls door, but the idiot have refused to answer his door. He could be both naked with her right now and he has the effrontery to keep me waiting out here while he screwed my mate. I swear Carl won't know what hit him, I'll make him regret touching my mate, he would never get away with it. I don't have the time and patience for all this noise, he is in there and he is not responding to his door and it's pissing me off.

I lunged forward and kicked so hard on his measly door, kicking it off its hinges without much struggle. As we got into his house, I saw him coming towards the door. It looks like he was just coming from his bedroom, and I lost all rational thought as I lunged forward and punched him hard on the face, sending him flying to the other direction. He hit the wall on the other end of the room and I followed him right there, toppling on top of him as I dealt him several blows to his face, punching him so hard as I kept yelling at him in both anger and frustration,

"You weasel! How dare you lay your filthy hands on my mate?

Where the fuck is she right now, where is she?

I'll fucking kill her, and I'll kill you too. Where is she?" I yelled continuously, punching him as I screamed like a fucking lunatic. The fact that he is so handsome is even more infuriating and it made me punch him even harder as I imagined my mate admiring his stupid face. I know he is going to heal pretty soon, but I just have to vent my anger because I am so fucking pissed and I can't seem to control myself anymore.

The worst part of it all is that I don't even know why I am this furious, I mean, I don't even care about her and I don't want her by my side. I don't want a mate, ever. I should be letting him have her because I never want to be shackled by the mate bond, but the mere thought of her being with another guy is driving me crazy. I can't even bear to imagine it, I just can't stand it. Even if I don't want her, he still has no right to be with her, she is still mine, mine!!!

"Who are you and why are you in my house, beating me up?" he stammered out weakly.

"Cut the pretence, you fool. Where is the Alphas daughter?" I asked him once more, sounding so stern and fierce.

"Alphas daughter? Oh, you mean Bethany?" he asked back. It could be because of his injuries or maybe I am too furious and I'm not thinking straight, but I think I could detect sarcasm in his tone of voice, or maybe I'm just hearing things.

"Bethany... I love her name. It sound beautiful. Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning Bethany." No.. No.. No.. No.. I can't be having these nice thoughts about her. I can't let the mate bond to control me. She is not beautiful and I hate her name. I don't even want to hear that name, I want nothing to do with her or her stupid name.

"Now you listen to me, you fuck head, I don't care what her name is, I do t fucking care about her. Tell me where she is or I swear I'm gonna fucking rip out your heart from your chest." I threatened angrily. I don't even know why I was telling him that I don't care about her, I guess I was also trying to convince myself that I really don't care about her.

"Where the fuck is she?" I yelled once more when he wouldn't say anything.

"Jeez, stop screaming so loudly I don't know where she is okay. We met briefly at the woods before all this started. I asked her to hide in the woods until I come get her. I'm pretty sure that she is still hiding in the woods, or maybe your men have gotten to her, I just don't know." He responded smugly but I wasn't paying attention to his expressions, so I just pulled him up from the floor and pushed him towards the door.

"Take me to her, right now!" I ordered sternly, standing back as I watched my guys push him forward, taking him deeper into the woods. He had a smirk on his face as he kept leading us into the woods.

Wait a minute,

Why is he smirking?

That snitch had told us that they both loved each other so much, he wouldn't be this happy to sell her out, would he?

We were now deep into the woods, but I wasn't feeling okay, something doesn't add up. I felt her presence while we were in his house, but as we moved further away from his house, I feel the warmth disappearing slowly, it felt like my heart was melting into larvae and I felt torn from my mate. I could feel her presence in this woods and I could tell that she frequents this woods but her scent is faded around this woods, her scent was more stronger in his house. I stopped in my tracks and studied the footprints around us. With my heightened eyesight I saw all our footprints clearly but we were smearing any other footprints here as we kept stomping forward.

"Stop!!!"

I yelled at the top of my voice, causing everyone to stop in their tracks. I move forward, with Dwayne following closely behind me. We moved a few feet away from the crowd, then I saw their footprints, a male and female footprint and it's heading back the way we came. To be sure I wasn't mistaken, I asked Carl to step forward and when he did, I confirmed that his footprints matched the ones I saw just now and that means that the ladies footprint belongs to my mate, Bethany. She had followed him back, she had been in his house all along and I was too furious to detect her presence.

He must have known that I had caught up with his lie and he tried to back away but he was too late, I grabbed him and punched him so hard on the face, sending him flying the other way as he hit his back against a tree. I was standing in front of him within seconds and I held him by the neck and lifted him off his feet, staring deep into his eyes,

"Where is my mate?" I asked him fiercely.
