Hazel's Point of View "Please stop chasing me " I screamed at the top of my lungs as I continued to run in the woods. I keep on running as fast as I can. I'm afraid he will catch up with me if I suddenly stop running. I don't even know what I did to deserve all this. "Stop running and I will spare you." His cold, terrifying voice rang through the wood and I could feel my body tremble slightly. I'm so scared and very tired at the same time. There is no way I will stop. Though my legs were hurting so much and it looked like I would collapse at any moment. But I still manage to continue running.
I stepped on a slippery slope and I fell instantly. My body rolled on the floor and my beautiful silk was covered in mud instantly. My head collided with a wood and blood began to flow. I felt dizzy but I still managed to stand up. I would rather die than let this devil catch me. Suddenly, the movement behind me stopped and the ruffling sound of the woods stopped. I also stopped in my tracks instantly. Has he stopped chasing me? Am I free now? My legs were hurting badly and I was so tired. A sigh of relief escaped my lips. Maybe he has stopped chasing me. I turned back to the front and was shocked to see the silver-masked man in front of me. "Ahhh," I screamed in horror and wanted to fall but he was quick to catch me. He wrapped his strong arms around my waist supporting my weightless body. The silver moonlight seemed to set on his face that was covered in a mask. This is the devil that has been tormenting me for the past Eight years. I don't even know who he was and I'm sure I don't want to know. "Do you want to run away now?" He asked with a raised brow. Though his face was covered with a mask, I could tell he was smirking at me. His dark Phoenix eyes gaze into mine and my body shivered slightly . I'm so scared out of my wit. "Let go of me please." I managed to voice out. My voice trembled slightly and I could feel tears brimming in my eyes threatening to fall. A cold chuckle forced itself out of his throat sending shivers down my spine. His chuckle might sound amusing to him but to but to me. It was like a death sentence. He suddenly moved his hand to my cheeks and caressed it slightly. The amusing glint in his eyes never leaves for once. I tried to move my cheeks away when his hand brushed my cheeks again. He suddenly pulled me closer and my chest collided with his. He tugged a strand of my hair behind my ear and moved his lips to my ear. He nibbed on it softly and I could feel a shiver run down my spine. My body trembled in his arm. "I'm coming for you soon little witch." He whispered into my ear. "No please!" I screamed and closed my eyes instantly. I opened my eyes back and was surprised to meet myself in my room. I was covered in cold sweat and my heart was beating like crazy. "It's another nightmare," I mumbled under my breath and suck in a deep breath. I grabbed the blanket and used it to cover my body. I'm so scared. I'm scared of sleeping again with the thought that the masked man will appear in my dreams again just like he has always done. He has been doing this for the past Eight years. I don't even know what I did to deserve all this. I don't even know who the heck he was. I celebrated my eighteenth birthday last week and fortunately, he did not appear in my dreams since then. I've been sleeping soundly for the past few days and now. He appeared again. I use the duvet to wipe away the beads of sweat on my face. I'm so scared right now. I can't even go back to sleep and I can't even stay awake because I'm scared. I'm so scared. For the past eight years, he has never shown me his face and I'm sure I don't want to see his face. "I'm coming for you soon little witch." His word earlier echoed in my head and my body shook uncontrollably. I almost burst into tears. I can't stay in this room alone any longer. I slipped out of the bed and used the blanket to cover my body. My room was dimly light so I was able to see a little. I tiptoed to the door and turned the doorknob slowly. "Crash." My body jolted in fear and turned around instantly. I saw a shattered plate on the floor. How did the plate appear there? I can't even tell because I don't remember bringing the plate to the room. "Devil, is that you?" I almost blurted out but I bit my lips so as not to make a sound. I gulped down my saliva nervously and turned back to the door. I pushed it open swiftly and ran out of the room. I ran to Ophelia's room which was not far from my room. I didn't bother to knock at all and pushed open the door directly. I closed the door instantly and ran to Ophelia's bed. I jumped on her bed and hid myself under the blanket. I wrapped my hands around her and hugged her tightly. "My lady." I heard Ophelia's soft voice and I raised my head. I guess she's awake by my sudden movement. "Ophelia," I said and burst into tears immediately. I can't hold it back anymore. "Are you having nightmares again?" She asked and I nodded my head trying my best not to cry out loud. She hugged me even more and patted my head. Ophelia is the only one who believes me when I say a man always comes into my dreams.
