Chapter 1 Sad News

Samuel grab Sarah's hand while pushing the emergency hospital bed with the doctors and nurses. Sarah held unto Samuels hand tightly, Samuel glanced at Sarah and said"you would be fine". Sarah nodded and then the doctors pushed her into the ICU,the ICU door shut close.

Samuel placed his folded fist on his mouth while pacing to and fro. He stood outside the ICU waiting, 10mins, 20mins,30mins but there was no news from the doctor.1hr later,the doctor finally came out with the nurses.

Samuel stood up quickly and walked towards the doctor "Doc". Doctor Frank turned to Samuel, Samuel then asked"how's she?"

The doctor replied"I'm sorry Mr Sam, your wife's condition is critical. She has stomach cancer and it has gotten worse,we tried our best but she won't be able to survive it".

Samuel staggered "wh...what?" . Dr Frank handed the files in his hands to the nurse beside him "we would be able to sustain her for only a week".

Dr Frank paused and continued"I'm sorry Samuel if it was possible to save her I would have done my best but I can't".

Samuel nodded slightly and wiped the tears hanging on his eyes, Dr Frank left with the nurses . Samuel went to bathroom, he splashed water on his face then starred at himself in the mirror for a while and suddenly burst into tears.
