Just read on.

Chapter 1 The System

It was the early autumn of the cosmopolitan city Ulgow.

Though the temperatures started to drop, it was still quite hot.

Downtown, Duncan Anderson was driving his Lamborghini along the road, ready to go on a date.

As his hands rested on the steering wheel, he felt agitated.

This date was different from his previous blind dates, for the person he was about to meet this time was special.

"I haven't seen Florrie since I graduated. I wonder how she's doing."

Duncan glanced at a photo on his phone, feeling melancholic.

The woman he was referring to was his ex-girlfriend.

When they graduated from high school, they had to go to different universities in different cities. They couldn't accept having a long distance relationship, so they decided to break up.

Duncan still vividly remembered the day they broke up and the promise they made.

They agreed to meet again once they had successful careers in the future.

As he thought of their agreement, Duncan stared at his designer suit and expensive watch, laughing at himself.

"Shame on me!"

He felt humiliated of his fancy garments, the expensive watch he was wearing, and even the car he was driving.

That was because none of them belonged to him.

They were all rented.

It cost him two months' worth of salary just to rent them!

When that thought crossed his mind, Duncan recalled his experiences after graduation.

Back then, he found a good job.

He had a fair bit of career success through two years of hard work. But sadly, the good times didn't last long.

He happened to run into a junior manager harassing a young female staffer.

Duncan's moral compass compelled him to chastise the junior manager. This ended up humiliating that man to the entire company.

To his surprise, that junior manager was actually the CEO's son.

Since Duncan had offended him, no good would certainly come of it.

Later on, the CEO commanded the other managers to make things difficult for Duncan. Oftentimes, he would work overtime and all the harder tasks would be given to him.

Finally, he couldn't stand it any longer and resigned.

During the past three years after the resignation, he had worked for at least eight companies.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't have any connections or good luck. He couldn't get a promotion or a job that paid well. All he earned per month was around several grand.

But Duncan was independent and persistent. Even though his salary wasn't that high, he would work part-time during his spare time. Therefore, he was able to make a living in Ulgow, albeit barely.

He had spent most of his time working and making money, so he hadn't gotten married yet.

His parents were really worried about him, so they arranged several blind dates for him.

But Duncan had no car, no house, and no savings. It was hard for him to find a suitable girl.

Thus, all of his blind dates had been total failures.

Gradually, Duncan accepted the reality and lost all hope on blind dates.

"After this one, I must tell Mom not to arrange any for me again. It's perfectly okay if I don't get married in my thirties!"

While driving, he thought of how he would convince his mother later on.

All of a sudden, he heard a robotic voice.

"A suitable master has been detected. His information is currently being downloaded into the system."

"Eh? What's the sound?"

Startled by the voice, Duncan quickly looked around the car.

However, he couldn't find anything.

"Were my ears deceiving me?"

It was then that he looked out the window, wondering if the sound came from the outside.

The following moment, he heard the robotic voice again.

"Download completed. The information has been registered into the system!"

"System? What system?"

This time, Duncan heard it clearly and it shocked him.

He didn't expect that something this strange and mysterious would happen to him.

"Congratulations, master. Your information has been successfully registered into the Invincible Rich System. Through this system, you'll be capable of anything!"

"Wait... what? Invincible Rich System? Am I being pranked or something?"

After the initial shock, Duncan was in disbelief. After all, this whole thing was too ridiculous to be true.

He even suspected that the whole thing was designed by the car leasing company.

"This system is absolutely reliable! If you do not believe me, you can try to complete a newbie quest. And once you finish it, the system will reward you for your time,"

the AI responded.

Duncan wanted to give it a try, so he asked, "What's a newbie quest?"

"Today's newbie quest is: if you successfully humiliate a woman, you will receive a reward corresponding to that woman's occupation. This task can be repeated three times today!"

the AI replied right after Duncan finished his question.

"You want me to humiliate a woman?"

Upon hearing about the task, Duncan was stupefied.

'Why would I humiliate someone for no reason?'

he thought, feeling conflicted.

The next moment, he remembered how his past blind dates had gone.

Every scene of how those women humiliated him replayed in his head.

And because of that, all the accumulated resentment in his heart surged through his body.

After a moment of pondering, Duncan muttered, "Well, humiliating someone is a piece of cake for me! I've been humiliated so many times, so I'm quite familiar with the process."

Once he had made up his mind, Duncan decided to find someone he could humiliate to try it.

He then took out his phone and sent his mother a message.

"You mentioned yesterday that Mrs. Holmes' daughter wanted to date me. I'm free now. Can you help me ask if she's available right now?"

Even though Duncan had a date with Florrie at a cafe today, it was still early, so there was no rush.

He planned to check out this system first before meeting her.

The reason why he didn't want to use Florrie as guinea pig for his system was because he still had feelings for her. If it were possible, he would do everything he could to avoid hurting her.

His mother, Reba Welch, sent him a message right away. "I've asked. She is free right now. But she's at home and asked you to pick her up."

After that, Reba sent the girl's address to Duncan.

Once he had turned on the navigation system, he replied, "Got it. Be right there."

Chapter 2 A Bad Girl

As soon as Duncan sent the message, Reba called him.

He answered the phone without even hesitating.

"Son, listen to me. Although Sharon divorced and kind of has a bad reputation, her mother told me that Sharon has changed now, so don't be prejudiced against her!"

Reba paused for a moment before she continued in a hesitant tone, "I also talked to her the last time I saw her. And I can tell that she is really serious about getting remarried. She will be a good wife, and won't go goofing around anymore."

Actually, Reba had already told Duncan about Sharon Holmes.

Hence, he already knew what kind of a woman Sharon was.

To rise up the ladder at work, she had an affair with her boss.

So she got divorced because of that.

Apart from the divorce, Duncan also knew that Sharon had dated more than a dozen men. Moreover, she was a heavy drinker and smoker.

Putting it all together, she had a bad reputation.

Now, she had agreed to go on a blind date with Duncan, because Reba had promised her that if she married him, then she could be the owner of half of his assets.

She also wanted to be in control of Duncan's salary.

After learning about her information and her requirements, not only did he not want to go on a blind date with her, he also did not want to have anything to do with her.

But since the system had assigned him the task now, she could be the perfect target.

"Listen to me. Don't be so picky. After all, you are not..."

Reba's endless persuasion came to his ears.

And that made him more annoyed.

He wondered if she thought of him as a lousy man to want such a woman as his wife.

"All right, mom. I know. I'm driving. I will talk to you later."

Before Reba could say another word, he hung up the phone.

"You brat! How dare you hang up on me?"

Reba sent him a text.

Duncan saw it, but didn't reply.

"Here's Sharon's phone number. Call her when you arrive there."

Reba forwarded a contact to him.

Looking at the phone number, Duncan shook his head with a smile. "Well, let's do good and punish her on behalf of her ex-husband and her ex-boyfriends."

Soon, Duncan arrived at her house in his Lamborghini.

It was a middle-class community, and just by looking around, he could tell that her family was not wealthy.

After parking the car, he called her. "Hello, I'm downstairs. Come quickly."

Sharon asked lazily, "Is the red Lamborghini downstairs yours?"

Duncan replied in a calm voice, "Yes."

Hearing that, Sharon said in an excited tone, "Alright, I am coming down now!"

A faint smile appeared on Duncan's lips.

He had been on so many blind dates, and he knew exactly the tricks of those women.

The reason Sharon had asked him to pick her up was because she wanted to find out if he had a car, and if he did, then what kind of a car it was.

"It's all tricks!"

Duncan hung up, sneering.

After a long while, Sharon appeared, wearing heavy makeup and designer clothes. She stood out among the people in her community.

"Sorry to have kept you waiting."

Saying that with a smug smile, she got in the car.

"It's okay. I didn't wait long."

Duncan smiled.

"Since we are here for a blind date, I'll be honest with you,"

Sharon said with a smile, glancing at him.

"If you have anything to ask me, go ahead." He smiled with confidence.

She put her index finger on her lower lip, looked at the car interior carefully, and asked, "Is this really your car?"

"Yes. It's the latest Lamborghini. I bought it just this year!"

Duncan lied with a straight face.

"But my mother told me that you... you don't have a lot of money,"

Sharon said with a serious look.

Clearly, she was suspicious as to whether he really owned the car or not.

Duncan pursed his lips, looking at her.

It was evident that her mother Jolie Holmes had told her about his situation.

He had expected it, so he didn't falter.

"I have made a lot of money lately, I'm better off now."

After saying that, Duncan immediately thought of the system. It seemed that he was not lying, after all.

Sharon nodded with a faint smile, and he could not tell if she believed him or not.

"Then do you have a house now?" she asked after thinking for a while.

"Not yet but I'm going to buy a fully furnished house in the city soon..." Duncan said, feigning to be embarrassed.

"Are you going to put my name on the property ownership certificate, then?" Sharon asked immediately.

"If we are going to get married, then sure!" Duncan nodded with a smile.

Sharon could not hide her delight when she heard that.

She stared at him and asked the last question on her mind, "How much money do you have in your account?"

"I have..."

Duncan motioned his hand, suggesting a seven-digit number while ogling her.

"Wow!"

Sharon gasped.

It took her a few seconds to calm down.

However, the greed in her eyes was so obvious.

She then said with a coy smile, "Well... I think that we should get to know about each other deeply!"

Her emphasis on the word 'deeply', made the hidden meaning more evident.

Duncan couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

As long as he was rich, he could get a girlfriend. That was the life of wealthy men.

Back then, even if he had promised to put his date's name in the property ownership certificate, no one had wanted to marry him.

Chapter 3 Meet Florrie

When that thought crossed his mind, Duncan shook his head, feeling a little sad.

He then glanced at Sharon with a complicated expression on his face. He clicked his tongue and asked, "Why don't you ask me?"

"Huh? Ask you? What else should I ask you?" Sharon was stunned.

"Ask me about my opinion of you! I want to know some stuff about you." After a brief pause, Duncan continued, "Like how much you earn in a month. Do you have a house, a car, or any savings? I want to know some basic information about you."

"I've just found a job, around two grand a month. And as for the house and the car... I don't have either of that yet."

It seemed that she didn't expect that Duncan would talk about this touchy subject right away. She shook her head, visibly displeased and shaken.

"If you don't have any of that, then what do you have? What can you offer?"

The smile on Duncan's face faded when he asked the question that he had been asked countless times.

For a moment, Sharon was hesitant to speak. She then pointed at her face and forced a smile. "Can't you see my face? I... I'm pretty!"

"Are you saying that all you can provide when we get married is your pretty face?" Duncan said listlessly.

"What are you implying?" Sharon locked eyes with him. She didn't expect that he would turn against her this early in the date.

Ignoring her question, Duncan continued, "You have nothing, and yet you want to marry a rich, handsome man?"

"You!" Sharon was infuriated.

Duncan sneered at her. It looked like he was going to vent all of his frustrations from previous blind dates on this woman. "Do you think you're even worthy of a man like that? How thick-skinned you are!"

"Darn it! What the fuck did you just say? This is outrageous!"

Duncan ignored her response yet again, and opened the car door through the car's control system.

Then, he pointed outside and said, "Get out of my car!"

"Argh! You asshole!" The woman's face turned livid.

"What? Do you want me to throw you a going-away party or something?" Duncan asked, glaring at her.

"Humph! Whatever!"

Just as Duncan had expected, she didn't pester him anymore. She grabbed her purse and left the car.

"God, that felt good! An awful woman like that deserves to be taught a lesson!"

Duncan was delighted to see how upset that woman was when he said all those things to her.

"Congratulations! You have successfully humiliated an intern car show model. The system will reward you with a limited edition Maybach 62S worth fourteen million dollars!"

"Wait... are you serious?"

Duncan was shocked to hear it.

He had heard of the limited edition Maybach 62S.

It was well-renowned because it was the car of the richest man in the country!

There were only twenty-four of this limited edition car in the entire country.

Duncan didn't expect that he'd be rewarded with a luxury car of the same model as the richest man in the country just by humiliating a woman.

If this were actually true, it was all happening so fast.

Before Duncan could compose himself, his phone rang.

"Excuse me, is that Mr. Duncan Anderson?" asked a strange man's voice over the phone.

Duncan was confused by the question. "Yes, this is him. Who is that?"

"This is Moss Aston, the general manager of the dealership of Maybach. Sorry to bother you, but I'm calling to ask you when you're free to fetch the limited edition Maybach 62S."

'Oh, my God! The system was not lying!'

"Wait... you mean I can just go there and get it? Do I need to follow any other procedures? Are there any service charges that I have to pay?"

Duncan cautiously asked after calming himself down.

"All the procedures have been accomplished for you, and you don't need to pay any fees, sir! You can come to the dealership and get the car at any time," Moss said respectfully.

Upon hearing Moss's response, most of Duncan's doubts disappeared.

"I see. I'll call you back once I have the time."

"Got it, sir. I'm always on call, so please feel free to contact me anytime."

After the phone call, Duncan pinched his own thigh.

"God damn it! That hurts! So... it's not a dream. This is all true!"

Upon realizing that this was all really happening, he was so excited that he almost jumped up.

But he soon calmed himself down.

After all, he hadn't seen the car yet. Only after he got the key of the car could he confirm that the system was legit or not.

After pondering on it, Duncan decided that he wanted to get the car immediately.

But then, he glanced at his watch and found that it was almost time for his date with Florrie.

He was conflicted for a moment, but eventually decided to meet up with Florrie first.

Thus, he drove his rented Lamborghini to the appointed cafe.

Outside the cafe, he saw Florrie through the transparent window sitting at the table he had reserved for them.

She was wearing a white strapless dress today, and her bushy hair covered her shoulders.

Florrie was almost in her thirties, but she looked as vigorous and as youthful as ever.

When Duncan saw her, he was shocked.

He didn't expect that after all these years, she still looked drop dead gorgeous. Moreover, her beauty had evolved. She now looked more mature and charming; qualities that she didn't have before.

Sadly, this reminded Duncan of his own appearance.

He had been busy with his life these past few years, so he never had any spare time to care about his looks.

Hard work had aged him very considerably and made him look older than his age.

Even though he was well-dressed today, the dejection on his face couldn't be concealed.

He remembered how handsome he was back in high school, but now he looked awful. Duncan felt sad about his appearance.

After letting out a sigh, he prepared himself to step into the cafe.

But he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

It was because he saw a flamboyant man sitting next to Florrie.

And instead of keeping her distance from this man, she was chatting with him so intimately and even patted him on the shoulder from time to time.

'They're so close together. Are they a couple?

Isn't Florrie supposed to be here for our date? Why did she bring a man with her?

Did she bring her boyfriend just to humiliate me?'

At this moment, various thoughts occurred to Duncan.

After a moment of contemplation, he frowned and shook his head.

He hoped that he was just overthinking things.

After hesitating for a long time, Duncan finally entered the cafe and went to the reserved table, wearing an inscrutable look.

"Sorry, I'm late."

Having said that, he pulled the chair across Florrie and sat down cross-legged.

"It's okay. You're not late. We've just arrived ourselves," she replied.

She then leaned against the man's shoulder, glancing at Duncan with an inexplicable expression and a smile on her face.
