Chapter 1 Visionary leader

Secretly A Quadrillionaire Boss

Welbeck woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside his bedroom window. He yawned and rubbed his eyes, trying to remember what had happened the previous night. As he got out of bed, he noticed that his fiancé, Keira, was already awake and sitting at their dining table.

"Good morning, Em," Welbeck greeted her hesitantly. "I had the weirdest dream last night. Do you want to hear about it?"

"Of course I do," Keira replied, smiling encouragingly.

Welbeck took a seat next to her and started to recount his dream. In it, he was walking through a forest when he suddenly came across a group of animals.

They had gathered around a large tree and were staring at a small bird that had fallen out of its nest. Welbeck tried to help the bird, but the animals warned him not to touch it, as it was cursed.

He knew what he wanted to say but he changed the dream and made a smart view of what he experienced in his journey to the village.

As he finished telling the story, Welbeck looked at Keira expectantly. She blinked at him in confusion before asking, "Okay, but what about your sleep? Did you sleep well last night?"

Welbeck paused, surprised. "Uh, yeah. I think so. Why?"

Keira rolled her eyes playfully. "You always tell me about your dreams, but you never mention how well you slept. I just wanted to make sure you got a good night's rest."

Welbeck laughed, realizing that she was right. "Thanks for looking out for me, Em. And yeah, I slept well. I don't remember waking up at all."

Keira smiled satisfied and leaned over to kiss him. "I'm glad to hear it. Now, how about we make some breakfast?

Keira cut him short and came back in the next 30 minutes with dishes served on a tray.

"The espresso suddenly tastes more bitter than it already was".

Welbeck said and he continued to sip it.

After another sip on the mug, his gaze focused on a particular spot, and he placed it down on the table.

His eyes burned with unshed tears, and he bent his head low. Although he was confident that he was well disguised, a part of him couldn't help but feel unsettled.

He had been seated at a lone table, at the far end of the dining table, watching, and observing as much as he could.

His throat itches, and with tightly clenched fists, he restrained himself from taking another sip of his espresso.

"It'd be my sixth cup yet, and I am not satisfied. I needed caffeine".

He screamed out.

Seated a few tables from him, was the very one person Welbeck had been spying on for days. From his spa sessions to his gym routines, he followed him all the way. Without his knowledge of course.

At that moment, he was having a blind date with a renowned writer. For whatever reason, they chose a modest cafe to meet up. Although she was putting on a sunshade, he could tell who she was. And that was because he knew every one of his schedules.

Their light laughter floated over the table, and a numb feeling crept around his heart.

Welbeck sniffed, and turned away, wondering why he was reacting the way he was.

Wondering why for the past six years, he didn't want to witness any intimacy from his gender, towards him. Wondering why he was attracted to the old man that always passes by.

He knew what he could offer to him one day and that was what he had gained.

He was going to be a quadrillionaire in disguise and he had reasons for keeping it a secret.

Keira looks at his fiance's face in shock, he has been murmuring words to himself which she can't tell what it could be.

"It's everything okay babe?"

Keira asked, still positioned her eyes on his.

With a smile and chuckles, Welbeck told her to calm down and concentrate on her meal.

"I was just thinking about how I can meet up with your family as we discussed the other time".

He lied.

Keira took a deep breath and continued to eat her food whilst Welbeck grins and continues with his.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Welbeck opens his eyes from his nap, he feels a dampness in the air and hears the distant sound of church bells tolling. He sits up and looks around, finding himself in a small, dimly lit room with stone walls and a straw mattress on the floor. A small window is set high in the wall, letting in a faint light. He feels disoriented and cannot remember how he got here.
He stood up and inspected the room, finding a small wooden door on one wall with a metal keyhole. The door is locked, and he has no idea where the key might be. He realizes that he needs to find a way out of this room and explore this strange place.
Just as he was about to get to the door, he heard his name mentioned in the dream.
"Welbeck, "Welbeck".
The voice echoed and he paused.
As he tries to turn back, he feels a pat on his back, he turns and finds out it's Keira.
He woke up in shock and gave out a terrible scream.
It was just another night in the concrete jungle, filled with the hustle and bustle of city life. The air was thick with the scent of street food and cigarette smoke, and the neon lights of the city buildings illuminated the night sky.
Welbeck made his way down the busy street, he couldn't help but notice a suspicious-looking figure lurking in the shadows. He had a shifty, hooded gaze and wore baggy clothing that concealed his features.
He slowed my pace, trying not to draw his attention, but his curiosity got the better of him. He turned around and saw that someone with a mask was following him. His heart raced with a mixture of fear and excitement.
Suddenly, he stepped out from the shadows and revealed himself. "Hey," he said softly, extending his hand. "I'm anonymous. What's your name?"
Welbeck said .
The man laughed and looked at him.
Welbeck hesitated for a moment but eventually introduced himself. The man had a friendly demeanor and a charming smile that put him at ease. We started talking and he shared stories about his life in the city. He had grown up on the streets but had managed to turn his life around through hard work and determination.
As the night drew on, he felt a connection with the old man that he couldn't explain. They ended up at a rooftop bar, overlooking the city skyline. They ordered both drinks, and they continued talking until the early hours of the morning.
He knew that their time together was fleeting and that the realities of the city would soon pull them apart. But for that one night, they shared a bond that transcended the chaos of urban life.
He knew it was one of the people he recently went on a tour with and met in the secret room.
It seems it was time for him to explore his wealth. The strange dreams and people he met spoke volumes about it...
He signs and thinks about how he can secretly access his wealth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As the sun began to set and the sky was painted with a warm orange glow, Welbeck stood at the altar, his heart beating with excitement and nerves. His beautiful fiancee stood before him, her eyes sparkling with happiness and love.

Finally, the moment was going to arrive, and they would say their vows, and exchange rings. They would become husband and wife.

As they step out of the chapel, a gleaming limousine will await them, ready to whisk them away to their new home. Welbeck's inheritance would allow him to purchase a grand mansion, a place fit for a king and queen.

He was going to drive up the long driveway, the house came into view, and he couldn't contain his excitement. He had dreamt of this day for years, and now it was finally going to become a reality.

The butler would greet them at the door, welcoming them to their new home. The house would be even more stunning than he had imagined, with ornate chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, marble floors, and exquisite furnishings.

Welbeck gasped in delight as he explored his room, from the grand foyer to the sprawling gardens. Welbeck could tell that this was going to be the start of an incredible new chapter in his life.

He settled into his armchair, Welbeck felt like the luckiest man in the world. He had a beautiful girlfriend, a perfect home, and everything he could ever want. The future seemed bright, and he couldn't wait to see what adventures lay ahead.

As a quadrillionaire, his wealth and success are a reflection of his hard work and vision. However, his fortune also comes with a great responsibility to use his resources for the betterment of society. Generosity is a key element to cultivating a life of purpose and fulfillment. Welbeck was going to be generous and help others as he loved his family.

Giving back to the community was more than just donating money. It's about finding ways to improve the lives of those around him.

Education and healthcare are essential to the development of communities worldwide. Investing in these areas was not only a way to make a tangible impact but also a way for him to share his expertise and knowledge with others.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of giving was being able to support causes that align with his values.

Whether it's supporting research initiatives, promoting social justice, or funding environmental conservation efforts, his generosity could be a powerful force for good.

Welbeck ambitions were clear and about to be revealed.

Another way he wanted to make a positive impact was to support local businesses by investing in these enterprises. He was eager to help create jobs and stimulate economic growth. This was especially important in underserved communities where businesses struggle to get off the ground.

Welbeck's resources and connections could assist these businesses and help them thrive.

One of the best ways he could give back is through philanthropic initiatives. As a Quadrillionaire, h can drive social change. He could work with non-profit organizations and other philanthropic institutions to support their efforts to improve the lives of people worldwide

The next morning came quickly with the cold chills dancing in the air.

Welbeck wakes up early in the morning, feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep. As he stretches, he can already feel the excitement building in him for the day ahead. He gets out of bed and heads to the shower, eager to start his morning routine.

After a few minutes under the warm water, he steps out and wraps a towel around himself before heading to his closet. He flips through his neatly organized clothes and picks out a crisp white shirt and a pair of navy-blue dress pants. He carefully lays them on the bed and grabs a leather belt to complete the look.

As he dresses, he thinks about the important meeting he has later that day. He knows he needs to look his best, as he will be presenting his latest sales pitch to potential investors. He takes extra time to ensure that his shirt is perfectly ironed and his shoes are polished to a shine.

Finally, satisfied with his appearance, he heads downstairs to grab a quick breakfast and a cup of coffee. He checks his watch and realizes it's time to leave, so he grabs his briefcase and heads out the door, a confident smile on his face.

As he walks down the street towards his office, he feels a sense of pride in himself and the success he has achieved in his career. He knows that the hard work and dedication he has put in over the years have paid off, and today is just another step in his journey toward even greater success.

Chapter 2 Next frontier

As a young man, Welbeck never thought he'd end up marrying into the Smith family, the wealthiest family in the world. But after falling in love with their daughter, Keira, he found himself swept up in the world of the uber-rich.

At first, Welbeck struggled with the lavish lifestyle of the Arnault family. He came from humble beginnings and was uncomfortable with the idea of living a life of excess. But as Keira's fiancé, he soon found himself embracing their opulent lifestyle.

It wasn't until he started working for Keira's father, the powerful trillionaire Bernard Smith, that Welbeck truly realized just how much power and influence the Smith family had. As Bernard's right-hand man, Welbeck learned about the intricate workings of the family's vast empire.

At first, he was intimidated by Bernard's wealth and control. But as he gained more experience, he began to realize that the family's power wasn't just about money – it was about their ability to change the world for the better.

With Bernard's guidance, Welbeck became a driving force in the Smith family's philanthropic efforts. Together they tackled some of the world's most pressing issues, from poverty to climate change. Welbeck's expertise and knowledge helped the family make a lasting impact.

But with all the power and money came secrets. Welbeck soon discovered that the family had a dark side, with secret alliances and clandestine deals. As he delved deeper into the family's empire, he began to question whether he truly belonged in such a world.

In the end, it was going to be a tragedy that will force Welbeck to choose his place in the family. As he struggled to come to terms with the truth about his in-laws, he realized that his loyalty lay not with the family's wealth, but with Keira, the woman he loved.

With Keira's support, Welbeck made a decision that would change the Arnault family forever. He thought he would use his wealth and influence to fight for justice and equality, no matter the cost.

He was still persistent and not going to reveal his real identity as a Quadrillionaire to the family.

As Welbeck continued to make a name for himself in the philanthropic world, he began to think about what else he could do with his wealth and influence. He had already used his resources to fight poverty, climate change, and inequality, but he knew that there was so much more he could do.

He had a conversation with Keira about his next steps. He had been thinking about starting a foundation, one that could channel his wealth and philanthropic efforts in a more concentrated manner. Keira listened to him intently, nodding along as he spoke.

"That's a great idea, Welbeck," she said when he finished. "How can I help?"

Welbeck smiled at her. "I was hoping you'd ask."

Together, they set about building the foundation. They consulted with legal experts, philanthropy advisors, and nonprofit leaders to ensure that they were doing things the right way. They set up an office, hired staff, and began to develop a strategy.

The foundation focused on three main areas: education, healthcare, and the environment. Welbeck believed that these were three fundamental areas that affected everyone, no matter where they lived or who they were. He wanted to make sure that his efforts would have a lasting impact on people's lives.

Over time, the foundation grew in size and influence. It funded schools and universities, trained teachers and educators, and provided resources for students. It supported medical research and healthcare innovation and helped make healthcare more accessible to people around the world. And it invested in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and conservation efforts to protect the planet.

Welbeck was thrilled with the progress the foundation was making, but he knew that there was still more he could do. He began to think bigger, to imagine ways he could use his wealth and influence to make a difference on a global scale.

That's when he heard about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs were a set of 17 goals designed to address the world's most pressing challenges, from poverty and inequality to climate change and peace and justice. They were ambitious, but Welbeck was intrigued.

He began to study the SDGs in-depth, looking at ways he and his foundation could support them. He saw the goals as a roadmap for making the world a better place, and he wanted to do everything he could to help bring them to life.

Welbeck knew that the goals were too big for him to tackle alone. He needed partners, collaborators, and allies. And so he began to reach out to other philanthropists, investors, and entrepreneurs who shared his vision.

Together, they formed a coalition aimed at supporting the SDGs. They pooled their resources, their networks, and their expertise to create a powerful force for change. They worked with governments, NGOs, and communities around the world to support initiatives that aligned with the SDGs, focusing on areas like poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable development.

Over time, the coalition grew in size and influence. It became a leading voice in the philanthropic world, inspiring others to take action and make a difference. And as they worked, Welbeck couldn't help but feel proud of what they were accomplishing.

He knew that he had come a long way since his early days as a son-in-law struggling to prove himself in Keira's family. But he also knew that his journey wasn't over yet. There was still so much more he could do, so many more lives he could touch.

And with that thought, he rolled up his sleeves and got back to work.

The Next Frontier

As the years went by, Welbeck continued to make a difference in the world, using his wealth and influence to drive positive change wherever he could. He saw the foundation and the SDG coalition as just the beginning, and he was constantly searching for new ways to make an impact.

One day, he stumbled across an article about space exploration. It talked about how private companies were beginning to invest in space travel, and how it could potentially revolutionize the way we live and work. Welbeck was fascinated.

He began to research the topic in depth looking at the various space companies that were emerging, studying the science behind space travel, and exploring the potential benefits it could bring. He saw space as the next frontier, a place where human beings could expand their horizons and achieve things that were once thought impossible.

As he researched, he began to see opportunities for philanthropy. He realized that space exploration could be used to address some of the world's biggest challenges, from climate change to healthcare to education. And he saw a way to merge his passion for philanthropy with his newfound fascination with space.

Welbeck went public with his new vision, announcing that he was going to invest in space exploration in a big way. He reached out to the companies that were leading the charge, offering to support their efforts in any way he could.

At first, many people were skeptical. They saw it as a frivolous pursuit, a billionaire hobby that didn't address any real problems. But Welbeck was convinced that there was something more to it.

He began to meet with the leaders of these companies, learning about their goals and their strategies. He invested heavily in some of the most promising ones, providing funding for research and development, and even buying shares in some of them.

As the companies began to make progress, Welbeck's vision began to take shape. He saw the potential for space to be used as a platform for research and experimentation, for the development of new technologies and innovations that could benefit everyone.

One project that he became particularly interested in was the construction of a space station. He saw it as a way to bring people from all over the world together, to work collaboratively on the challenges that face our planet. He began to work with the companies leading the charge, offering to invest in the project and provide resources for the people working on it.

As the space station began to take shape, Welbeck watched in awe. He knew that it was just the beginning of what could be achieved. He imagined a future where people could travel easily to space, where new industries could be launched, and where humanity could begin to solve some of its most pressing problems.

But he also knew that there was a long road ahead. Space exploration was not without its risks and challenges. There were concerns about safety, funding, and impact on the environment.

Welbeck began to invest heavily in safety and environmental standards, working with the companies involved to make sure that they were doing everything they could to minimize the risks. He also worked closely with governments and NGOs to ensure that space exploration was being done responsibly and sustainably.

Over time, his efforts began to pay off. The companies involved in space exploration began to make significant breakthroughs, developing new technologies that could be used to address problems here on Earth. They began to work collaboratively with governments and NGOs, using space as a platform for research and experimentation.

And as the world watched in amazement, Welbeck smiled, knowing that he had played a small part in making it all happen. He knew that there was still so much more to do, so many more frontiers to explore.

But for now, he was content to watch his vision take shape, to see humanity reach for the stars in a way that was both inspiring and transformative. He knew that the future was a bright one, and he was excited to be a part of it.

The day was almost getting boring with a lot of tasks accomplished.

Welbeck decided to drive back to the house and have a rest.

Welbeck walked through the front door of his house and let out a deep sigh. He had just come back from work and was feeling exhausted. As he made his way to the couch, all he could think about was how great it was going to be to finally relax.

Welbeck had a stressful job as a financial analyst, and he had been working long hours for weeks on end. His body was tired, his mind was drained, and he just didn't have the energy to do anything.

As he sat down on the couch, he closed his eyes for a moment and just breathed in the silence. The only sound that he could hear was the ticking of the clock on the wall. He was finally home, his safe and sound place where he could take a break.

But as he opened his eyes, he noticed something odd: his home was in disarray. The coffee table was covered in papers, there were toys littering the floor, and dishes were piled up in the sink.

It was at that moment that Welbeck realized that although he was tired, he couldn't just ignore his responsibilities at home. As much as he wanted to just sit on the couch and relax, he knew he had to muster the energy to do some cleaning up.

Welbeck got up from the couch and started to tidy up. The more he worked, the more he began to feel a sense of accomplishment. His exhaustion slowly ebbed away, and he started to feel a sense of pride in how clean his home was becoming.

Welbeck felt renewed by the act of cleaning. He realized that sometimes, doing a little bit of work can slow one's energy. And as he sat down on the couch once again, this time with a clean and organized home around him, Welbeck finally allowed himself to truly relax.

He feels his nap and releases fuss heard in the day.

He was still going to have a meeting with the CEO about the frontier he was about to be replaced by.

Chapter 3 Meeting his in-law

Welbeck was a man in his early thirties, who was deeply in love with his girlfriend, Keira. They had been dating for two years and had finally

decided to take their relationship to the next level and get married.

Welbeck was excited about their upcoming wedding and couldn't stop talking about it. He would bring it up every time they sat down to eat, and he would go on and on about how he

wanted it to be the best day of their lives.

However, Keira was becoming increasingly

worried about the cost of the wedding. She knew that Welbeck had a good job, but she also knew that he had some debts and was struggling to save enough money for a lavish wedding.

Keira tried to talk to Welbeck about her concerns, buthe brushed them off, saying that he wanted to

give her the wedding of her dreams. He even started making plans for a destination wedding in a tropical paradise, which would cost a fortune.

Keira tried to explain to Welbeck that she didn't need an extravagant wedding to be happy. She just

wanted to be married to him and start their life together. But Welbeck was so caught up in his vision of the perfect wedding that he couldn't

see her point of view.

As the wedding planning continued, Keira became more and more anxious about the cost. She started to research cheaper options and suggested that they have a small, intimate wedding with just their close family and friends.

But Welbeck wasn't having it. He wanted the big wedding, with the fancy venue, the gourmet

food, and the extravagant decorations. He even started to get defensive when Keira brought up the cost, telling her that it was his money and he

could spend it however he wanted.

Keira felt like she was being ignored and that her opinions didn't matter. She loved Welbeck, but she didn't want to start their marriage with a huge amount of debt.

Eventually, Keira had to put her foot down. She told Welbeck that she couldn't go through with the

wedding if it meant starting their marriage in financial trouble. She wanted to be with him, but the wedding was becoming a source of stress and tension between them.

Welbeck was taken aback by her ultimatum. He had never realized how much the cost of the wedding was affecting her. He loved her and didn't want to lose her over something as trivial.

He knew there was a lot of money but his presence made them feel like he did not have much.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Welbeck was driving home from work on a beautiful summer afternoon. The sun was shining brightly, the birds were chirping, and the air smelled fresh and clean. He couldn't wait to get home and change into something more comfortable before meeting his in-laws. They were coming over for dinner, and Welbeck wanted everything to be perfect.
As Welbeck drove, his mind began to wander. He started to think about his in-laws and how he first met them. It was at a family gathering, and they had all hit it off immediately. Welbeck was grateful to have such wonderful in-laws, and he wanted to make sure they felt welcomed in his home.
As he approached his house, he noticed that his lawn needed to be mowed. He quickly parked his car in the garage and ran into the house to change clothes. After changing, he went right back outside to mow the lawn.
While he was mowing the lawn, he realized that he was running low on gas. He decided to drive to the gas station, which was a few blocks away, to fill up his tank. As he was driving down the street, he suddenly heard a loud noise. His car had hit something in the road, and he pulled over to inspect the damage.
To his dismay, he found that one of his tires had blown out. He quickly reached for his phone to call for help but realized that he had left it at home. Feeling frustrated and helpless, he didn't know what to do.
As he stood there on the side of the road, a friendly stranger pulled up and offered to help. The stranger introduced himself as Jake and he helped Welbeck change the tire. Welbeck was grateful for the stranger's assistance and thanked him before getting back on the road.
Welbeck finally made it home, feeling relieved that he didn't miss his in-laws' meeting. As soon as he walked in the door, he was hit with the delightful aroma of Keira's Cooking. Keira was in the kitchen, putting the finishing touches on a delicious meal.
The doorbell rang, and Welbeck quickly went to answer it. He opened the door to find one of his co-workers standing there, big smiles on their faces.
He hugged him warmly and congratulated him on his beautiful home and lawn. Welbeck smiled back, relieved that everything was finally falling into place.
The evening went smoothly, with everyone enjoying the delicious food and the lively conversation. At the end of the night, Anthony thanked him for a wonderful evening, and Welbeck knew that he had made a good impression.
He climbed into bed that afternoon tired but happy, Welbeck thought about how lucky he was to have such a fiance and he was eager to meet her parents.
However, he was grateful to the stranger who had helped him change his tire. He drifted off to have a nap, looking forward to many more pleasant evenings with his family.
He woke up later and refreshed himself.
Keira was already preparing herself to meet her parents with Welbeck.
Welbeck's Pov.
As we arrived at my fiance's parent's house, I couldn't help but feel nervous. Meeting the in-laws is always a nerve-wracking experience, but it's even more daunting when you're a son-in-law to a wealthy family.
As we entered the mansion, I was greeted by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Smith. They were both gracious and welcoming, and I immediately felt at ease. The Smiths were a warm and friendly couple, and they made me feel like a part of the family right from the start.
As we sat down to dinner, Bernard Bernard Smith began to ask me about my background and my career. I told him about my humble beginnings and how I had worked hard to build a successful business. He seemed impressed and offered me some advice on managing wealth and investing wisely.
As we continued talking, I began to understand the values that were important to the Andersons. They valued hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence, which was evident in everything they did. I could also see how much they cared about their family and community, and how important it was to them to use their wealth for good.
After dinner, Mrs. Bernard Smith invited us to see their art collection. As we walked through the gallery, I was blown away by the beauty and rarity of the pieces on display. It was clear that Bernard Smith had an appreciation for fine art and a deep understanding of its significance.
I had always been a hard-working man and had a steady job in a respectable company. I had provided well for my fiance. However, my mother-in-law, Mrs. Bernard Smith, was not thrilled with my style of dressing.
Whenever Mr. Bernard Smith tries to appreciate the way I am, she never fails to comment on my clothes. "Welbeck, aren't you going to change out of those old-fashioned jeans?" or "Why are you still wearing that ratty t-shirt?"
Mrs. Bernard Smith said.
At first, I tried to brush off her comments, thinking she was just being a typical critical mother-in-law. But as time went by, her comments began to get to me. I started to feel self-conscious and insecure about the way I dressed.
I asked Keira about it, and she simply shrugged her shoulders and said, "That's just how my mom is. She's always been snobby about appearances."
I tried to ignore Mrs. Bernard Smith's comment. I began to wonder if I should invest more in my wardrobe but that wasn't necessary.
Maybe I should buy a new suit or dress shoes.
I muttered to myself and shook my head in disdain.
"No, I have a reason for everything I do, it seems good with the way I've secretly lowered myself".
As I thought about it more, I realized he didn't care about impressing my mother-in-law. I loved his old jeans and T-shirts. They were comfortable, and casual, and reflected who I am.
I decided to stick to his usual wardrobe and not let Mrs. Smith's opinion of him affect him anymore. After all, I was a hardworking man who provided for my family and had a loving wife-to-be who accepted him for who he was. What more could he ask for?
As we left their house that evening, I felt grateful for the opportunity to meet such kind and generous people even though Mrs. Smith behaved differently toward me. I also felt a sense of relief knowing that Keira's parents approved of me and our relationship and I was willing to marry her.
"Take care, my daughter, I hope you feel comfortable with this man of yours".
Keira's mother said that but I pretended not to have heard what she said.
The words of the old man kept ringing in my ears so nothing was going to let me down.
A trillionaire as his husband was, she thought they had everything than anyone else in the world.
I gasped for breath and made my way off from the house as I walked straight to my car to my house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As Welbeck walked through the door of his apartment, he immediately felt exhausted. He couldn't put his finger on exactly why he felt so drained, but he assumed it had something to do with the visit he had just made to his fiance's parents' home.

It wasn't that Welbeck didn't love his fiance, Keira. She was the light of his life, the woman he had been waiting for his whole life. But her parents were a different story.

From the moment he had met them, Welbeck had the feeling that they didn't approve of him. They were quiet and distant, offering only tepid niceties and never really engaging him in conversation. It was painfully clear that they thought he wasn't good enough for their daughter.

Welbeck tried his best to make a good impression. He didn't dress in his suit or a bottle of expensive wine, but he made sure to listen attentively to everything they said. All seemed to fall flat, and by the time he left their house, he felt like he had failed miserably.

Now, as he collapsed onto the couch in his living room, Welbeck wondered how he was ever going to make it through the rest of his life with these people as his in-laws. He loved Keira more than anything in the world, but the thought of being constantly judged and scrutinized by her parents made him feel like he was suffocating.

As he lay there, lost in thought, Welbeck suddenly heard the sound of the front door opening. He sat up and saw Keira walking through the door, her face alight with happiness.

"Hey, you're sleeping!" she said, coming over to kiss him.

Welbeck smiled weakly and tried to muster up some enthusiasm. "Yeah, I'm back. How was your day?"

Keira launched into an excited speech about everything she had done that day, but Welbeck found it hard to pay attention. He felt like he was in a fog, unable to shake off the exhaustion that had settled over him.

And then, suddenly, he felt Keira's hand on his shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked, concern etched on her face.

Welbeck looked up at her, feeling helpless and vulnerable. "I don't know, Meg. I just feel so tired. I think it's your parents."

Keira looked at him for a long moment, and he could see the wheels turning in her head. And then, slowly, she smiled. "Well, you know what we should do, then?" she said. "We should go out and do something fun. Just the two of us. Forget about my parents and their nonsense."

Welbeck felt a faint glimmer of hope. "What do you have in mind?"

Keira grinned. "How about we go ice skating? There's a rink downtown that just opened up. We could grab some hot chocolate afterward."

Welbeck felt himself starting to smile. "That sounds great."

As they got ready to leave, Welbeck felt the exhaustion starting to lift. With Keira by his side, he felt like he could conquer anything. And even if her parents never accepted him, he knew that he had the most important thing of all: Keira's love.

Together, they stepped out into the cool winter night, ready to make new memories and forget all about the stress of the day.

Keira did not want Welbeck to remember what her Mom did to him but it seems he was still thinking about it.

Since he loved Welbeck, she was still going to do everything to keep her man.

She smiles and rests her head on his shoulder as they stand watch the stars in the sky.
