"Yeah," I nodded, panting hard. My fingers curled tight on the porcelain. "I can take anything you give me."
He laughed, but it sounded dark and rough. "That's my girl."
And then he slammed forward so deep I saw stars. I felt like I was being ripped open in the best way.
Damian grabbed my shoulders and yanked me back onto him. My core clenched around his shaft with every thrust, it was dripping wet and aching. My body was on fire. I should have felt shameful, the way I loved this, how I gave him everything without hesitation. But I didn't feel ashamed. Not yet anyway.
Then, suddenly, he pulled out. I whimpered at the loss.
"Turn around."
Before I could move, Damian spun me and pinned me against the glass shower wall. The cool surface shocked my spine, but I welcomed it. Hot water rained down, soaking us both. His dark silky hair plastered to his forehead and those hard muscle arms caged me in.
He grabbed my thigh and yanked my leg up, and then he entered me again, deeper this time... even more brutal.
I screamed, my nails dragging across his back. The stretch and burn made my head spin.
"Damn, you're tight," he murmured against my mouth. "You love this, don't you, Lila? Me taking you like this... owning you."
I nodded. "I love it." I felt dizzy.
He kissed me rough, all tongue and fire. And I pulled his hair, desperate to get closer. His shaft hit just right, making me shudder.
"You're mine," he said through clenched teeth. "Say it."
"I'm yours," I whispered. And I meant it, more than I should have.
But when his hand slid to my breast and squeezed hard... too hard, I cried out, flinching.
Damian stopped instantly.
"What the hell?" His voice had changed, it was sharp now. "You okay?"
I didn't answer at first. I just looked away, biting my lip hard. My heart was racing too fast, and a strange ache sat in my chest, not from pleasure.
"It hurts," I admitted, my voice was small. "My... my breasts. They're sore."
The truth was heavy on my tongue.
I didn't want to say it. Didn't want to ruin this moment, this heat. But he wasn't moving, he was just staring at me and waiting for me to say something.
"How long has this been going on?" Damian asked, pulling his hand back slightly.
I hesitated.
Then I said it.
"About a week." I swallowed hard. "I... I'm pregnant."
His eyes widened. Just for a second. Then they went cold.
He pulled away from my slick folds slowly, and stepped back under the falling water.
"Pregnant?" he repeated, reaching for a towel, and then he wrapped it around his waist. His jaw clenched as he turned toward the mirror. "You're joking."
"I'm not," I whispered, grabbing my robe and pulling it tight. "I found out last week. Mia gave me a test. It's real. I'm... I'm about a month along."
He said nothing. Just turned and walked out of the bathroom like I hadn't said a word.
"Damian!" I followed, my wet feet slapping against the marble floor. "Where are you going? We should talk about this."
He was already at the bar, pouring a drink. He downed it in one go, then poured another.
"You're not keeping it," he said flatly, not even looking at me.
I froze. "What?"
"You heard me." He finally looked at me. His eyes were hard. "You're getting rid of it. That thing is not screwing up our lives."
"Our lives?" I repeated, clenching my fists. "You're calling your baby a 'thing'? Are you even listening to yourself right now?"
He stayed silent.
"It's my body," I said. My voice rose. "My decision. You don't get to tell me what to do."
"You think you're ready for a kid? With me? At twenty-five?" He scoffed. "Be serious, Lila."
"Don't twist this like I'm being reckless," I snapped. "You never cared about protection. You didn't just want it raw, Damian... you demanded it."
"And what about those pills I got you?" His voice rose. "You were supposed to be on them. Or were they just for show?"
I flinched. "I stopped taking them. They made me sick."
I bit my lip and tried to calm myself. But I couldn't breathe.
Then I snapped before he could say anything. "Those pills were horrible! And I had to take them every single day!"
"Horrible, huh?" he said bitterly. "So you just stopped? Without telling me?"
I folded my arms and glared up at him.
"Maybe you should've used a damn condom instead of putting it all on me."
He let out a dry laugh. "So now it's my fault?"
"You think I wanted this to happen?" I shouted. "But I'm not getting rid of it because you don't want the responsibility."
He slammed the glass down on the counter. "Don't talk to me about responsibility!"
"Then tell me what this is really about!" I demanded. "Why are you acting like this? You're almost thirty, Damian. You run Holt Industries. You can handle this."
He said nothing.
"Why are you so afraid?" I asked quietly. "Why are you so desperate to erase this before it even starts?"
His face didn't change. But his voice did, it was quieter and darker.
"You don't know shit."
I blinked, the words hitting harder than they should.
I wiped the tears from my face quickly. "Then tell me. Help me understand why you're so cold right now."
Silence stretched between us. You could even hear a pin drop.
"You're not keeping it," he said again. Slower this time. "That's final."
My heart cracked. I was still trembling from everything. From the high of his touch to the low of his rejection. He had made me feel alive. Now he was making me feel invincible.
I stared at him, but my chest burned with anger now.
This wasn't the man I thought he was. Not my Damian. This one was colder and harder.
"Go to hell," I whispered, turning away.
But I hated how badly I still wanted him.
Even now.
But just as I was about to step out, he called me from behind.
"One more thing, Lila..." I stopped walking, but I didn't bother looking back at him. "You're fired. Don't come to the office tomorrow."
I spun around with my eyes wide. "What... what the fμck does that mean, Damian?"
I nearly choked to death.
Damian didn't even say another word. This time, he was the one who walked out, leaving me frozen there.
