Chapter 5 Dinning Hall

Cassie stepped into the dining hall and stopped dead in her tracks as her jaw dropped. Sunlight poured in through huge translucent windows, making everything in the hall sparkle. A giant chandelier dripping with what looked like a thousand tiny diamonds, hung from the ceiling casting rainbows everywhere.

It was a luxurious hall and she'd never seen anything so fancy in her life. It felt like walking into a dream. Seated at the head of the table was Lorenzo who was too preoccupied reading a news paper.

After the short lived incident thanks to Leonardo's intervention she was led to sit next to him.

Leonardo was beautiful, just like Lorenzo, he had a short blonde hair that was braided at each side and about an inch or two shorter than Lorenzo, what surprised her more was the fact that he was the CEO of LG networks, although he had never used his last name in public, it still came as a shock to her that he was a Giovanni, just how deep were the Giovanni's reach in the country?, she wondered.

She could feel Gianna dagger stares from across the table, it wasn't hard to decipher what her beef with her was, she was one of the long list of women who were infatuated with Lorenzo. Not that she could blame her, Lorenzo was a walking seductive machine.

"I see you have met Kai," Leonardo broke the silence with a smile, his gaze lingering a bit too long on her lips, "I'm Lorenzo's younger brother, while this is Gianna, our cousin," He introduced everyone at the table besides Lorenzo, not that the asshole needed an introduction anyway.

She didn't respond to him and instead began munching on her food.

"Tsk, don't you have no manners lowly human scum?," Gianna taunted with a dramatic eye roll

"I'm fucking hungry," Cassie replied with a frown, there it was again, why did Gianna refer to her as 'human' when she along with everyone present in here were humans?, or was she perhaps so spoiled and high up her ass as a Giovanni, she had genuinely come to believe the Giovanni family were above humans?,

"Tsk Narcissistic egoistical maniac," She mumbled to herself when Gianna slammed her fist angrily into the table cracking the glass.

"What the fuck did you call me human scum?," Cassie's eyes bulged in shock, there's no way Gianna should have heard her, it was barely a whisper, and what Is with her unbelievable strength?, she lowered her gaze to the cracked glass table.

"Relax little cousin," Leonardo told with a sigh, Gianna was a hot tempered pampered Giovanni, he never understood how Lorenzo could stand her presence, well it wasn't like his brother was far off being hot tempered and spoiled himself.

"I didn't say anything," Cassie denied

"Yeah she didn't say anything, so calm your tits Gia," Kai scoffed munching on a piece of meat

"She called me a narcissist," Gianna yelled like a child throwing tantrum, Cassie could tell Gianna was trying to get Lorenzo involved taking her side. Wait a minute.....Cassie frowned, how the hell did Gianna hear her whisper?, did she possess some sort of super hearing?

"Aren't we all?," Lorenzo finally spoke dropping the news paper and darting his beautiful emerald eyes to Gianna, "Aren't we all a little narcissistic and egositical, maybe with a glint of crazy, isn't that right Cassie?,"

She choked on her spit at Lorenzo's words, he was the farthest away from her, so how could he possibly hear her whispers?

"But Enzo," Gianna eyes watered at his words

"Take a seat and enjoy your meal Little Gia, if it isn't to your liking, you can sort it out with the chefs," He said turning his gaze to Cassie, he lowered his sights to the crook of her neck where the Cresent moon mark had formed. He had an unreadable expression as he turned his sights back to Leonardo.

"Any progress on the sites development?,"

"Yes, the investors are quite pleased with it's development, I presume it should completed and ready in a month or two," He replied and Lorenzo hummed in approval.

"Boss there's someone here to see you," One of his men walked into the hall with a deep bow.

"Who the fuck is it?," Kai asked knitting his brows as he got to his feet.

"He says he's police,"

"Let him in," Lorenzo waved his hands and the guard left for the door, "Everyone leave," Surprisingly there was no arguement, Leonardo, Kai and Gianna stood to their feet and walked off, Cassie about to stand was cut off by Lorenzo's words.

"You stay," Cassie could see the burning hatred from Gianna's gaze as she walked off, it looked like Lorenzo wasn't the only one she needed to be afraid off.

"Do not worry about Gianna, she wouldn't hurt you, you're safe," Lorenzo said taking a sip of wine

"Safe?, you killed my bestfriend, plan to kill my dad, and tried to rape me," She glared dangerously at him.

"Watch your tone Cassie, i would never kill you, but I wouldn't mind cutting your tongue If it keeps you quiet and respectful," Getting to his feet he walked over to Cassie whose heart beat paced like a cornered rat,

"Rape you?, I can see it in your eyes you are dying to fuck me," He grinned dangerously, she wanted to retort to his shameless words but kept quiet afraid he might really cut her tongue, "don't worry I don't think you're ready to take in my big cock just yet,"

"Mr Giovanni, sorry to disturb your breakfast," A middle aged man dressed in a cop uniform walked into the hall, he took off his cap and had a confused look as he stared at Cassie, from his look she could tell he recognised her.

"I..I thought she was dead, it has been difficult cleaning the mess you left behind last night Mr Giovanni,"

"Shit! Great it's just one of his fucking lackeys," Her heart sank, for a moment she thought he was a cop who came to her rescue, but it seemed he was just one of Lorenzo's dirty cop under his payroll.

"It's why I pay you Bradley," Lorenzo chuckled taking a seat,

"Can I take a seat," Mr Bradley asked kindly

"No, you stand," He said coldly making Cassie wince, gosh he was such an asshole,

"Now, to what do I owe the pleasure Chief detective Bradley?,"
