The air inside Liam's apartment was thick with unspoken words. Aurora's eyes scanned the room, searching for clues-anything that might trigger her lost memories.
Liam stood awkwardly by the window. "There's something you need to know," he said quietly. "I didn't want to tell you before... but you deserve the truth."
She took a shaky breath. "Please, Liam. I need to know everything."
He hesitated, then pulled out a small, worn notebook from his pocket. "This was yours. I found it after the accident."
Aurora took the notebook, fingers trembling. The pages were filled with hurried notes and sketches-fragments of thoughts, cryptic symbols, and names she barely recognized.
Her heart pounded. "What is this?"
Liam swallowed hard. "It's proof. Proof that someone's been watching you, tracking your every move. You were close to uncovering something dangerous."
Suddenly, a sharp noise from the hallway startled them both. Liam's face paled. "We're not alone."
Before Aurora could react, the door burst open. A shadowy figure stood there, face hidden in darkness.
"Leave her alone," Aiden's voice boomed from behind, as he stepped into the room, blocking the intruder.
Aurora's world spun faster than ever. The past she thought was gone was rushing back-and with it, the danger she couldn't escape.
