As I walked into the bar, I could see a woman drinking. She was sitting exactly at the place I used to. I go to the bar several days a week but this was the first time I was seeing her. I went there and sat next to her.
"Shall I get your regular, sir?" The barman asked me. I nodded and the barman got ready. The barman knew me, of course. I was a well-known customer there.
I turned towards the woman now. She was a beautiful one but I could sense she was sad just from the way she drank. I asked the barman to get her another drink, it was on me.
"Thank you for the drink," She muttered. Our eyes met and she seemed to be processing where she had seen my face. I was a popular public figure so she might know me.
"Do you know me?" I asked just to be safe.
"I'm not sure," She smiled at me. We didn't discuss after this. We drank in silence and then, I began to notice her stealing gazes at me. I didn't care at first but since I was interested in her, I took that as my opening.
"Do I look that charming?" I asked while focused on his drink. I could tell she was startled.
"I will stop staring!" She sighed afterwards.
Thinking I might have chased her off made me feel bad. I turned towards her, this time looking more interested.
"Are you okay?" I asked. "It's just because I'm curious."
"I'm not fine," She replied readily. "However, what's it to you? Just drink up and leave."
I smiled. It felt similar. My guess was that she was going through a heartbreak. I leaned in and focused on her.
"Perhaps, I was right," I said calmly, looking for attention.
"About what?" She was curious. She just got hooked.
"I once met a woman here. She just got divorced so she was drinking herself to stupor. Her husband was more like a beast but she was so madly in love with him that she mourned their separation..." I told her. "She was a victim of domestic abuse yet she still loved her abuser."
"Women are so foolish!" She shouted. That felt like she was talking to herself.
"Keep it down, Miss," The barman muttered. I turned towards him, giving him a disapproving stare.
"Shut it!" She shouted at him. "Why does everyone treat me as if I am a nuisance? Am I not a human being like you?"
She looked frustrated. She must be taking out her anger on the poor barman.
"Hey, calm down," I tried to console her. However, I had no words to say. That was when I realized that for several years, I had never consoled someone. Maybe it was because my life was sad enough.
"Do you think I'm noisy too?" She asked me, her eyes pleading.
"You're drunk, Miss. I will take you home," I offered. She pushed me away instead and burst into tears. She looked at me and picked my glass of alcohol. She grabbed it without my permission, gulping every single drop of it.
"Hey, why did you do that?" I asked, alarmed.
She smiled at me like a naughty kid and then passed out.
I wondered who she was. How could she get so drunk and fall in the arms of a stranger like me? Rousing her would be a hard job but I couldn't bear to leave her there as well. The barman stared at me.
"Are you going to pay her bill?" The barman asked carefully.
"Add it to mine," I replied. I tapped her gently, trying to rouse her. However, it was nearly impossible. She had no phone with her so there was no chance I could call a friend of hers. There was one last choice.
I took her to a hotel.
I had no shady intentions in doing this. It would be dangerous to let her roam free while she was in the state so I drove her to the nearest hotel. She sobered up a little on the ride so I only assisted her in walking so she wouldn't stumble and fall. I helped her into the hotel room and tucked her into bed properly.
"She looks beautiful..." I found myself muttering. I turned to leave but she held me back. I turned and she pulled me in. Our faces were only a few inches apart now. She wrapped her hands around my neck and I was unable to break free. What the hell was she doing?
"Hey... Let me go," I muttered.
"Didn't you bring me here for this? Why are you acting so innocently?" She asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked harmlessly.
"Acting as if you know nothing about this is cute but I don't fancy it..." She replied. Her lips touched mine as she kissed me wildly. She was obviously hungry for my touch. However, I remained unshaken or so I thought.
"I didn't bring you here for that reason," I said after our lips went apart. "Have a good night."
I turned to leave again but she held onto me, this time her clench was tighter. She sat up and when I looked at her, she gazed at me with seductive eyes. I could feel my dick halfway hard.
"I want you. Don't go," She muttered.
She held onto me, taking charge. I kissed her back and took control. Right before I could take her clothes off, I stared her. She looked wasted, honestly.
So I hesitated. I waited for a minute and she slept off.

My name is Julian Holland and I am a popular actor. I am the CEO of the biggest entertainment agency in London, Empire entertainment, and I am a billionaire in my own right. Unlike the several billionaires in London, I didn't become one by means of inheritance. In fact, I grew up as an orphan. I was abandoned as a baby and as for my parents, I never got to know them. I grew up in an orphanage and my journey to success and stardom was from scratch.
No connections, just talent and hard work!
I had a perfect public image that I had maintained all through my career. My reputation in the business had earned me several accolades but beneath the young and successful man that I was in public was a young man who hadn't healed from his sad past. A man still haunted by youthful heartbreak.
"Julian Holland!" Those were the first words I heard that morning. I wondered who was calling my full name and as I opened my eyes, I saw her, the woman I brought to the hotel last night.
Fuck it! She knew me.
