Chapter 5 Meeting Him

SUSAN'S POV

After taking care of my father and finishing all my chores, I prepared his favorite meal and went to his room to serve him at 12 p.m. I was glad to see my father awake and not dead.

"Good morning, Father." Are you prepared for breakfast?

"Yes, sweetheart," he said, "I am feeling much better now."

Naturally, I observed him eating on the bed... A lot was on my mind.

Fortunately, Isla had intervened, and the surgery proceeded without any complications.

Since he was still her husband, I questioned why my stepmother had treated him in such a manner.

She had obviously taken all the money out of his account.

Fortunately, I received a job offer and was scheduled to start work the next day.

As I prepared for my first day of work the following morning, I wore my finest attire-a straightforward gown that accentuated my figure.

I applied very little makeup and was pleased with my appearance when I looked in the mirror. And walked out of the room. I had to be on time. I had an 8am appointment. Towers in Lexington.

I arrived at my destination thirty minutes early and took a taxi. The generosity of the building before me astounded me. Every element of the interior exuded grandeur and wealth.

The receptionist welcomed me as soon as I entered the building.

"How may I help you, Ma? Good morning." ....

"Good morning. My name is Susan Brooks, and I'm here to start working as a personal assistant." I smiled as I said that.

"All right, ma'am. Go to the fifth floor via the lifts.

An official will guide you to your office and responsibilities.

"All right, thanks." I said so, then walked away.

I reached the fifth floor.

"Ma, good morning. Please, this way. A middle-aged man gave me instructions.

I entered an exquisitely designed office.

The interior design was excellent. "Ma'am, are you happy with your new office?"

"Yes, please," I replied, already enjoying my new position.

He went over the CEO's schedule, my new responsibilities, and everything I had to do.

"I want to make it clear, ma'am, that the CEO is a workaholic and does not tolerate tardiness."

Therefore, you must be effective.

Before he left, I shook his hand and said, "I swear to do everything in my power."

I settled into my office chair and enjoyed the lovely surroundings. I'm already feeling thankful for my new position. The bell rang. The CEO called out to me.

I came in after knocking. Greetings, sir. I was stunned to discover that my one-night stand was actually my boss.

I experienced a wide range of emotions. Greetings, sir. I made an effort to calm down, maybe by pretending that the one-night stand had never occurred.

"Your new personal assistant is me, Susan Brooks." I said, embarrassed.

He got up and observed me for a few minutes before he spoke.

"My name is David Lexington." He held out his hand to shake hands. That powerful pool of attraction was still there when I took it, as I felt a shock of electricity.

That night was magical, and I can still remember it.

"You called me, sir. What do you need?" I'm attempting to maintain a professional tone throughout the conversation.

First and foremost, you will refer to me as David rather than Sir.

I was unable to speak. I heard that, but I remained silent.

"Secondly, my staff had warned you that you would forget all job descriptions."

"Your sole responsibility is to be my woman.

I want you by my side constantly, and you would go to all meetings, events, and parties with me. "Yes, David." I finally found my voice and said, "Yes, David."

He was getting closer and closer to me, reducing the distance between us.

Like that night, I could feel the heat.

Why did this man make me feel this way?

He never took his eyes off of me. And I suppose he lost self-control.

His mouth slammed into mine. His lips were soft; his taste was sweeter, like strawberries, and my body reacted to his touch just as it had before I realised. I have erect nipples.

Before it could go any farther, he stopped.

"You can sit now, lady; lunch is at 2:00 pm," he said.

However, David. We aren't even dating, I said, having to decline.

"That evening was a...

I ceased speaking.

My thoughts were scattered as I sat down, but they were cut short by the exquisite gold and diamond furniture. His furnishings. His furnishings exuded a glamorous yet simple elegance.

In New York City, this man was unquestionably the wealthiest. The media and tabloids were not wrong about him. But why, I wondered, had his face never appeared on the TV? I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I eventually fell asleep. I couldn't help but observe him. He had a semi-divine appearance.

When I woke up, it was well after 2:00 pm, and I found him sitting next to me, having decided to clean up. With an angelic appearance, he took my hands in his, gazed intently into my eyes, and said

"Having you by my side makes me thrilled. I would love and protect you because you are my woman.

I made the decision to locate you using the CCTV footage. I'm happy I did. Susan Brooks, you are loved.

It's a fairytale to meet you, and I want it to never end.

I was already crying. I remained silent. I just gave him a tight hug.

At last, he kissed my forehead and said, "Let's go eat."

He took my hands in his, and we entered a fine dining establishment. The table was laden with various foods. The food melted in my mouth as I finished eating. It tasted good. He was stealing looks at me and barely touching his food, I noticed.

"Do you like it?" he asked.

"I adore it." Undoubtedly, this was the most memorable meal of my life.

He took me home after dinner. The drive home was pleasant, the conversation was pleasant, and he didn't act like my boss, which surprised me. He was familiar with my house and didn't need to ask for directions. He was funny, kind, and just like himself.

"It is no coincidence that I got a job in your company, right?" was the question that kept coming to mind.

"Yes, I did that," he replied with a smile.

"I instructed HR to send a letter of appointment as soon as I learned you were looking for a job. I warned every company against hiring you. My woman would never do anything.

His words made me blush.

"Glam up," he said, still holding my hands in his. "Tomorrow, I'll take you shopping."

We got to my house quickly.

"Ben?"

"Yes, sir."

"Give us some privacy."

"All right, sir, the driver got out."

With his hands in my hair and his lips slamming into mine with hunger, he ravished my lips. "I love you, and I meant every word when I said that," he whispered in my ear as he withdrew. I'll see you tomorrow.

Before leaving his limousine, I gave him a kiss in return. I watched him drive away before I went inside the house.
