Chapter 3 03

The Alpha's room was magnificent and luxurious. I kept staring around the room immediately Rhoda and I walked in.

At that time, Alpha Kyle wasn't in the room. Of course, he was at the feast celebration, and I was expected to sit and wait for him.

"Miss Weston... I mean, Rachel. You have to sit here, and wait for the Alpha." Rhoda said softly to me, and I nodded my head as she walked out of the room.

Thoughts kept running through my mind. I was so afraid... Who knows what Kyle would do to me when he comes back into the room?

Then, I thought of escaping, but that's absolutely pointless. At the entrance of the chamber, two bodyguards stood on the two sides of the door.

These people hate me so much. If I try to do anything suspicious, they'll definitely kill me, and lie to the Alpha that they were defending themselves.

"Dang! How do I get out of this? How do I get to see Avery?" I lamented as I sat on the couch beside the large bed.

My eyes went straight to the opened window, and my face beamed with a smile. I have to escape first, and then come back for Avery because I was very sure they wouldn't hurt her. She's not the daughter of their enemy... I am.

Without hesitation, I got up from the couch and walked straight to the window. It was wide open, but it wasn't a downstairs house.

A thought got into my head, and I quickly rushed to the bed and took out the bed cover. It was large, and I thought it would be of good use to me.

Immediately, I tied it to the edge of the window. I had it fastened as tight as I could and then said some silent prayers.

"They're all busy with the feast celebration. I bet the security will not be too much." I thought to myself.

Likewise, I climbed over the window, and gripped the bed cover as I climbed through it as gently as I could. Likewise, I just hoped that the bed cover wouldn't loosen from the edge of the window that I had tied it to.

Furthermore, I was halfway to the ground when the bed cover loosened, and I fell on the ground.

I almost let out a sob, but I quickly remembered that I was actually escaping, and shouldn't create a scene. I groaned quietly, and tried to stand up, but I couldn't.

My ankle was twisted, and I had no wolf. How would I escape from here when I can't even get up on my own?

After sobbing for a while, I managed to get up, but I was just limping. I need to get the hell out of this place before I get caught.

With that, I limped towards the gate, but there were bodyguards at the entrance. Even with the feast celebration, the security was still tight.

Then, I thought of climbing over the not too tall fence, but then again, my ankle was twisted. I just have to try... it's better to die trying, right?

Just when I was trying to climb the fence, I heard a cold voice behind me.

"Where do you think you're going?"

My heart sank, and I couldn't hold on anymore, so I fell again from the fence. My ankle was already twisted, and the fall seemed to have added to my pain. I winced in severe pain.

I managed to raise my eyes, and there was no other one but Alpha Kyle, glaring at me fiercely, and that made my heart race even faster.

"What do you take me for, Rachel? What makes you think that you can actually escape from me?" He asked with annoyance.

I opened my mouth to speak, but ended up closing my mouth again... I had absolutely nothing to say.

"Get up!" He ordered.

"I.... I can't. I..." I stuttered.

Without even letting me say another word, he quickly carried me up from the ground. I struggled to let him drop me, but even with all my struggles, he didn't bulge.

He walked into the mansion, still carrying me in a bridal style. All eyes were on me... I haven't felt this embarrassed in my entire life.

He got to the room, and walked in, then threw me carelessly on the bed. My heart was racing so fast at this point. The closer he came to the bed, the more I kept drawing backwards to the other side of the bed.

"Do you know why I brought you back here?" He asked with an expressionless voice.

I wanted to ignore him, but I just thought that would make him more furious. "No, I don't." I mumbled, but he heard me anyway.

"You've always liked me, haven't you? Isn't this what you've wanted?" He sounded sarcastic.

"Not anymore. All I feel for you is hatred. Not after what you've done." I spoke with so much passion.

That actually triggered him. "Liar!" He roared at me, and pounced on me, holding my two hands hostage.

"Kyle, let go of me." I struggled to get his grip free from my wrist because it was so tight.

"You do not get to call me by my name. I am your Alpha, and you should call me that. I am the law around here, and you have no choice than to obey me." He let go of one of my hands as he held my neck.

My hand reached for the fork on the side table of the bed, and I quickly grabbed it.

"I'd rather die than obey you." I groaned as I stuck the fork into his arm.

Letting off me, he held the fork that was still stuck on his left arm. Groaning in pain, he pulled the fork out of his arm, and blood stained his white shirt, while I was panting heavily.

Then a thought got into my head. "How could I be so thoughtless? Kyle is the Alpha. He'll definitely heal with his powerful wolf." I thought as I bit my lower lip hard.

His eyeballs turned red, and he grabbed my neck fiercely. "The only thing you obtained by doing that is getting me so mad."
