Chapter 3 Another Search

Alessia's POV

A wave of silence washed over us as the words left Luca's lips.

Slowly, my lips curved into a smirk.

Luca's eyes widened in shock. "I know that look, Donna! Don't you dare go in there! Don't you-argh!"

Before he could complete his words, I kicked him in the shin and ran towards the bar.

If Salvatore's third in command was here, then he could lead me to Salvatore-the devil himself. That would be like hitting a jackpot. And I-I wanted in on that

I pulled out a black shade and a black nose mask from my bag. Putting them on, I pushed through the bouncers. They already knew me, so they didn't bother stopping me.

The club wasn't packed-not like usual. I guess not everyone was as bold as me.

I looked around, searching for Salvatore's man. It was hard to tell who he would be since everyone was putting on black and black. But then, a figure caught my eye. Not just one, but two.

They were seated at the far end of the VIP lounge, with masks covering the lower part of their faces. Dancers were all around them-blocked by some guards-trying to get their attention. But they didn't care. It didn't matter to them.

It was like they were looking for something-or someone-in particular.

That was when it hit me-the green eyes. Salvatore's man must like ladies with green eyes. And since Luca had a thing for me, then he didn't want the Weirdo to have me.

I always thought Luca was just a gentleman around me. I didn't think he actually liked me.

I had to say, I still had it in me. Though I was in my late thirties, I guess I still had my teenage charm.

Now, I had to put it to work.

I took off the hoodie I had on, revealing what was beneath it.

I had worn black leather pants, the tight fit hugging every curve. A crimson satin corset that clung to me, its plunging neckline and laced front leaving little to the imagination. And the stilettos and a silver chain around my neck-perfect for a bold and confident look that made me irresistibly dangerous.

I knew wearing this as a doctor felt weird, but I had no choice. I got to learn the hard way that men always wanted something to give you something.

Luckily for me, I was smarter than they were. Apart from the mask that always hid my true identity, I also had a handkerchief covered in chloroform. That way, if things get out of hand, then I knock them out.

No one could mess with me, not even Salvatore's man.

I took off my shades as I walked towards the table. Both men looked bored like they wanted the world to swallow them whole.

The moment I approached them, a pair of brown eyes snapped towards me, widening a bit. It was like he was stunned to see me. I wasn't sure if he was the one I was looking for or the other one whose arms were folded in front of him, with his eyes shut and head down.

Either way, I had to get the job done.

The guards stopped me, just like the other girls. I was about to mutter something when I heard someone speak.

"Let her in," The brown-eyed guy instructed.

I watched him whisper into the ears of the other guy before I winked at the guards and walked in. My charm was paying off.

I was about to sit next to him when the other guy turned to me, his eyelids opening, revealing a pair of captivating silver eyes.

I tried to look away, but I couldn't. It was like he had me trapped in a spell.

"Sit," He said, his voice smooth as velvet.

It was like my body had a mind of its own. Before I knew it, I was next to him.

"Those eyes," He said, reaching out to touch mine. "I've been looking for them for a while."

His hand stopped, and then he pulled them back. Then his eyes moved to my bare neck.

He leaned in to sniff my neck when the other guy held him.

"Not here," He muttered.

The silver-eyed guy let out a sigh before locking eyes with me again.

"Would you like us to go somewhere more-" His eyes trailed around the club and then returned to mine. "-private?"

I smirked, though he couldn't see it.

"Yes," I giggled, trying to sound like a teenager.

He stood up and turned to me. I handed him my hand, but he just stared at it with disdain in his eyes and walked away.

Well, I didn't see that coming.

I followed him as he led me through a hallway and towards the Club's private rooms.

Suddenly, his legs buckled. I reached out to him, stopping him from hitting the floor.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Instead of saying anything, he pushed me away.

"I can't wait anymore," He whispered as he pushed me against the wall.

"What the..." Before I could react, he caged my hands together in one of his.

"Let me go!" I cried out. I tried to break free but I couldn't. His grip around my wrists was tight, and it was starting to hurt.

I heard a chuckle come from beneath his mask. "You remind me a lot like her."

He was about to take off his mask when I drove my knee into his balls.

His eyes widened as he let go of me, crouching over.

"I'm going to kill you," He growled in pain.

Yeah, right. Like I was going to stay and watch that happen.

I was about to run when he grabbed my hair and pulled me backward. I fell to the ground, my back colliding with the ground. My eyes spun as pain erupted all over me.

He climbed onto his eyes, filled with fury.

"Say hello to the devil for me."

He was about to take off his mask again when I pulled out the handkerchief from my back pocket.

I was about to cover his nose when suddenly, his eyes fluttered shut and he collapsed on my body.

He was unconscious.

Was it the chloroform or was he sick? I wasn't sure which it was, and I didn't care. I had to get out of here.

I pushed him off of me and was about to bolt away when something tugged at my heart-curiosity.

The bastard had tried to rape me in the hallway, and a part of me wanted to know who he was.

I stared at him as I slowly took off his mask.

But the moment it was off of him, my hands trembled.

"What the heck?!" I swore, my heart slamming against my ribcage.

I couldn't believe who it was.
