ETHAN's POV

ONE WEEK LATER

I was standing in front of my house talking to Nelly while looking out for Astrid.

"Sir, thank you for everything. No man has ever treated me the way you always do, sir."

I inhaled deeply and then looked at her. Such a pretty lady.

"Hey, you deserve everything and I should be grateful for you. You are a gem."

She smiled beautifully and then hugged me.

"We are in front of my house, Nelly.."

She broke the hug and bowed her head.

"I will be going now, sir. Take care of yourself."

"Make sure to use the pills when you get home, okay? Do not forget, please," I warned her.

"I will not, sir. I know the consequences."

I nodded and then waved at her. I fixed my tie then I walked into the house.

ASTRID's POV

I got back home and went straight to my children's room.

It was so much fun in Brenda's house even though I was alone most of the time.

"Astrid, it is Saturday. Are you okay?"

He held my hands and I followed behind him to the garden where I saw my children playing together.

They both screamed and I hugged them happily.

Now I feel like a bad mum. I let a boy slut me out when I had a daughter his age... or almost his age at least.

I took his briefcase and carefully opened It. I went through all the papers in there but I saw nothing. I looked again and found a receipt for $45,000. I looked through the receipt carefully and it was for a necklace.

A lady's necklace, but it was not in his bag.

If he bought a necklace for a lady, why wasn't it with him? Did he get it for Nelly?

There were two signatures on the receipt, so I figured that he got it for her.

I looked at him on the bed and tears rolled down my eyes.

Our 10th wedding anniversary was in 2 months, but I was not excited at all.

I felt bad for cheating on him, but he was not innocent at all. My knees grew weak and I just lay down on the bed looking up at the chandelier, and my mind raced back to Mateo.

I took my vibrator, entered the bathroom, and locked the door from behind.

1 MONTH LATER

I was in my office when I received a call from the hospital that my son, Jayden, got into a fight at his school, so I had to rush down there.

I moved close to them and dragged Jayden from Nelly's hands.

Ethan ran to the car and insisted on going with us, and I allowed him.

I drove us home and I stomped into the house.

I scolded Jayden and then sent him off to his room. Phoebe had gone over to Ethan's parent's house, so it was kind of quiet.

"Astrid, what was that behaviour you displayed in the school earlier? Nelly was only there.."

"For what? She was there for what, huh?!!! Ethan if you want a divorce then say it out.."

"Why would I ever want that? Come on! You are my wife.." He pleaded.

"Please, spare me all that!"

He held my shoulders and looked into my eyes.

"I love you a lot, I swear. It is almost our anniversary, and I promise you that is always the best time of my life. I love you so much, I swear."

I looked at his face and I just pushed his hands away.

"Let me take you out on a date tonight, please."

I was stunned and I stared at him.

A date?

"Please, do not say no, I beg of you, Astrid."

He kissed my lips and held me close to him. It was good but not as good as Mateo's.

Mateo was all over my head, his aggressive but sexy grabs. His little moans.

Someone knocked on the door and we broke the kiss.

He walked over to the door and then after about 10 minutes he walked back into the room and told me I had to meet someone.

"Who is that?"

"I got a new head bodyguard. He is really good according to a friend of mine."

I nodded and we walked outside together.

"Where is he?"

Ethan asked one of his guards.

"Here I am, sir."

I was stunned and felt my mouth and eyes go wide open.

"Babe, meet our new head bodyguard, Mateo. Mateo, this is my wife, Astrid."

"Hello, madam. Nice to meet you. I am Mateo."

I immediately fell to the floor.
