VICTORIA'S POV.
I got the news of Rowland's marriage to Cherry and I was angrier than I've ever been.
Rowland was the love of my life, and we promised to spend the rest of our lives together, but he broke up with me after meeting me and his friend in bed.
Now Cherry is here to take my place.
Impossible!
I must get my man back. He belongs to me and no one else.
I thought of what to do and how to go about the idea of sabotaging and frustrating her marriage. I decided to start by calling her with an unknown number.
"Hello, Cherry?" Victoria said, her voice sweet as honey.
"Please who's this?" Cherry asked, her voice very cautious, and she was shaking.
"I'm Anna. You may not know me, but I have some special information for you." I lied, my voice as calm as ever.
"Go ahead, please, I'm all ears," she responded almost immediately.
"I know you're married to Rowland, the popular CEO and also a celebrity. But the truth is that you're in grave danger. Leave Rowland, he's not good for you or choose to die in the marriage because he will kill you." I continued my lies.
"What are you talking about? Cherry asked, her voice laced with concern and worry"
And who......"
I hung up immediately and was very happy that I took the first step in getting Cherry out of that marriage.
Just then, my phone and it was Cherry. I crossed my legs, sat on a seat, and sipped my wine. I didn't pick up her call. She was insistent and after some missed calls, she stopped calling.
I just started.
Rowland is not just my ex-boyfriend but I work in his firm. I was his secretary before he asked me out, and we broke up. I'm still working in his company but not as his secretary again. Even as his ex, he only talks once in a blue only because I work in his firm
I waited for him outside to know when he would drive in so that I could congratulate him on his new wife and new home. I waited and waited, but he was not showing up, and I had a lot of files on my table.
As I was about to get back to work, he drove in.
"Good morning, Boss." I greeted, sounding so tense and afraid.
"Good morning," he said, walking straight to his office, and did not even turn in my direction.
I was walking fast despite my short legs to meet up with him because he was walking fast.
"I got the news of your marriage. Congratulations sir!. I'm sorry I didn't attend although you never invited me."I said, wearing all the masks of a good woman I can lay my hands on.
"Thank you," he said, putting on a lackadaisical attitude towards me.
He was about to enter his office when I stopped him.
"Excuse me, sir, give me one minute.' I requested.
"Please, I have something to tell you and ask you. Did you make any investigations before marrying the lady you got married to?"
"Why do you ask?" he snapped almost immediately.
"Because there's a dark side about her that you did not know. I've known her right from when we were children. Cherry is not who you think she is. She's a very bad girl and you don't deserve her." I lied, so clearly without any mistake.
I can see the change in the expression on his face.
"You're talking about another, Victoria, are you not a bad girl? A kettle that tells a pot that it is black. As a matter of fact, this is not your business, please mind your business and never stop me for this till the day you leave this company," he replied so coldly and entered his office.
I was so embarrassed and in pain the way I've never been before. I was surprised at his reaction.
Is it because it's coming from me?
Has the hatred he has for you gone this high? I thought and thought but there was no answer coming forth.
I decided not to give up but to be very persistent to get what I want.
I started thinking of what to do next to ensure I send Cherry packing and have Rowland all to myself, even though I know he now hates me.
Suddenly, an Idea dropped.
An acid.
I was going to use an acid on her to automatically condemn her, either she dies immediately, or her face and body become condemned for life.
Great Idea.
Whether Rowland likes it or not, he belongs to me and I am his rightful wife.
The next day, I woke up very early to go and get the acid first then start thinking of how to execute my plans.
"I want a bottle of acid," I said to the shop owner with so much boldness.
Acid? If you wouldn't mind, what do you want to use it for?" the shop owner asked.
My countenance changed immediately.
"You don't ask your customer that kind of question. Whatever I want to use it for is my business.
The Shop owner stared at me for a few seconds, and there was a brief silence between us.
"I'm sorry ma. The acid has finished. All of them have finished. Go to the next shop." he said and went back to his seat while I was still standing.
I know he was lying but I can't force him to sell if he did not want to.
