Chapter 3 The deal

Lorenzo's pov

"What did I say about being late?" I voiced out with a commanding tone.

"It's just a minute past the time we scheduled," Nico, the buyer uttered out.

"The fact remains that you are late, you know me well that I don't welcome lateness."

He cleared his throat. "I had to dodge my way here. The cops are on patrol around the street."

"Save your excuses."

Silence.

I took my lighter out and lit my cigarettes as I leaned on the wall of the old pharmacy. It's one of my secret hideouts where I run deals with my clients. It consists of dusty shelves and abandoned packaged boxes. The inner room where I usually use looked scattered compared to the front door of the pharmacy. The front space is arranged like a regular pharmacy. No one will know that I run such deals here.

Mateo, my right-hand man, stepped forward with a stack of plastic-wrapped packages. "You got the money?" Mateo asked, fixing a button on his suit while I stood looking at the Nico guy.

"Do you have the stuff?" Nico asked.

"Here it is," Mateo said, shaking the package in his hand.

"Give it to me while I hand over the money afterward," Nico said with a cunning look.

Mateo shifted the package backward. "You know how this works, money first before the package."

I brought out my gun and pointed it at Nico, "Bring the fucking money out, you are wasting my time."

Nico crouched to grab the bag in fear. Then unzipped it with shaky hands. Inside contains old newspapers, rolled bills around bricks of folded junk paper.

I stared.

"You think I'm stupid?" I said with a cold tone.

The buyer raised both hands, his voice shaky. "Relax dude, I just need till the weekend and I will get your money. I swear..."

"You won't make it till the weekend." I pointed my gun at him as I puffed out more smoke from my cigarettes.

"No."

"No?"

I moved closer to the buyer, the smoke curling from my lips. "You showed up late. Tried to hand me fake cash. Lied straight to my face. Giving me excuses."

The buyer went down on his knees, grabbing my legs. His face was wet with tears, his body covered with sweat. "Lorenzo, please," he begged, "I swear I don't mean..."

"Paaaa!"

The sound cracked through the room, sharp and final.

I shut him once in his head before he could finish what he was saying. "Let him keep the trash in his mouth for his ancestors." Blood splattered across the wall behind him as his body hit the floor with a thud.

Mateo didn't even blink.

"As usual, leave no trace," I said to Mateo.

"Yes boss."

"Hello, is anyone there?" Came a tiny voice, I could swear that the voice was angelic.

We stood at alert, pointing our guns in the direction of the voice.

Standing before us was a petite girl dressed in a nun's clothes. "Who dresses in those these days?" She stood frozen. Didn't flinch. Just stared at us.

I glanced at Mateo. "How the hell did she get in here?"

"The door wasn't closed properly," Mateo responded.

"Shit," I whispered. "And whose fault is that?"

"It's mine, boss," he said, bowing down.

"You will get your punishment when we get to Base," I fired out.

He didn't say anything more.

The unbelievable thing happened.

The petite lady walked up to me, "Why is he lying there in a pool of blood?"

I didn't answer I was just looking at her with a questioning look. She wasn't even afraid of the gun I was holding. She wasn't scared.

And that? That surprised me.

"Do you use that to kill him?" she questioned, pointing at the gun in my hand. "The cops will come and get you. You are a bad man."

She turned to walk away, but then paused.

Turned back.

She grabbed the cigarettes from my mouth, crushed them under her feet.

"You sinner! I cast away every demonic soul away from you," she prayed, hands stretched towards me like I was possessed.

"Father Lord, forgive this sinner so he can be at peace," she continued, eyes shut, voice shaking the room with holy fire.

I stood dumbfounded.

Mateo burst out laughing hard.

The look I gave him made him shut his rotten mouth up.

"Amen," the dramatic nun voiced as she completed her prayer. Opening her eyes with a ride as if she had just slain the devil himself.

Then, she walked out like nothing had happened. Like the floor wasn't littered with blood and death.

"Should I go after her boss?" Mateo asked.

I smirked.

"I want to see what she's got in store. Clean everything up. Bring down the camouflage."

"On it boss," Mateo responded.

I leaned by the door, took out another cigarette and lit it up, waiting for Miss Angel to come back with the cops.

Mateo got to work. He scrubbed every inch of blood off the floor, wiped all fingerprints from the scene, and wrapped the body like a birthday present nobody wanted. "No one will ever know that such activities happened here."

Mateo carried the wrapped body to the car in the old garage. No one used the garage again except me. So it's safe there.

Once everything was fine, he turned on the camouflage by pressing the switch. Everything changed to a normal vet pharmacy.

I yawned tirelessly. "I guessed she is not coming back. Maybe she is afraid and ran for her life."

But I was wrong.

She walked in with two uniformed cops in tow. She looked around and saw that everywhere was busy, unlike the previous scene she saw where everywhere was covered with blood. This time, she saw normal people buying pet medications.

Her eyes scabbed the place again, she was confused for a reason, but immediately her eyes met mine, she faced the cops, saying some words I couldn't hear while pointing a finger at me.

The cops walked up to me.

"Sorry to disturb you, sir," one of them said.

"We got a report about an unlawful killing happening here."

"I think you got the wrong address," I said to him.

"Wait, are you Mr Lorenzo? The Lorenzo? the wealthiest man in this city? You have a striking resemblance to him," the other cop asked, eyes wide like it's about to fall out.

"Yes, I am. You got a problem with that?"

"No, not at all, sir, it's an honor to meet you." They eagerly reached out to shake my hand.

I glanced at the nun, but the look on her face was one of fury. "She looks cute, though."

The dramatic Nun walked up to where we stood.

The cops turned to her, "Miss, you got it all wrong, it's all a misunderstanding."

"We will leave now, sir." They bowed respectfully and left.

I smirked and moved closer to her.

"Stay away, you sinner, or I'm going to kick you where the sun doesn't reach."

I chuckled, enjoying every show the lady was displaying.

I moved closer to her and I couldn't help but find her lips cute. Before I could stop myself, my lips were already on hers.

"Oh Lord of gun, she tasted so good."

Sweet.

Addictive.

She froze, stung by the kiss. I took advantage and deepened the kiss.

I kept kissing her lips.

"Haaa shit," I held my dick in pain.

The dramatic Nun just kicked me hard where it hurts the most.

She ran out like she hadn't committed a holy war on my balls.

I licked my lips, still smirking through the pain.
