Chapter 5 Clara's POV

CHAPTER 5

As the steps approached, Clara's heart sank. She pressed herself and her baby into the corner of the cellar, her eyes fixed on the growing sliver of light.

Robert's scent wafted in, a mix of winterstorm and firewood, and she felt her Omega instincts flaring in response.

The false wall creaked open, and Robert's figure filled the doorway. His eyes locked onto Clara, and a slow smile spread across his face. "Well, well, well," he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "Look what we have here."

Clara's grip on her baby tightened as Robert stepped into the cellar. His movements were deliberate, his eyes never leaving hers. Michael was nowhere to be seen, and Clara's anxiety spiked.

"Robert, please," she whispered, trying to keep her voice steady. "Leave us alone."

Robert chuckled, the sound low and menacing. "You think you can just leave me, Clara? You think you can just disappear and start a new life with my child?"

Clara's eyes flashed with anger, but she bit back her retort. She knew better than to provoke Robert when he was in this mood.

"I'm not going back to the pack," she said instead, trying to sound firm. "I'm not going to be your Omega again."

Robert's smile grew wider. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "You see, I have a few... persuasive methods at my disposal."

As he spoke, he reached out and grasped Clara's arm, pulling her toward him. She struggled, but his grip was like a vice. Her baby cried out in protest, and Clara's heart sank.

Just as Robert was about to drag Clara out of the cellar, a loud crash echoed through the room. The sound of breaking glass and crunching wood filled the air, followed by the growl of an angry wolf.

Robert's head snapped up, his eyes narrowing. "What the...?" he muttered, releasing Clara's arm.

Clara took advantage of the distraction to scramble backwards, her baby clutched tightly in her arms. She didn't know what was happening, but she knew she had to get out of there.

As she reached the back of the cellar, she heard Michael's voice, snarling and fierce. "Let her go, Robert. She's not yours anymore."

Hahaha

Look who's talking, you don't have any right to talk when I'm talking.

Robert's laughter echoed through the cellar, cold and menacing. "Oh, Michael. You really think you can protect her? I'll show you what happens to those who defy me."

The sound of snarling and growling grew louder, and Clara knew that Michael and Robert were fighting. She didn't know who was winning, but she knew she had to get out of there.

Clara pushed through the debris and made a run for the door. She burst out into the night air, her baby clutched tightly in her arms.

As she emerged into the darkness, she saw the two wolves locked in combat. Michael's grey fur was matted with blood, and Robert's black fur was snarled and twisted. They clashed and snarled, their jaws snapping wildly.

Clara's heart was racing as she watched the fight. She knew she had to get out of there, but she couldn't tear her eyes away from the two wolves.

Just as it seemed like Michael was gaining the upper hand, Robert landed a lucky blow, sending Michael crashing to the ground. Clara's heart sank as Robert pinned Michael down, his jaws open wide.

And then, everything went black.

When Clara came to, she was lying in a strange bed, her baby sleeping peacefully beside her. She sat up with a start, her heart racing.

Where was she? What had happened to Michael?

As she looked around the unfamiliar room, a figure stepped out of the shadows. It was a woman, tall and statuesque, with piercing green eyes.

"Welcome back," the woman said, her voice smooth as silk. "My name is Isabella. I'm Robert's Luna."

Clara's eyes narrowed. "What do you want?" she said, her anger and fear simmering just below the surface.

Isabella smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, Clara. You're so predictable. I want to make you a deal."

Clara's scepticism was evident on her face. "What kind of deal?" she asked warily.

And where is my baby

Ohhhhh

Your baby is okay, Don't worry.

Isabella leaned against the doorframe, her movements fluid and confident. "I'll help you escape from Robert," she said, her voice low and conspiratorial. "But in return, you have to do something for me."

Clara's eyes narrowed. "What do you want me to do?" she asked, her voice cautious.

Isabella's smile grew wider. "I want you to help me take down Robert," she said, her eyes glinting.

Clara's POV

I sat up with a start, my heart racing as I took in my surroundings. I was in a strange bed, with my baby sleeping peacefully beside me. Where was I? What had happened to Michael?

As I looked around the unfamiliar room, a figure stepped out of the shadows. It was a woman, tall and beautiful, with piercing green eyes.

"Welcome back," the woman said, her voice smooth as silk. "My name is Isabella. I'm Robert's Luna."

My instincts screamed at me to distrust her. I didn't know what she wanted, but I knew it couldn't be good.

"What do you want?" I said, trying to keep my anger in check.

Isabella smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, Clara. You're so predictable. I want to make you a deal."

I raised an eyebrow, sceptical. "What kind of deal?"

Isabella leaned against the doorframe, her movements fluid and confident. "I'll help you escape from Robert," she said, her voice low and conspiratorial. "But in return, you have to do something for me."

I narrowed my eyes. "What do you want me to do?"

Isabella's smile grew wider. "I want you to help me take down Robert," she said, her eyes glinting with determination.

I was taken aback. Take down Robert? How could I possibly do that?

Isabella's POV

I watched Clara's face, seeing the scepticism and fear written all over it. She didn't trust me, and why should she? I was Robert's Luna, after all.

But I knew Clara was the key to taking down Robert. She was the one person who could help me bring him down.

I smiled, trying to appear confident and reassuring. "Don't worry, Clara," I said. "I have a plan. And with your help, we can make it happen."

Clara looked at me warily, her eyes searching for any sign of deception. I knew I had to tread carefully. She was fragile, and I didn't want to scare her off.

But I was determined to take down Robert. He had been ruling our pack with an iron fist for too long, and it was time for a change.

Robert's POV

I stood outside the door, listening to the conversation between Clara and Isabella. My Luna was trying to manipulate Clara, to turn her against me.

I smiled to myself, feeling a sense of satisfaction. Isabella thought she could take me down? Ha! I was the Alpha, and no one could touch me.

But as I listened to their conversation, I realised that Clara was more resourceful than I had given her credit for. She was considering Isabella's proposal, weighing her options.

How dare she consider betraying me? I was the one who had marked her, who had claimed her as my own.

But as I listened, I realised that Clara was playing a clever game. She was pretending to consider Isabella's proposal, all the while gathering information.

I smiled to myself, feeling a sense of admiration for Clara's cunning. She was a worthy opponent, and I couldn't wait to see what she would do next.

As I turned to leave, I heard a noise behind me. I spun around, my heart racing.

And that's when I saw him. Michael, Clara's new lover. He was standing in the doorway, watching me with a fierce determination in his eyes.

My instincts screamed at me to attack. But I knew I had to be careful. Michael was a formidable opponent, and I didn't want to underestimate him.

"Well, well, well," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Look what we have here. The loyal lover comes to rescue his precious Clara."

Michael's eyes narrowed.

"You're not going to hurt her again, Robert," he growled. "Not while I'm alive."

I smiled, feeling a sense of excitement. This was going to be
