West POV
It's been exactly three days since I brought Beta Tim and his daughter back to my pack, I've been restless ever since, I refuse to believe it's because the daughter who I've gotten to know that her name is Aria, is yet to wake up, I've called the pack doctor to check up on her and he said she's malnourished and she is dehydrated at the same time, why would she be malnourished and dehydrated?
Is she not his daughter?
Is he not taking care of her?
All these questions and more have been going through my mind, I can't wait to understand why she's in this state.
I can recall going to meet her father in the dungeon where he was kept
"Who are you and why did you kidnap me?" He asked me, already bleeding from his mouth.
"You are asking the wrong questions" I howled at him, "you should be asking how you can atone for your sins and everything you've committed" I said in a calm voice, too calm for my liking.
"I don't know you, I don't know where I am"
"I can see you are healing fast, quick death is a pleasure to you, you don't deserve anything pleasurable, I'll come back when your daughter wakes" I said, I noticed a slight flicker in his eyes, but it was quickly covered up.
Leaving him to my Beta and Jason is all I can do for now, knowing fully well that if I stay here too long with him, I'll probably tear him to treads, for a lot of reasons, one being the condition his daughter is in right now, but my Beta and Jason would milk out all the information they can about his pack and his actions from him, but I doubt there would be anything they need to know from him that we don't already know.
I have businesses to run in the city among the humans but my body mind and most especially my wolf is not at rest, i need to know that Aria is safe, I need to stop this feelings burning deep within me, I barely know the lad but I can't shake off this feeling, coupled with the fact that my brother is practically glued to her side.
I walked down back to my den, I kept her in my den for personal reasons, the room I kept her is an airy one and my trusted squad are still trying to understand why I kept her in my apartment rather than in the dungeon or in the pack house, but I decided to keep quiet about that, none of them know that she's my mate, but I'm already terrified that something or someone might have hurt her terribly.
Recalling my discussion with the doctor I couldn't help but grit my teeth.
"She's not yet a wolf, Alpha, I can't hear any sound of wolf within her, if not she would have regained her strength, and I think if she doesn't wake up before the end of today, you would need to take her to the human hospital for proper check up" he said with a shake of his head.
"Alpha, one more thing"
"What's that?" I asked.
"I don't know if I should tell you this, but there are mark in unruly places in her body, more like forced bite and I think that if I check it very well, I would see more bites, marks and scratches in more intimate places of her body"
"You won't be looking through the intimate places of her body" I said with a low growl.
"I appreciate all you've done, but please take your leave, I'll keep you updated on her progress."
I pointed towards my brother standing by the door of her room.
"Rio, see him out, ensure you get his personal details" I said dismissing the doctor as I went back to the room.
Entering the room now, I was surprised to see her seated on her bed, immediately I walked in, she looked up at me and stiffened, with a frown on my face, I walked towards her, sat on the bed and tried to take her hand, but she flinched and withdrew back so fast that the bed shook. I was shocked for a moment there.
"Hey! Calm down, I'm not trying to hurt you" I said trying to reason with her. She started shaking her head and distancing herself from me.
"My name is West, West Grey, I'm the Alpha of Bloodmoon pack" immediately I said that finish, she shook her head even more, and started screaming "no.. no no no..."
Immediately, Rio ran into the room, on seeing him, she stood from the bed and immediately ran to him and hid behind him, holding him close.
I saw red, my hands shook and my wolf threatened to jump out to pin my brother to the wall.
Trying to control my temper, I calmly asked him.
"Have you met Aria before?"
