Plan Execution
*NOVA'S POV*
I had gotten every item I needed for my plan to be a success, but my eagerness and momentum were dying the more days I spent at the bar and left empty-handed.
I had been going to The Brass Lantern for five consecutive days, and not once had I sighted Ron. Bonny, who came along with me, tried to keep me hopeful, but my mind still trailed off to the possibility that he had already traveled for the business deal I was trying to stop him from bagging.
Today was the sixth day and Bonny called to say she wouldn't be able to make it, so I was on my own. It didn't make much difference since I hadn't told her about my plan to kidnap Ron.
"Maybe I'll get lucky tonight."
I took a shower and then went right ahead to apply heavy makeup. I had chosen to wear a voluminous blonde wig and brown-colored contact lenses. Even I was shocked and couldn't recognize myself when I saw the new look.
I stepped out headed for the bar, using the key pass Bonny had given me to gain entry. The place was as usual. The air was filled with the rich aroma of whiskey and the hum of conversation, punctuated by the smooth strains of music.
I picked a table where I could get a great view of the entrance. I didn't want anyone slipping by without my notice. However, my eyes could only do so much because of the dim and colorful lights in the bar. It was hard to see people's faces, and the lights made it difficult to distinguish the colors of their physical features.
I was in search of a tall blonde-haired man with green colored eyes. I had no pictures of him just Nora's diary description of what he looked like.
"Ron my friend," I heard someone call from across the room.
"Could it be him?" I wondered.
Looking at the fellow who had called out the name. I followed the direction in which he had waved and saw a man standing close to the entrance.
The man who spoke walked up to the man at the entrance giving him an embrace. I couldn't tell the color of the man at the entrance's hair because of the dim lights. So I decided to get closer. I waited for the two men to get done with their conversation before I confirmed if he was the guy I was looking for.
After they were done talking, my target went to sit alone. He didn't look like he was waiting for anyone. At that moment I swooped past him, and he looked exactly like Nora had described.
As hard as it was to admit, he was a handsome-looking man. He had piercing green eyes that could stop you in your tracks with just one look. His hands looked strong, the kind you would imagine being wrapped in. I could see why Nora had fallen head over heels for him. He looked like he could wear rags and still make them look fashionable.
"Get your head straight Nova, you can't mess this up," I thought, snapping myself back to reality.
It was time to set my plan in motion, and that's what I did. I bribed one of the bartenders to send a drink I had bought to Ron's table. I didn't want to look like the desperate girls who tried to get his attention. I was desperate, but I wanted my tactics to be different from what he was used to.
I stayed at my table waiting patiently for my bait to work. I could see him inquiring about the drink I sent from the bartender. The bartender pointed in my direction and I made sure to give Ron a seductive smile.
He smiled right back at me, and in that moment I felt like I was the one being preyed upon. I was there to get him to fall for me so I could easily drug and kidnap him and not the other way around.
"This is going to be harder than I thought," I muttered to myself.
I knew my plan had worked when I saw him walk towards where I was seated.
"Hey beautiful," he said in his deep voice.
I knew if I wasn't on a mission I would have been charmed by him.
"Hello Ron," I responded in my sexy voice.
"Hmm, only my close friends call me that," he replied while taking the seat beside me.
He dropped his drink right beside mine, and I could feel my hands getting sweaty as it dawned on me what I was about to do.
"Are you nervous sweetheart?" He added, his voice slow and sturdy, carrying an unmistakable strength.
"No, of course not. You are handsome, but it's nothing I haven't seen before," I replied giving him a seductive smile.
"I'm Sonia by the way."
I had come up with a different name because I didn't want him to know who I truly was.
I kept up the act of a girl interested in him which seemed to fuel his ego. He began flirting with me and our conversation flowed smoothly. I was excited that my plan was going well.
talking to him was enjoyable, and I found myself laughing at his jokes. And every time our bodies would touch I could feel the waves of shock it sent down my spine. He had an effect on me that I couldn't deny. I knew if we had met in different circumstances, I would have liked him but I already knew the kind of person he was deep down and this pretty face that faced me, was all there was to him.
it was getting late and I could tell he wanted me in his bed. I wasn't happy about the thought but it meant that I had succeeded in seducing him. I made sure all his attention was on me when I slipped the drug into his drink.
Watching him take a sip from his cup as the drug had dissolved made me so nervous.
"Are you alright," he asked.
"Shit, calm down before he notices something is wrong," I thought trying to pull myself together.
"Yes, I'm just getting tired of this place."
"Do you have any other plans tonight?" He asked bringing his face closer to mine.
"Why," I leaned forward. "Do you want me to fit you into my plans?" His face inches from mine.
"Of course sweetheart. I'll be stupid to let a Beauty like you out of my grasp," he said, giving me a kiss on my hand.
I smiled lightly and asked if he had a place in mind.
"I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise, he responded.
I called the bartender to make payment for the additional drinks we had ordered but he immediately gave his card for the drinks to be paid.
"This was supposed to be on me," I said.
"you already paid for my first drink, I won't have a sweet lady like you paying for the whole bill," he said grabbing my waist and pulling me closer to his body.
He acted like he owned me. Even though I knew I played a role in making him think that, it still did something to my insides.
We stepped out headed for his luxurious car when I noticed he was losing his balance. The drug had started to take effect. I helped him get settled in the passenger seat and asked for his keys so I could drive before he went out cold.
