Chapter 4 Four

Elena's POV

I could not help the look of shock that spread across my face at those words. He was sorry? I was gripped with uncertainty but I had to shake it off. He must have come back to his senses. I was about speaking when Alpha North's laughter filled the room.

"Do you think I will apologize to you? Are you that delusional? I never loved or cared for you and I will never do. Those were all part of my ploy, Elena. I just used you for the time being, because you seemed like the easiest and I wanted to see how far I could go until I break you. I knew I had the opportunity and in fact I would let Liela to do so" he said, emphasizing each word with his cold tone.

I couldn't just believe this is North.

"This isn't you North. Please stop doing this North this isn't you" I said

I was trying as hard as I could not to believe what he just said and I'm trying to convince myself it isn't him saying all these things.

I couldn't even complete my words when Alpha North stepped closer towards me, his eyes cold as it stared into my eyes. I shook in fright as I stepped back. He didn't stop. He enjoyed seeing the look of fear in my eyes. He was thriving with it.

My back hit the wall and he clutches my neck, pressing it hard. The tray in my hand fell as I struggled for breath, clutching at his hand to set me free but his fingers were firm around my neck.

"Please.... North, I'm carrying your child please, our child," I said with struggled breath

"My child? Do you think I care about that child? I don't care if you lose it this instant. That child means nothing to me" he said

My heart dropped hearing his words. I can't believe he was saying all these things to me. He let go of my neck and I bent over, placing my hand on my chest to get in air into my lungs. He pointes towards the broken glass on the floor.

"Step on it," he instructed.

I should step on it? Why? No, I can't do it.

"I can't do it" I said, as tears escaped my eyelids streaming down my cheeks

"Maybe you'll prefer silver chains then" he said, about to call the guards once again.

I moved towards where the broken glasses and stepped on it, feeling the sharp edges of the glass pierce into my feet. I winced in pain but Alpha North didn't care. Once I was done, I stood to throw side. Waiting for his next command.

I was done fighting. I would not win. Alpha North, Leila and even the pack was against me all for the single fact that I was wolfless. If I fought, I would only be broken the more.

"Pick up the glasses" he instructed. "With your mouth" he added. I stared at him in horror but I said nothing, bending over and trying my best to ignore the pain on my feet. I shook with each glass I took.

The sharp edges pricked my lips but I could do nothing about it. Once all was on the tray, I stood.

"You can leave" he said to me

I couldn't believe Alpha North was the one torturing me this way. I left the room, moving through the hallway when I was pulled by the arm by Liela, I was pushed to the ground. My head hitting the table at the side and I blacked out immediately.
