"I have been staring at your beautiful face as you slept throughout the night. You were mumbling some words when asleep. I think last night really got to your head right?" Ferdinand sneered then turned and looked at me.
"I will be going out with my friends later," he continued. "You can come with us if you want."
"No, don't worry. I'm good. I will remain at home," I replied, faking a smile on my lips, trying to forget the past but somehow it still found its way into my head.
"Okay, if you say so," Ferdinand replied before going out through the door. I sighed and fell back onto the bed in frustration. Should I keep staying in this marriage, or just forget about everything and begin from the start?
Four days later, when everything seemed to be fine, I picked up my card and headed to the shopping mall to get some things for myself using my latest Mercedes Benz.
A few minutes later, I reached my destination, dropped down from my car, then gently walked inside the mall. I got milk with a few other things stuck in my shopping basket.
"Hey, Eleanora," a voice sounded behind me. I swiftly turned, and to my surprise, it was Zoey. My face turned red, staring at Zoey with anger. I could feel myself boiling up from the inside, getting more annoyed and disgusted by her presence.
"How could you? I trusted you as my best friend, but you wish to pay my trust back with evil. What have I done to you in order to deserve this kind of betrayal?" I spat angrily through gritted teeth. My fist was already clenched into my palm, ready to make Zoey's face meet the back of her head.
"Well, I don't have anything to say right now, but I want you to know this: leave Ferdinand alone. He's mine and mine alone," Zoey warned with her arms crossed against her chest, staring straight into my eyes with a taunting sneer on her face, it was as if she had been waiting for the moment we cross part so she could tell me the piece of her mind.
her words were like a dagger to my chest. It was unbelievable. I thought she would try to apologize, but instead, she still had the guts to speak badly to me right in my face without any atom of fear, guilt or disgrace. I became more annoyed and angry. My hands began trembling like an earthquake happening right inside my body.
"You think I like it when you end up getting the perfect man? I have loved Ferdinand for a long time, but you just came from nowhere and took him away from me!" Zoey protested with a furious gaze.
But why now? Why is she telling me this now? I knew Ferdinand before she did. I was the one who even introduced her to him as my best friend. Why the sudden jealousy and hatred?
"But Zoey, why not talk about this since before now? Why let me know now?" I asked curiously with a crackling voice.
"What do you expect me to do? Walk up to you and start telling you about my insane ideas and feelings for Ferdinand? It wouldn't be fun. I wanted to hurt you, let you feel that pain from taking something precious from me. That's why I tempted him that night and slept with him. And luckily, he fell into my trap. And do you know the most interesting part of it all? I really enjoyed Ferdinand's big d**k digging deep inside my p**sy," Zoey sneered in a sinister manner, then wiggled her hair in a mocking way just to tease me more.
"What...?" I snapped angrily. I was shocked by her words.
"So this had been your plan all along?"
"Yes, of course. And what will you do about it?" she scoffed laughing.
I couldn't move. It was as if I was tied up in one place. My mind was flooded with unforgettable rage, painting Zoey in black. Zoey walked closer to me, coming up to my face with the difference of just an inch of our lips connecting, and with a smirk on her lips, she said, "You better sign a divorce or I won't let you have peace."
"You bastard," I spoke under my breath. I couldn't move. All I could do was glare at Zoey boiling with intense anger. I couldn't grasp if I was scared of hurting her or trying to avoid trouble. Before I knew it, a series of slaps landed on my face.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
"You don't open your filthy mouth to insult me, you better know your path," Zoey warned after slapping me..
"This is just a warning slaps, for you to leave Ferdinand alone," Zoey sneered with a taunting laughter before walking to the exit of the mall.
Annoyed, I got into my car and drove home, completely enraged. I maneuvered my way straight to my room, only to find Ferdinand standing just a little bit further from me, his back facing me with a paper laying flat on the table at its top placed with a pen.
"Sign the goddamn divorce paper and get your things out of my house," Ferdinand instructed flatly, his voice cold and deep.
My mind snapped like a split of spark. I couldn't grasp what exactly just came out of his mouth. I couldn't believe his words; it felt like a nightmare coming to life, or even worse something I had never expected would happen.
