Chapter 2 Awakening Feelings

Asher couldn't stop thinking about Ember after their moonlit encounter. He found himself replaying their conversation, remembering the way she laughed and the sparkle in her eyes. For the first time in a long time, he felt a sense of excitement and anticipation.

The next day, Asher decided to take a walk in the forest, hoping to clear his mind and process his feelings. As he walked, he stumbled upon a small coffee shop that he had never noticed before. On a whim, he decided to go inside and grab a cup of coffee.

As he waited in line, he saw Ember sitting at a table by the window, typing away on her laptop. His heart skipped a beat as he felt a rush of excitement. What was she doing here?

Asher ordered his coffee and made his way over to Ember's table. "Mind if I join you?" he asked, trying to sound casual.

Ember looked up, startled, and then broke into a smile. "Not at all," she said, closing her laptop.

As they chatted, Asher learned more about Ember's life and interests. He was drawn to her creativity, her passion, and her kindness. And as they talked, he found himself feeling more and more comfortable around her.

But Asher's werewolf nature was always lurking in the background, a constant reminder of the secrets he kept. He knew he had to be careful, to keep his true nature hidden.

As the afternoon wore on, Asher realized that he didn't want the day to end. "Would you like to go for a walk with me?" he asked Ember, hoping she would say yes.

Ember agreed, and they strolled through the streets, enjoying the sunshine and each other's company. Asher felt a sense of connection with Ember that he hadn't experienced in a long time.

As the sun began to set, Asher walked Ember home, feeling a sense of reluctance to let the day end. "I'd like to see you again," he said, his voice low and sincere.

Ember smiled, her eyes sparkling with interest. "I'd like that," she said.

Asher's heart soared as he leaned in to kiss her cheek. "I'll call you soon," he promised.
