Chapter 12 Manipulation

Chapter 13 Trouble

Chapter 14 Art of seduction

/ 1

I quietly stood up, avoiding the crackling of the underbrush, slowly tip-toeing away like a ninja on a night mission.
All I could see was dark; the sunrise was against my actions now as I waited patiently for its brightness to guide in my escape.
I was afraid, but it was better than to stay with the man I didn't love.
I could hear every sound in the woods : distant howling, growling, squeaking, and the quacking of queen bees.
Even the winds sent chills and goosebumps around my body.
I heard a crack of a tree, as if someone was monitoring me up in the dark, so I began to run for my dear life.
Now I felt it was better to have remained with the mysterious god I loathed. I ran, didn't know where to go, but it was better off not being caught.
I ran to a far distance and stopped, panting while I leaned behind a tree, but I didn't see anything.
Was that my shadow after me? I thought they said no one could run faster than her shadow?
I heard another weird sound behind me, so I began to run again; not stopping now until I met a sea.
Where should I go now? So I asked myself.
I was new to the outside world and I needed to get home to my parents.
I panted at the riverbank, the sky all gloomy from the other side of the sea, I looked around tensely, my eyes mistakenly caught someone sitting on the floor at a far distance on the other side of the sea.
He was like a shadow monk because all I could see was black, the tip of his clothing flew behind him with the cool breeze.
He was immovable.
Who could that weird creature be?
At this hour of the night?
His sitting posture was weird, his leg folded inwards like he was doing some ablution prayer. I didn't care and needed direction.
So , I walked towards him.
"Mia, where are you going?! Whoever this creature is could be dangerous!"
My thoughts pricked my mind!
Getting to the uniny creature from behind, he was still immovable, positioned like a meditating monk.
"Hello sir. Could you please give me some direction on how to get to the golden castle? I'm Princess Mia."
He wasn't responding, just there, calm and taking in the cool wind. I couldn't see him clearly from the back, so I stepped forward a little to his front to see who's snubbing me.
Behold, the god I was running from. His eyes were still closed. I tried to fly but hung in the air.
What has caught up with me?
It was his hand, firmly gripping my robe, his eyes still closed and he hadn't moved an inch from where he was sitting.
So weird of him.
I tried to knock his hands off me and I eventually did.
No, I think he just decided to let me go.
While running away, I looked back, he wasn't there anymore. Returning my head straight to look cautiously to my direction, behold him stand before me!
Whooshh!
I bumped into his embrace and he grabbed me, lifting me up like a pillow and sliding me into his shoulder.
Here, my weight failed me. I admit I'm soft, but not like this! I mean, too light? As if I'm cotton.
He must have internal muscles and energy beneath his body, because what would have made him slide me like I was some pillow onto his shoulder was mysterious.
No matter how hard I screamed for help, I wasn't expecting anyone to come save me , nobody could be in the woods by this time , but an animal chase could save me from his hands now.
Oh, I forgot, I didn't have weight.
He could still run with me on him like I was his pair of shoes.
No matter how hard I hit him, it wasn't painful, his face was straight as an arrow, not showing any form of reaction to my hits. But then, I kept on struggling.
He took me back to the others, who were already prepared, waiting for my return. He forced me onto the horse and we continued our journey.
I was screaming for help while on the journey that night, but no one could hear me. Even my maid and the Pearline the prostitute didn't respond to pacify me anymore.
I was like they were enjoying the ride after all. I screamed till I was tired.
Unexpectedly, he quickly snapped my neck, I couldn't feel myself anymore.
The last thing I remembered was that I shut down immediately, slowly falling my head on the horse's back, and something pulled me back to an embrace, probably him holding me in not to fall.
We continued the ride till sunrise. I was sulking to go home.
He forced me into the woods while others waited. He knew how to drag someone and not hurt the wrist. I don't know how he learnt all these, but he was a master in all he has done so far.
I tried to pull back, yelling to take me home but he just kept on going, immovable by my screams like the woods were his.
Oh, I forgot that he's George of the Jungle, but even George was romantic, wasn't he?
Just as I pushed harder, annoying him, he forced me to a tree, pinning my hands up the tree , like he wanted to fvck the hell out of me, his eyes more amber this time as he yelled at me...
"You are just like your father! Full of deceit!"
But what had all this got to do with my father now?
"You think I compelled your father into promising to give me your hand in marriage?"
Now I couldn't talk anymore, I didn't want to flare up his anger any more.
His eyes were about to turn fire and I feared as he spoke to me in such a tone!
"Your father has been lying to you all! He's not who you think he is!"
He continued...
