Blondie Apple's heart tightened.
She clutched her schoolbag to her chest and turned to face the people coming towards her. In an instant, as she twisted her head, a face that was remarkably and transcendently beautiful casually came into view, as if time had slowed down.
Cavan Noah was completely taken aback-
That face, even for someone like him, accustomed to seeing beauty, made his heart skip a beat. So beautiful.
This was undoubtedly the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
Cavan Noah could clearly hear his own heartbeat, growing faster and faster. It felt as if something in his chest bloomed with a bang.
The group of black-clad bodyguards following him were equally dumbfounded. Such a beautiful girl! Amongst everyone present, perhaps only Cavan Noah, with his ethereal beauty, could compete with her. In terms of appearance, there was no clear winner between the two.
"What... what do you want?" On the surface, Blondie Apple appeared shocked, looking bewildered at the people in front of her.
Yet, inside, she scoffed, "With those looks, do you think you can catch me?"
"Don't be afraid, beautiful lady. We are just looking for someone. Have you seen an ugly man around here?" Cavan Noah, who was the first to regain composure, responded.
Blondie Apple subtly raised an eyebrow, "Oh! The lad is rather gentle with beauty. However..." she thought with irritation, "This jerk still thinks I'm ugly!"
"No, I haven't seen anyone like that. Can you let me through? I want to go home." Blondie Apple blinked innocently, her large eyes wide as she asked.
Cavan Noah furrowed his brows, "She isn't here?"
He had searched the entire nightclub himself, and this was the only locked door. Yet, she wasn't here? Could she have vanished into thin air?
"Damn it, once I catch that wretched girl, she's done for!"
"Let's go! Search elsewhere. I refuse to believe she can just disappear."
With those words, he left with his group of bodyguards.
Blondie Apple was overjoyed, "Look at you, you lose, punk. I can indeed disappear in a snap! That's how magical I am!"
She was about to burst out laughing but stopped short. "Damn it, I was too pleased with myself-I didn't notice there's still someone here who hasn't left."
Cavan Noah stood there, staring blankly at her half-smiling lips, lost in thought for a while.
Seeing her glance at him, he quickly averted his gaze, feeling a bit awkward. Without thinking, he asked, "What's your name?"
Blondie Apple had a relatively good impression of this boy. The mix-up with the schoolbag had been resolved without issue, and he hadn't caused her any trouble.
After a brief pause, she gave him a name, "Blondie Apple."
"Blondie Apple?" Cavan Noah repeated the name, lost in thought.
"Mm, it's getting late. I should head home. Goodbye."
"Hold on, the main entrance of the nightclub is sealed off by Cavan Noah. Let me escort you out."
"Well, thank you for that."
The faint moonlight shone on her smooth face, casting a golden glow that made her seem somewhat unreal, like a beautiful enchantress.
Cavan Noah escorted Blondie Apple all the way to the entrance of the nightclub, standing lost in his thoughts even after watching her get into a taxi and drive away. His mind was filled with the image of her extraordinary beauty under the moonlight.
Back in the private room, Cavan Noah furiously kicked the bodyguard to vent his anger.
"Damn it, I scoured the place, but I didn't even catch a glimpse of that brat."
When Cavan Noah saw Cavan Noah brooding alone on the sofa, he couldn't help but tease, "Want to visit a doctor for a check-up?"
Cavan Noah shot him a furious glare, "Cavan Noah, do you think I won't beat you to death?"
"Bring it on!"
"..."
With a defeated expression, Cavan Noah charged at him.
The Islamic Nobility Academy was founded during the Republican period, with a long and storied past.
Blondie Apple stood in front of the commemorative monument at the school gate, looking at the names of historical figures who had walked out of this academy.
Unexpectedly, she saw her father's name.
Felix Apple, the 58th student body president, was the most outstanding student of his time, making a significant contribution to the student council.
Upon seeing this, Blondie Apple couldn't help but feel a lump in her throat.
*Could this be the academy where my parents first met?*
*Mom, Dad, I am also here now-*
Sophomore, Class 3.
"Silence, please, everyone. These are our new transfer students for this term, Blondie Apple and Jessica White," the teacher introduced Blondie Apple to the class.
"Hello everyone, I'm Blondie Apple, seventeen this year. It's nice to meet you all."
"Hello everyone, I'm Jessica White, eighteen this year. It's nice to meet you all."
The two girls introduced themselves, both curiously glancing at each other before sharing a smile.
"All right then, there are two empty seats at the back. Go on and choose your seats because class will start soon."
Both girls replied in unison, "Okay, thank you, teacher."
Blondie Apple chose a seat near the window. Just as she put down her backpack and was about to sit, she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"Smelly girl, where are you going to run this time?"
It's like finding her effortlessly after a futile search.
He had been looking for this person for half the night, and she unexpectedly appears in front of him in this way.
Upon hearing the voice, Blondie Apple suddenly stiffens, as her back seizes.
Only four words are left in her mind: *it's a small world.*
Indeed, it's such a small world!
This guy is actually in the same school and class as her. What's even more fearful is that he actually sits behind her?
Why didn't she notice it just now?
Because Cavan Noah was leaning on the desk, just waking up...
Blondie Apple subconsciously reaches for her backpack, thinking of switching seats. However, she hears the man behind her command sternly, "No changing seats!"
This clever girl, if not kept under his watch, he would not feel reassured.
Blondie Apple certainly won't listen to him, but just as she picks up her backpack, she hears Cavan Noah speak, "Anyone who dares to switch seats with her is against me. Anyone who's not afraid of death can try."
Suddenly, the entire class daren't glance their way.
Blondie Apple grinds her teeth in anger -
Very well, it seems this guy hadn't had enough of her fierceness last night!
Suddenly, someone on the side of Cavan Noah started speaking: "Missy, if you don't mind, how about swapping seats with me?"
"Shut up." Cavan Noah glared at him fiercely, what a nuisance!
It was Cavan Noah.
Blondie Apple gave him a grateful look, but swapping seats with him meant that she'd have to be Cavan Noah's desk mate.
Would that really be okay?
But upon considering it, sitting next to Cavan Noah would allow her to observe every move of his.
Whereas, if she sat in front of him, she'd probably have to be on constant guard against any retaliation, right?
Wouldn't that be exhausting?
So-
Blondie Apple made a decision: "I'll switch!"
Then she picked up her bag, walked over to his seat, and Cavan Noah very cooperatively gave his seat up for her.
Instantly, the entire classroom fell into extreme silence.
Because everyone noticed, Cavan Noah's face had darkened...
Looking at his nuisance of a friend who'd daringly taken the seat in front of him, he gnashed his teeth and said, "Cavan Noah, how dare you?"
Cavan Noah, very unafraid, turned back to look at the two of them, smiled and said, "Hope you two enjoy being desk mates."
Cavan Noah: "......"
Blondie Apple: "......"
Both of them simultaneously cursed in their minds.
*Enjoy being desk mates, my ass!*
