Chapter 2 I'm here for my daughter

(Clara's Pov)

The loud cries of my baby echoing in my ears like a haunting melody,my heart ached for her,to caress her,hold her and care for her like a mother would but I just can't.

I can't care for my baby,all alone nor can I fall in love with a guy,love ain't my thing and I do not think I'll go for it,never.

I'll surely make it up to my little Jewel once I finally gather myself and be responsible. Like my younger sister would always say to me..

"The day you take your life seriously, everything will go smoothly for you"She said.

I sniffed in my tears,held the steering wheel tightly,tears streaming down my cheeks.

My daughter's beautiful face,her pretty smile when I cupped her in my arms,her beautiful eyes,same eyes as mine.

I wiped my tears,now is not the time to break down,I need to start my life again,come back for my daughter after three months. No matter what she's mine and I'll claim her.

"Clara,pull yourself together"My friend held my hand,he has never left my hand for once especially during tough times.

"By this time tomorrow,Mara will get to know I was pregnant for her boss..."I smiled, sniffing my tears.

"Trust her, she'll protect her for sure"Warren said, holding my hands.

"You support me, despite knowing am wrong....

"You've always been wrong,and should I abandon you because you don't listen to anybody but your stubborn mind"Warren said to me, wiping the dried up tears with his thumb.

"If I'm to jump inside hell, will you save me?"I asked.

"That's if it was by accident."He replied bluntly and I hit him.

"Jerk"I cursed him and he laughed.

"Drive, we've to be at the airport before ten"He gave me the car key,I shook my head.

"Can't drive I knew it"He said and exchanged seat with me.

"Thank you"I whispered with a smile,tears lingered in my eyes.

I looked out of the window,the memories I spent in this city,my sexual obsession with men. How I loved to continue but it's over for the sake of my daughter.

That billionaire better take care of my daughter else I'll have his head delivered to me.

With the last smile,I gazed at Warren who only smiled back concentrating on his drive. Then I bid the city a final goodbye.

(Mara's Pov)

I groaned out tiredly, ready to get some sleep with the heavy truth on my chest.

Can't believe my sister slept with my boss and she kept it all to herself,how am I suppose to face that grumpy boss of mine.

How did she meet Zayn Norman?

Where did she meet him?

Why sleep with him despite the fact that I told her he's a cold hearted motherfucker?

Anytime i made mention of how arrogant my boss was she only smirk.

Damn I should've known my sister had something in mind for him.

F*CK my sister's arousal,her sexual desires and my sister herself.

"You still thinking about it?"Naomi asked.

"Isn't it worth thinking about?how am I supposed to convince Mr Norman that I'm the one he slept with?when he knows I'd rather die than let him lay his filthy fingers on me talkless of we having sex"I sobbed rawly.

"It's simple, make him believe that you left for nine months because of the pregnancy, you're scared to take care of her and.....

"Naomi,my boss will find out, he's hard to deceive!"I groaned,dead worried on what to do.

She sneered,seems so confident, she's always though but can she be serious?

"Naomi,I beg you..."

"Girlie,worry less about him,do something for me"She pulled my cheeks.

"Break up with Shawn"She said and I slapped her hand.

Shawn is my boyfriend, we've been dating for a a year now. Though it's a long distance relationship but I love him and I'm convinced he loves me too.

I don't understand the reason behind Naomi telling me to break up with him, she tells me that any chance she's given.

"Are you jealous that...

"I'm not jealous girl, jealous of that jerk?"She scoffs and I raised my brows in question.

"Yes, it's high time you know he's cheating, cheating on you,have you seen him today?does he care?"Naomi said manipulating me as usual.

I stood up angrily,dead angry about what she said.

"You act like some stupid detective, where did you see him cheat?.. you didn't tell me where you found out about Zayn being Jewel's father?"I questioned, raised my brows demanding for an answer.

Naomi scratched her ears nervously, thinking of an excuse.

"If I find out you're a detective, you're dead!"I stood up angrily,hurt,my best friend also doesn't trust me to tell me things.

I packed my bags...Naomi held my hand.

"Hey...

"I'm fine, don't tell me anything,if you don't feel like"I said took my charger and my phone to put in my bag.

Naomi bit her lips,her not trying to stop me from leaving hurt me more. If my sister could keep secret from me,then she can also do the same.

I should be ready for tomorrow,to face my boss and get my niece back at all cost..

"Sam...

"Goodnight"I told her without waving at her,then walked out.

Next morning, I was dressed in denim tight gown,that only covered my thighs,my hair in a bun,I applied powder on my face,to look more like my sister.

"Jewel, your new mommy is coming "I said to my reflection in the mirror.

I put on my heels, carried my bag and headed out with my head held high,my hips swaying as I walked.

The taxi I called waiting for me outside, still there, entered the car and the cabbie drove off.

Stopping in front of the big luxurious mansion,I paid the cabbie, stepped out elegantly. Taking a deep breath,my heart beating faster.

Hope I'm doing the right thing? I don't want anything to happen to my niece,she shouldn't pay the mistake of her mother's selfishness.

Recognised as Zayn's secretary,the guards led me inside,some were happy to see me, while some glare normally.

"Is Mr Norman in?"I asked,the fresh air hitting my skin.

"Yes,seems he gave birth last night"The guard replied.

"Nice"I smiled, Naomi's information is always accurate.

"But last night,a woman was here too....

Before the guards could finish,I heard the baby's loud scream from where I was and rushed inside.

Zayn was holding tiny Jewel in his arms glaring at her, probably scared the little girl.

"You'll scare her more by doing that"I yelled at him angrily,how can he be inhumane to his own child.

Jack overwhelmed to see me, smiled.

"I called you last night and here you're this morning!"He yelled.

"Zayn...

"You're fired,get out!"Zayn ordered,he handled the baby over to a maid. The atmosphere became more tensed, thanks to me.

I smiled."I'm not here as your secretary"

"Whatever you're here for,get out!"Zayn said coldly,Is this the man that wants to take care of my niece.

"Zayn,calm down, you're being harsh to her!"Jack said

"I'm here for my daughter, Jewel" I blurted.
