Chapter 2 Two

I wasn't given the chance to have any conversations with anybody,It all seems like a set up to me.

"You'll account for your father's sins"His words pounded in my heart, ringing in my head.

His words are like daggers piercing into my soul forcefully,so what have I gotten into?

In the car,I was sitting beside him,his eyes cold,focused on his iPad. He's a business man I get but what worries me the most is..

What sins?

Why should I account for it?

How's it my fault?

Did he marry me for revenge?

Those questions rotating in my mind like a tornado.

I closed my eyes,looked away trying to calm my nerves,but I was way to anxious to do that.

Will he kill me?

Does my father knows he has something in mind for me? I sneered if he knew he won't hesitate to push me out to him.

Tears lingered in my eyes,the joyful moments,the laughter the smiles,a memory to remember on my special days.

I remembered,today is my birthday, I'm twenty years old now. The age I promised myself to celebrate myself as a successful student in medical college.

I had dreams, dreams of becoming the famous doctor in the city. It's a pity my father ruined it,he shattered it, tampered with,spoiled everything for me.

Every year on my birthday before my father became a monster, he'll pamper me so much and give me the best birthday I could ever wish for.

This time,I wasn't able to hold back my tears,it cascaded down my cheeks. I went through so much but who do I tell?

Nobody,I have no one except GOD.

My husband smirked,he gave me his hanky, confused and hesitant,I took it from him,wiped my tears.

Soon the drive was over,we stepped out of the car. In a big luxurious mansion,the signboard has it written boldly.

SMITH MANSION.

He took my hand which I reluctantly followed him,why treat me nice after threatening me at the altar.

"Welcome,Mr and Mrs Smith"The workers greeted,bowed politely,I clutched my gown tightly.

"Wow"I said underneath my breath admiring the beautiful mansion,very big and spacious.

Seems his family members were eagerly waiting for me, the instant I entered they'll sprinkled confetti on us.

"Welcome Son"His mother patted him,he took her hands and kissed them. She flustered her eyes at me and I swallowed.

"Aurora, please make them feel comfortable"His father said warmly.

Aurora,nodded,she made arrangements,at the time Levander dropped my hand and left.

His sister staring strangely at me,her eyes made my heart skips a beat every second.. I recognised them on my engagement day.

His aunt held his sister's hand to control her,I saw the strangeness still I acted normal.

"You must be tired,get some rest"Aurora said indirectly cold. She added a fake smile and I walked behind the maid leading the way to the room.

Aurora and Andrew, the father and mother of Levander both sat in the hall.

"Mom,you should've been harsh on her"Zinnia muttered.

"I'm waiting for my son's permission,chill.."Aurora told her.

"Levi's actions is of course dangerous,I agree but she needs to know the reason why he married her"Zinnia snapped,her eyes teary.

"Zee,chill"Aurora told her, pulled her hand.

"Baby,I feel we are doing something bad,I mean she's too innocent to be punished for her father's mistake"Andrew sighed.

"I feel that too, she's pretty and so innocent"Georgia concurred.

Zinnia rolled her eyes angrily, smashing her phone on the tiled floor.

"Hey.."Georgia tried holding but she shoved her hands off.

"Was my best friend not innocent,she was fûcking innocent,yet Gabriel raped her,killed her and....darn!!"Zinnia screams out in tears,hot tears streaming down from the corner of her eyes.

(ZINNIA'S Pov)

Tears streamed down the corner of my eyes,the pain tingling,it hurt so hard, seeing the man's daughter made my blood boil.

My best friend Laura, she's been my shield,the only woman I loved the most after my mom.

She died five years ago,not a natural death,Laura was raped by Gabriel. I watched the video of how he stabbed her,he stabbed Laura so many times.

Damn... Took a while,I was in denial when I heard about death, seeing the evidence was terrifying.

My brother filed a case against him, fought for justice to be served but as usual sinners get their way out.

Gabriel was never convicted,he was influential and had connections,he didn't know my brother was fighting this case else he won't allow his daughter into a marriage like he did.

Laura's parent were in charge of it,my brother only offered help for years I yearned for nothing but revenge.

How greedy he was,he made a deal with my brother to boost his business and he'll give his daughter to my brother to wife.

I stay up all night pretending to be fine but I was never fine.

"Zinnia, your brother has everything in his control, you've been this patient,wait a little bit more"My mother consoled me and I cried in her arms.

"We're with you, Laura's death won't go, she'll surely pay for her father's sins"She told me.

Levander entered,he stopped on his track.

"If I'm like this,how will Levi feel? He was in love with Laura,he never got to tell her how he felt before Gabriel snatched her life "I cried in tears.

My mother became emotional,it hurts to see my tears,to know her son is in pain even if Levi doesn't speak about it.

Georgia and Andrew exchanged glances,Levi never liked any girl except for Laura.

"Wipe your tears"I heard Levi's voice from behind and I sniff.

He approached me with his hands in his pocket,his eyes deadly.

"I've told you multiple times to stop your tears,cut your emotions don't fûcking show it!"He yelled with no sympathy in his eyes.

"Levi,it hurt!"I growled.

Levi's eyes reddened,I said that to provoke his feelings. Aurora touched his hand,he looked at our father then Georgia.

"Worry less,today marks her ruination"Levander muttered and I smiled in satisfaction.
