Chapter 5 0005

I stood outside the school gate, waiting for my dad to come pick me up. Abigail and Ava had already left in a cab, so I was all alone.

As I waited, I saw James walking out with two of his friends. I didn't know their names, but they looked like they were having fun, laughing and talking as they headed to their cars.

I don't know why, but something stirred inside me when I saw him. It was a strange feeling-one I couldn't quite explain. Maybe it was curiosity, maybe something more. But then, the memory of how he embarrassed me yesterday hit me, and anger quickly replaced whatever I was feeling.

Around me, a few girls were giggling and whispering to each other, their eyes following James and his friends as they walked those their cars.

"I really wish one of them would ask me out... especially James," a girl behind me said dreamily to her friend.

Her friend burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" the first girl asked, sounding annoyed.

"Because you and I both know none of them would even look your way," her friend replied with a smirk. "And watch your mouth-remember the slay squad will be resuming tomorrow."

They laughed again and walked off, still talking.

I rolled my eyes and let out a loud hiss. Talking of slay squads I can't wait to see them tomorrow, not because I like them, but because I want to see the three girls who beat up another girl just because of a guy. Seriously, Sounds more like pure stupidity to me.

Not long after, my dad pulled up in front of the school. I quickly got into the car and gave him a warm hug before he started driving.

When we got home, I headed straight to my room. I took a quick shower, changed into something comfy, and tossed my school uniform into the washing machine.

Then I walked to the kitchen, grabbed some snacks and a glass of orange juice, and went back to my room.

I flopped onto my bed, opened my laptop, and started doing some research for school. The house was quiet, I guess Dad is in the study room walking.

**

James had been in his room ever since he got back from school. He was sitting on his bed, wearing only a pair of black shorts. His chest was bare, making the tattoo across it clearly visible.

With his headphones on, he strummed his guitar softly, lost in his own world. The music seemed to calm him, his fingers moving smoothly over the strings as he played.

James was completely lost in the music. He didn't even notice when his mom walked into the room.

Mrs. Walter quietly sat on the couch, watching her son for a moment before gently tapping his shoulder.

"Hey, Mom," James said as he pulled off his headset and dropped the gaiter.

"James, we need to talk," she said, standing up from the couch and sitting down on the edge of his bed.

James sighed and rolled his eyes, already guessing where this was going. "I'm listening, Mom."

"It's about what happened last night between you and your dad. I-"

"I don't want to talk about that," James quickly cut in, his tone sharp.

"Don't interrupt me, James. I'm still talking," Mrs. Walter snapped, raising her voice, then took a deep breath to calm down.

She reached out and gently held his hand. "James, you're too young for all this. You need to change, son."

Hearing that made something in James snap. He pulled his hand away and stood up, his face filled with frustration.

"Oh, now I'm too young, huh? Where was that energy when I was little-when you used to leave me alone with the nanny all the time? All you and your husband ever cared about was your business. Business trips here and there. Even when you were home, you were too busy making videos and handling orders to spend time with me. If you had been there for me back then, maybe I wouldn't be this version of James. But you know what? I actually like who I am now."

He walked over to the wardrobe, pulled out a green shirt, and put it on without saying another word.

"I know, James," Mrs. Walter said, tears welling up in her eyes. "I know I failed you. That's why I quit my job-so I can be here for you and your sister. I want to fix things. Please, let me."

James didn't look back. He buttoned up his shirt, grabbed his phone and bike key, and walked out of the room.

"And where do you think you're going?" Mrs. Walter called after him, hurrying to follow. But James didn't stop or answer.

James rode his bike for a long time, far away from home. When he finally stopped, he parked by the side of the road and found a quiet bench to sit on. He sat there, watching cars zoom past and people walk by, lost in his thoughts.

His mind drifted back to the past-those lonely days when his mom and dad were always traveling for business. Every month, they left him behind without a second thought.

He was just a kid, left alone in that big house with only his nanny, Elizabeth. She looked so sweet and innocent-like someone who wouldn't hurt a fly.

Anytime his parents were out of the country for their usually business trip. Elizabeth would always come to his room and Force herself on him he was just 9 year's old then this continue until he became 10 years old. Anytime he tried talking to his Mom or Dad about it they will always say "James go play, James go and read"

Elizabeth started taking him to club anytime she's going, and this continue for six months and he has gotten use to having sex with Elizabeth his nanny that he no longer bother his parents.

But one day, His Grandma who's now late came to house without informing any body. During that period Dad and Mom where out of the country.

Grandma came Into the house and walked to my room only to find me and my nanny Elizabeth having s**. She was shock that she stood there for some seconds with saying anything before she scream.

She called the police and the came immediately and took Elizabeth for child abuse. Grandma also called my mom and Dad they came back the next day with their private jet.

Grandma was so disappointed with Mom for always leaving me with my nanny everytime. Mom wipe and quiet her job leaving my Dad to run the company all alone.

But the damage was already there, I was already use to have s** and clubbing.

James' phone rang. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw that it was a call from Demien.

"Hey, buddy," James said, answering the call.

"Bro, are you coming to the club tonight? I'm already here-so many hot girls everywhere!" Demien shouted over the loud music in the background.

James smirked. The noise from the club was loud, but he didn't care.

"Of course. I'm in the mood to make some girls scream my name tonight," he said with a grin, then ended the call.

He slipped the phone back into his pocket, got on his bike, and rode off.
