Chapter 4 ENCOUNTER WITH THE BILLIONAIRE.

The incident that happened in that office building, would never ever depart from my mind.

I got this job, right?

Yes!

But, I lost it immediately, because I refused to warm his bed. That was the most disgusting misconduct that I had ever experienced.

Now, I had to cry back home, while trekking by foot. I really needed some time to process what just happened to me.

"Dear God, what am I going to do right now?" I asked that question, while looking up to the heavens. I was outrightly devastated.

To make matters worse, my job at that bar has also ended. That wicked supervisor would be the last person to accept me back.

Indeed, this was the worst phase of myself. Being in a state that I couldn't fend for myself. To make matters worse, the landlord was also breathing down my neck about his rent.

Gosh! What do I do now?

"Watch where you're going, Miss..." The driver of a car that almost hit me spoke in anger. It was after he said those words that I realized that I had stepped into the middle of the road.

That was really disturbing.

"I'm... I'm... I'm sorry..." I apologized amidst stammering.

What was I even going to do?

What was I going to tell my mother, after raising all her hopes high?

What?

"You better watch where you're going, or you risk being knocked down like a piece of trash." The driver said, and drove off hastily.

At this point, I didn't know where I was heading to. Couldn't go home because of my landlord, and I also couldn't go back to the hospital because I didn't know what to tell my mum.

Just as I was still pondering in thoughts, I heard the honk of a car from a distance, and I raised my head and realized that it was that same car that I had altercations with, earlier.

Well, I focused on my thoughts, as I felt like they were obviously waiting for someone else.

"Young lady, the car in front is obviously waiting for you." Someone nudged me from the back, and I gasped.

"Me?" I didn't even get a reply, as the stranger walked past me.

Now, I had to hasten my steps a bit, so that I'd know why the car in front was waiting for me.

"Young woman, why do you look devastated and disturbed?" A thick baritone voice asked me from the back seat, and just then the car windows were winded down.

Honestly, I couldn't contain such handsomeness from a man. He had a nice physique, white teeth, dimples, very pink lips, a straight nose, sea blue eyes and many other attributes that I couldn't describe.

Coincidentally this encounter wouldn't be their first meeting as they had met several times before, the first encounter was when he helped her out with some street thugs a few weeks ago,a few days later he came by the bar she worked at with a friend. I'm sure he doesn't know who i am.

"Are you okay, young lady?" His thick voice brought me back to reality.

At this point, I didn't know the answer to give him. I didn't know if it was wise to tell him my life story, or just lock up my identity.

"I'm... Yes... No... I'm sorry, I..." I couldn't bring myself to think straight.

The thoughts that I had going on in my mind were really overwhelming and extremely confusing.

"Say no more. You can hop into the car, let's take you home." He said with a fine smile.

"I'm okay, sir. Thank you..." I blurted.

He paused for a while, before saying a word to me.

"Does it look like I intend to harm you?" he asked with a calmer voice. "Now, you can get into the car, let's take you home..." He said to me again, and I didn't have a choice than to oblige.

After all, I wasn't a celebrity that would be kidnapped, because even if anyone decided to kidnap me at this instant, no one was going to pay any ransom.

"Urmm, thank you, sir." I said to him with a warm smile.

He looked at me, and smiled back.

"You don't need to be scared of anything." He said. "I'm not going to harm you. So, where do you live, can we drop you off?" He asked, and my heart skipped for a second.

Did I need to tell him the truth about my identity, or did I have to pretend like everything was alright?

Well, I would narrate my life story to him.

"Life hasn't been fair to me." I finally spoke up, and he turned around to listen to me.

"What is the matter with you?" He asked me, and I cried out in despair.

My story was really a very sad one.

"I'm at the point of being evicted from home by my landlord. He has even served me a court order to vacate his property." I struggled to hold back my tears.

"Is that just the issue?" He asked me with so much calmness.

Honestly, his question really shocked me.

"Not just that. My life is in shambles, sir." I muttered in tears and pain.

"Young Miss, you need to speak up, so that your helper can start from somewhere." He said to me,

"Fine. I'd speak. My mother is in her final stage of lung cancer, and the doctor told me yesterday that she had just less than three months to live. Now, where do I get money for her treatments?" I cried in tears.

Even though he looked so much like a hard man, I could tell that he was moved by my story, to a certain level.

"There's no need to cry." He said to me with a smile. "Change your direction. Let's move to my bar." He said to the driver.

"Yes, sir." The young man responded.

"So, your major problem is your house rent, and money for your mother's chemotherapy, right?" The man asked.

I stared at him to be sure that I wasn't dreaming.

"Yes... Yes, sir." I responded.

Just then, we arrived at a very familiar bar. It was at the bar that I work at.

"I own this place." He said with a smile. "Let's go in." He ordered, and I obliged immediately.
