And then, the girl's hands were on her shoulders as she leaned into his personal space, leaning her head close to his ear. Xander shuddered when the warm breath hit him.
Xander could not help but close his eyes at the scent that now hit him.
The stranger must have been wearing scent blockers that were now wearing off.
Omega. Without any doubt.
"I'm Rosie," the girl said, and Xander, now looking at the reflection of both of them, licked his lips while Rosie touched the soft skin behind his ear with the tip of her nose.
"Want to get out of here and have a drink? I could use a little distraction myself after today. Seems we have a lot more in common than just pretty eyes."
Was this some weird dream?
Something his drunk mind was coming up with?
"Uh huh," Xander replied, cursing himself for obviously having lost all ability to speak.
"Xander. I'm Alexander."
Rosie looked up and met Xander's eyes in the mirror.
Her eyes had a weird color. Something gray, green, or blue that Xander could not quite place, but more interesting to him was that they were reflecting the girl's intelligence but also a certain insecurity, as if she was acting braver than she really felt when approaching an alpha like that.
One of her hands moved down the side of Alexander's gray jacket and found a resting place on his hip, pulling him slightly closer, letting Alexander feel the warmth that radiated from her body.
"Alexander," Rosie whispered, her breath a caress on Xander's skin, making him close his eyes and lean against her body.
"Xander."
He knew this was crazy, maybe a mistake, but he could not do anything against the magnetic power this omega had over him.
Xander finally turned around, Rosie's hand never leaving his waist, and then put a hand flat against his chest, looking up into those strangely colored eyes in which he found an unspoken question, and then he leaned on the inch that separated them and Rosie moved her own head at the same time lower and their lips met for a soft and gentle kiss.
Both closed their eyes, making a sound of approval, and then, within seconds, this gentle, probing kiss became heated.
Xander's hands found Rosie's shoulders, holding onto her, while the omega wrapped an arm around him and pulled him against her.
Xander tasted like beer and smelled like the sun, warm and somehow relaxing, intoxicating.
His slight evening stubble tickled her cheeks and chin, his lips demanding.
They continued to kiss for what felt like minutes until Rosie's lips, red and swollen, separated from his and looked into her questioning eyes.
"Let's get a room," Xander said.
"I know I should not spend the night after...like this, but...fuck it..."
Rosie seemed to hesitate for a moment, but then she shared a bright smile and gave him a nod.
"I usually...but yeah, you're right, fuck it. Let's go," she only said, pressing another kiss to Xander's lips.
Hand in hand, side by side, the two made their way out of the restroom and through the bar.
Xander saw the bartender giving him an inquiring look, then noticed the woman beside him and very clearly rolled his eyes and shook his head, chuckling.
"I don't need the taxi anymore, please cancel it," Xander told the girl at the front a minute later he had been talking to just a little while ago.
"Instead, I need a room for the night."
The hotel employee looked at him for a second, never losing her smile, and he saw that she was for just a second looking at Rosie, who was shifting from one to the other foot next to him, but then she remembered his name and gave him a nod.
"We have a Master Suite free. Would that work for you, sir?" She asked, and Xander replied with nothing more than a nod.
"Book it at the company," he said. "Our card should be on your file."
"Of course, sir," she said, already typing something into her computer station and then handing him a keycard that Rosie snatched from his hand with a grin.
"Have a nice stay."
Xander did not reply, instead, he took the hand of the omega by his side and went with her to the next elevator, unable to wait much longer to get closer to the stranger that he only met minutes before.
Stepping into the elevator, they remained standing side by side, despite both wanting to return to kissing the other. Thank heavens, their way to the hotel room on the 14th floor did not take long.
Xander wasted a thought that he should have drunk more, or less, that he was happy he was not drunk, a little tipsy maybe, and maybe the alcohol he had consumed had helped him loosen up a little.
He had never really been the one to go for one-night stands, not even during college when his friends all chased after omegas, but tonight, it felt like the right thing to do.
After they had finally reached their destination, Rosie opened the room door with the keycard, having Xander wrapped around her back like an octopus, pressing kisses onto her neck.
Closing the room door behind them, they both tumbled inside wrapped around each other.
Their lips locked, they stumbled through the dark room, crashing against a side table and a chair, and finally made their way into the bedroom.
The moonlight now lit up the room, dipping it in a silver light.
Xander smiled at the neatly made bed, shaking his head a little, but never stopped kissing her while pushing her down onto the mattress.
Together, they almost fell onto the bed but remained sitting close to each other, their kisses growing deeper and deeper, tongues battling for dominance in a fight both knew neither would win.
Rosie moaned into the kiss, hands in the soft waves of the man, lids only half-closed because she could not stop admiring the man who was robbing her of control and filled her senses with things she found herself surprised about.
Only when Xander let his jacket slip from his shoulders, and started to pull his shirt off, did he separate shortly from her, but their lips crashed again into a hot kiss seconds later.
Rosie started to kiss the soft skin around Xander's lips, then moved slowly lower, kissing his neck and shoulders, licking over his already stiff nipples and kissing his chest, kissing his hard abdominal muscles.
While the omega was kissing and nibbling at the soft skin there, Xander leaned back and opened his pants with one hand, the other in Rosie's silky, honey-colored hair.
